This loadout surprised me in Battlefield 4! 

The AN-94 is also a monster when you use the burst feature.

M16 was a sleeper weapon in BF4 :)

At this point in the game's life, I started using weapons I get the least kills with. Sorta like a bucket list before BF6 remasters lots of the guns in this game with current gen bells and whistles.

The m16 has always been a staple in competitive on console

so on console it is more common to see the m16, i play it with just the short grip and it's working quite good so far.

Consult Ravic for any questions about the M16A4. He is the master of that weapon.

The M16A4 also has better bullet velocity than many of the other assault rifles, which is part of what makes single fire or controlled bursts so good for it at longer ranges. That coupled with high RPM at close range when you get the timing down makes for one of the best guns that nobody uses.

The Ravic Special, running it with Ergo/Vert and HBAR. Absolutely ridiculous fun.

"...very rarely see people use it." That's odd.. maybe it's the servers you frequent but this weapon is still a staple of the Assault class both on PC and Console. This video honestly surprised me. The M16A4 was the main load out you faced back at launch and I still find myself facing it today, years later. This would be an interesting study actually, on what players from different regions use the most. Maybe the meta changed over the years, I dont know. I personally haven't played core mode in ages. All I play is hardcore conquest so I guess for us it makes sense that we use single/burst fire modes on our weapons.

M16 with the ACOG is a W in herdcore. Good upclose and great in long range on single fire. My go to assualt gun as a 140

The M16 is my most used weapon in BF4, it's a marvelously underappreciated rifle. Takes a little practice, but it's remarkably versatile, especially on the bigger maps. Generally run it with an ACOG, heavy barrel, angled grip, and either a laser or canted irons to aid in close range. Pairs wonderfully with the Serbu Super Shorty.

Stubby and muzzle break has been what feels best on it for me. I forgot what it was I read about how the stubby works on burst guns but it was recommended and it made it feel more consistent.

Would love to see a full depth review of the AR-160 or the A-91! Great weapons

In every battlefield I try to use weapons from my teams nation or guns no one uses lol

I was in the marine corps from 2011-2015 so I mostly exclusively used the M16A4 as I've fired it IRL often, the M4A1, m240B, the m249, and only the US DMRs.

Back in BF3 one of my top weapons was the KH2002. Over 1000 kills with it. 2 shot burst and never saw anybody else on Xbox use it.

That was my favorite weapon back in the bf4 days . I play on console without fov of course so it was the perfect weapon in terms of recoil .

As sidearm I nearly always have the SW40. So powerful, nimble, fairly fast enough firing and on point. Love it! Always bring down a couple of people in one charge in cq combat

The fist time i tried this gun, I used it for a full day. I love it. If you know how to fire it right, it's a freaking BEAST

Drifting tanks is so underrated, you get immediate rear shot on the enemy if you do it right

M16a4 is the only weapon i’d use without any attachment on... but would occasionally add on laser sight / underslung+mass depend on mood

M16, Scar, F2000, SG553, M416 in that order are my favorites. M16 is deadly accurate out to range with fast ttk and can still be handy cqb

I’ve always had a problem with burst firing when at medium range with normal assault rifles and this weapon was awesome, went 22-3 with it.

the m16a4 was a very very popular choice on xbox and many players used it, because of the precision you had even when playing with a gamepad where recoil control is much harder than with a mouse.

I play on the Xbox and you see it quite often. Definitely one of my go to weapons

m16 is my fav AR, slap an angled/folding grip on that bad boy and you beam people from suprising ranges

M16 with attached shotgun and magnum for side weapon. That was crazy.

You should do a video about picking up every gun you find after killing an enemy. I've been doing this to keep bf4 interesting while waiting for bf6

i played BF 1942 back in 2002 on a computer. I have this on PS4.. not too bad. but I miss PC/ mouse shooting.

My all time favorite and most used AR in BF4.

And water is wet. The M16 and any AN94 are all nutty and always have been across bf3 and 4

guilin peaks is by far the best map. i loved tdm on that one, but rarely any servers play it anymore

My favourite loadout for this gun is stubby grip, silencer and the flir for precise mid to longrange kills.

Ak 12 on burst was also fun. No one used it this way.

Maybe its because im on console but this gun is nearly as common as the AEK. Perfect mid range gun, run it with just a stubby grip and go pop some heads! This and the M4 are my go to assault & engineer guns

I wish people would play Pearl Market more, it's such a good map.

This is a very great weapon, just like its little sister, the M4, I have done over 100,000 kills with these two guns. I play with them one by one. The best guns in my opinion.

What is good about m16a4 is that burst because, it kind of work like a feint or(trap) to the enemy. Then you Can aimed more quicker. Try it that way.

That m16 is my favorite gun for medic class the most kills I got in one match was 65kills 10 or 15 deaths and thats on a good day

One weapon I’d like to see more of is the AUG it is a skill canon

Last time I checked my bf4stats(when they available) I was TOP3 worldwide with M16A4. 500h with this weapon and 700 stars. I'm playing with it almost from the beginning and I think it's most underappreciated weapon on BF4 , especially for hardcore mode.

Maybe you can try the GROZA-1 in the engineer class. One of the funniest guns to use in BF4.

every time I told someone that the M16 is a "hidden gem" they always brushed it off until I forced them to play it for at least 2-4 rounds. If you can figure out how to "spam" your mouse button correctly, this thing is a beast on the Medium/Close range.

Tbh just set it up like the A3 from BF3. Guns great and in all honesty it's like my top 5 right now for most kills. Idky either just turned out that way 😂

i gotta say, i played the AUG and now its my fav. weapon no idea why but somehow it feels better without any scopes

my only gripe with the M16 is that the bursts will be like laggy or inconstient if you dont time it correctly. Which anoys the crap out of me.

I got +20.000 kills, 25% accuracy with the M16A4 on PC. Good to see that it finally gets the attention it deserves.

Personally i use the m4 carbine varient over the m16 but i can see how the m16 can be really good

You should try the AUG A3, the SAR-21 and the AR160. They are all laser beam accurate but have a rather slow-medium rate of fire. However the recoil is mostly non-existent. In my opinion they are pretty underrated, especially the AR160. I have very rarely seen anybody running around with it

Try the Aug guys , nice medium between range & hipfire , slap a vertical grip , heavy barrel & coyote and let it rip!

Burst fire weapons are under rated, acquire the skill and it can be an advantage, as you say it’s all about the timings and practice.
