Truth be told, as a South African who lived through Apartheid, what's happening in Palestine is a lot worse in my opinion. Its nothing short of horrific.

Over 70 years of ruthless occupation and deplorable behaviour has emboldened Israel. The world needs to also recognise the enabling position it has played over the years.

Israel should be deeply worried but so should the US, UK and Germany for their complicity in genocide.

I'm holding my breath on this to take place. It is a watershed moment for the international community to prove its relevance, and for everyone involved to face reality. Machover speaks of a failure of the UN. But in the UN, only two countries have actually ever blocked measures against Israel: the USA and Israel. These two countries are the real problem. Israel's settlement policy on the West Bank is land grabbing, as in the case of Russia and Crimea. The difference is that in the case of Crimea, the annexation took place without violence because the majority of the Crimean population is Russian and supported/approved of the annexation. So West Bank is probably more comparable to the case of Eastern Ukraine / Donbas. The USA is dragging the West into a very unfavorable geopolitical situation. And the stupidity of the US people is incomprehensible. Not only do they not approve of Israel's actions. They also finance Israel generously. The latest US aid package for Israel is several times larger than the recent one for Ukraine.
