The rory mercury court scene is legendary! I often watch that scene on youtube. Its the perfect example “one more second and the room got some new red wallpaper”. She is the perfect example of fuck around and find out.
When this first came out I ignored it, expecting it to be lame, but when I sampled an ep I watched it. Rory is a hoot. Most importantly it's not written with stupid plot holes. And if you watched this recap, don't worry, they only showed a fraction of the good scenes and certainly nothing of the ending.
Oh no, you figured it out. In reality, Itami tripped on the stairs while going to the doujinshi event and knocked himself out. And the entire series is a figment of his imagination while he's in a coma.
Emporer: lets not fight the guys with big guns Princess: lets not fight the guys with big guns Litterally almost every senate member with a brain: lets not fight the guys with big guns The bratty son: fuck it lets fight guns with swords
Its a political in the world of the anime. I like to call it in-universe politics. Just like overlord there is a huge number of politic thats only counts in that universe.
You know what, when you watch ita third time, yeah just look at the political parts and its and entirely different show. I mean Rory VS the Diet Politician should make that pretty obvious. Every country has "that idiot" making this scene pretty universal.
yeah, i think the part that people point out is where japan beats american, russian, and chinese agents all at once (pretty unrealistic, so a little nationalism sprinkled in there)
the only thing i surprise didnt see is all of the operations done by japanese military didnt include any of APC or IFV. i only sees jeeps, tanks, SPGs, aircrafts, jets, and copters.
What an unfortunate job for the MC. He is the best person to be in relations with the medieval countries, but he doesnt really have any power. If the government or even his higher up ordered him to do something, he would have to or die. He has power now, adventuring to save relations, but the real evil is the kind and presidents who are actually making choices. People can die, and MC has to follow those orders. If only he could be a knight that ventures on, answering to no king
I'm pretty sure MC acted of his own accord multiple times during the story. Even when the Dark Elf girl was trying to get help, everyone was telling her that Itami would probably go out of his way to help her even if he wasn't ordered to. The same thing happens at the end, when they rescue the princess, the mission was not sanctioned, which means, he was acting on his own (even if the higher ups were aware of it, they officially never gave him any orders).
@@Chaosdogg47 I get it, he is a nice person. All i was saying is that as a military soldier, you dont get that freedom usually. You got orders, and the higher ups dont care about you. You would be meat shields till a tank or helicopter can come in and kill the enemy. You are ordered to defend a building, even though outside people are dying. Doesnt matter, you dont risk the building by letting those people in. Its a story, so im glad it works out for the most part. BUT a good example is the embasy and that little princess who was running there for immunity. Those soldiers will stand there and watch that refuge get murdered or Graped right infront of them. They might not personally like it, but they risk death or even starting a war if they pass that borderline. Its not a good job to have if you want to have freedom to act as you like. You represent the government, and anything bad you do is representative.
@@United.Kingdom. hell, due to historical reasons and treaties, Japan cannot build/maintain a standing army... the ONLY reason Japan has the approval to have a self-defense force, is that they can ONLY operate in Japan, to defend Japan.
