One thing I forgot to mention! The Cookies in the timeline are randomized, its not the same for everyone. It seems it only shows cookies players have yet to get.
I understand that Devsisters wants us to get cookies easier, but I honestly miss the Gacha where you have to spend your gems and keys to get the cookies you want. It's gonna take a while to get used to the new Gacha.

This update gonna give us short-term benefits by leveling up cookies insanely fast, but then we will run out of cookies to power. And oh god, imagine the Trophy Race pains with everyone having near max Longan
it was fair earlier because you had a special chest where you could guarantee atleast 15 of a cookie and still passively earn older cookies so you could still even be able to level up all theese cookies
As a f2p i thought things would become easier Then I realized unlocking cookies relies on getting gud in Cookie Trials....which in turn relied on having leveled cookies pets and treasures.... I am pained.jpg
I personally liked this new system, I maxed currant cream and mint choco in one day only with this system, but my only problem is that the amount of star candies given per rank is too low for to get a new cookie
I agree. I enjoy the new system, but the star candies are way too low to be worth working toward. I think with some tweaking this system could be great!
Me either I like new system, but I don't need handle this, because I have every cookies and pets, except would be problematic maxing out legendary pets and cookies, because upgrades really expensive.
Well also will took alot time until I max all epic cookies and pets, even treasures and I started play this game then Longan Dragon patch got released.
People hated gambling, but Devsisters found something worst, especially for new players. The free to play players who grinded in the past at least have their old efforts, but the rehashed systems suck.
I'm honestly SHOCKED that more people aren't angered by this update. Like, cool, no gambling I guess! But on the other hand, it feels like it's a gigantic "fuck you" to f2p players who wanna get all the cookies, among other things :/

See. I spend 2900 for one. And when I want to level up and got no spirit potions, we have to pay with diamond too. It's not like those spirit potions is easy to come by 😑
This update it just good for player who have completed all trial cookies. But it will torture new players. Because their progress will be very slow. I think they need to lower the price to buy cookie and cost for upgrade cookie. They make cookie over price
i do agree that cost of obtaining a cookie should be a bit lower. like, that's just one copy? though i feel that to balance that out, they'd make a single copy of a cookie once obtained would be more expensive.
@@sophiix yeah for example Legendary cookie. It cost 3600 for cookie/fragment and 2400 for pet/fragment. cheaper than the previous price but still expensive If you buy the Legendary cookie it cost alot

I actually (personally) really like the update!! I feel like it's a bit hard to understand at first but leveling cookies and pets up feels way less stressful. They upgraded the cookie trials crystal rewards so you get even more from there and also added like a time limited event so you can get extra crystals if you reach Diamond in the trial. (I just hope that the new events double their crystal rewards as well, and they probably will because the chests aren't even in the game anymore, so they don't have much reward options). I also like that they gave the trials a new reason to be played, since they removed the bonus missions for the newer cookies magic candies. My main concern is that new players may have a lot of trouble getting new cookies this way, since you can only get one at a time, and that the amount of star candies you need to unlock them without crystals is way too high. It's actually BETTER to just pay the crystals to unlock them directly since leveling up the cookies and the pets and the magic candies ends up being like 4 times more expensive. I feel like it's way too early to judge the update this early on, it's only been a couple of weeks. They'll probably realize that at some point they're going to have to balance things out a bit so these issues can be fixed, and make it better for everyone, not just older players. Some solutions could be: - Having better rewards at events, golden chests, making up a daily crystal grinding system thing (like the coin event that's going on rn, there was an event that was like that, called the "Crystal Cave" or something. There was also a piggybank event where you could spend crystals, they would get saved in the bank, and then you could retrieve them back and also earn extra rewards). And maybe add a new player only event/feature where it helps them gain potions or crystals a little faster so they can catch up with the scarily unbeatable trophy run cookie grinders. - Adding more star candies per rank at the trials. - Reducing the potion creation cooldown at the lab maybe?? ok finished, sorry for making the comment so long LMAOO i was just waiting for a video like this to show up to rant, ok love yall byeeee
The sad part for me is they changed the legendary/epic/rare/common background a little darker shades cuz the brighter one kinda was better and the gacha system being removed is worse then millennial tree cookies magik candy and trial is the worst now and cuz of it I officially hate current cream cookies if they want us to max them then we could at least get more gems on breakout cuz they just add 50 on to different ranks ur on and probably could add more chapters ( my opinion ) and gems look worthless
For me it's ok . Less grindy for cubes now I got only today over 5 k cubes because of this update. Gems use it only on the newest get max trial and repeat all over I'm almost maxed . I think it's very helpful for new players
When devsisters first showed this update I thought everything would be so much more easier and now it looks like they want people to buy their gem packages to max out their cookies the only fix for this new system that I see is if they allow us to also get those level points for the cookie in their trial. (example : Gingerbrave's Trial) also this update could cause new players to quit early so hopefully they actually get people to test the update or give us more options to level up cookies.
HIGHLY agree with you. I definetly preferred the old gacha where you had to spend your keys/gems to give you multiple cookies. Now, the potions are actually fairly easy to get, and I think i preferred those rather than the spirit potions, which, don't get me wrong, were absolutely HARD to get. Now, spending your keys/gems to get multiple cookies (esp. the one you picked for the guarantee), that was better. But spending your gems for just ONE COOKIE? Yeah that is just ABSURD for just a lvl. 1 cookie you have to spend your gems on. Correct me if I'm wrong, but ONE unit of a cookie costs like 45 gems? That's another reason why I preferred the old gacha. There was a mileage thing (where you could buy legendary/epic pets/cookies,) What they did was just REMOVE that mileage and replace it with temporary exchange. And to the people who had very low mileage by the time they removed the mileage, you are DEFINETLY gonna have a hard time maxing your legendary cookies. (ex. i have a lvl 10 millenial tree cookie. and in fact the only place you can get more of him is the MAIN EPISODE OF BREAKOUT.) And do you know which legendary cookie is probably the hardest to get? I would say Timekeeper Cookie. In fact the only place you can get her is the breakout shop. Honestly they should add Millennial tree (and his pet) to the breakout shop and Timekeeper (and her legendary pet) to the breakout reward. Im done with my rant here lol, if you have any other things that the update has that is controversial, please let me know!
Video kinda felt rushed and made with anger issues but yeah I get it. Instead of fixing things like costume and treasure gacha they fixed what's not needed to but I see this update fine. Pros: Now upgrading cookies cost cheaper (45/30 gems for 1 copy of epic cookie/pet and 3600/2400 for legendaries) No gacha (good for the game's health) Cookie trail rewards being buffed (they moved hard mode rewards to normal) Conversation of unused keys to fair amount of potions Making potions in lab being easier (now we get pot scrolls instead of chest) Cons: Unlocking cookies being harder (2900 gems for 1 copy of a cookie,hell nah) Star candy trail being way too long making it harder to get newer cookies No gamble (bad for gambling addicts) Mileage points being removed (they were cool :< ) Instead of people rushing hatred comments against devs amd community managers, they should read changes fully and share their opinion in a non-toxic way.
ngl i like the epic cookie gacha system but the LEGENDARY gacha system is a problem. Say, you want to lvl up your FS to lvl 10, but the amount of gems you have to pay is 10,400. Tf?????
I came in future and I would say this update is actually pretty good. Well for me at least. I have pros and cons so... The pros in gacha update is, you'll be able to level up other cookies while maxing out your intended cookies, although you only get lesser upgrade materials (?) But you could get rares and commons to maxed, in which also important despite you wouldn't even use them but they're contributing to get more bonus for bear jellies, jellies, etc. That's why even though you copy level 300+ player the score is different, it's because your level is low and your bonus isn't the same. Another pros for gacha is that you can get coins. When you already maxed out a cookie you'll get a coin if you pulled them when you're gacha. Trust me when coin is important because you'll need it especially for treasure enchantment. The rate is shit and you could waste 5 million just to get one enchantment. The cons is, your pull is not guaranteed to be the featured cookie, so you can missed and get the past featured cookie instead and of course it's costly just to maxed out one cookie, heck I never maxed out their pets because I don't have enough gems and there's already a new update. The pros in no gacha update. You could maxed out your cookies and pets way faster, and you still have time left to save for the next cookies (for me). Seriously I maxed out potato cookie with his pet and I still manage to maxed out shine muscat cookie with her pet in the span of three days. with the new update that gives you 300 gems + bonus in the 5th and 10th day I say it's more than enough to at least get one of your cookies maxed. And with this you also spend less gems since the game told you a how many gems you need to level them up and of course you spend even less if you use potion. All I know from level 5 to level 15 of an epic cookies you need around 10k gems, in which you probably think that's a lot, but there's always an event to help you gain some gems. The cons is, no more millage. The millage system is helping some f2p player out, because while we pulling epic cookie we accumulated millage to level up legendary easier. With the gacha system replaced with this, leveling up legendary would be a bit hassle. And I still refused to level up lotus new pet lmao. Well that's my take on this (old) update, I just look at the bright side since complaining would do devsis shit, so I opted to just enjoy. Somehow.
They did this because of the new law in Korea, that's why. Also from this update, it's not that bad and it's much easier to level everything up and my reaction was this 😏
i have mixed opinions about this change, yeah its cheaper to max an epic cookie/pet but it feels like maxxing legendaries takes way longer. Plus during the change, they gave a buttload of crystals which is good but after using it all, you stay broke. The rewards from events are god awful, not enough cube YET ITS A FASHION UPDATE WITH ALOT OF COSTUMES AND NOT ENOUGH CRYSTALS TO BECOME RICH AGAIN (edit: need to rewrite cuz it didnt make sense)
it's the cost for unlocking a legendary. honestly glad i got them all before this update. even that's... expensive. but even then, don't they have welcoming gifts or whatever?
i just got 2 cookie to level 15, something that would have taken me at least 4 months before the update. this update is the greatest thing that happened to the game in a long while
the trial thing may be a bit hard for the f2p players, because if we are doing these trials of random cookies that we don’t even have that much level of, we’re probably going to get a lower rank, making it VERY slow to earn cookies
Cookie Run is made by a Korean company. And about a year ago in Korea, they made a law that restricts the monetization of gacha games. And it seems like they've started to crack down on Devsis. Devsisters, not wanting to manage a lot of that, decided to remove the cookie and pet gacha system. Treasures and costumes are still there, though.

@@Thendless_Void Actually, it's way quicker to upgrade stuff now. To upgrade a single level 11 cookie, you need 30 of their upgrade points. Back then, you needed to shill in about 5,800 gems just for on level. Now it costs 1,350. That's more than 4 times cheaper. In my opinion, it's way too easy to upgrade stuff now. I haven't spent a single cent on this game, but I somehow got Currant Cream Cooke to level 15, with her pet at level 12.
Well at least, now i can upgrade the cookies or pets without the "new cookie potion? ", even with crystals.. Specially if you wanna upgrade level 1 legendary cookies to level max you need like hundred thousand crystals
I've been playing ovenbreak consistently since 2021 and I have to say I think this video kinda suffers due to a lack of knowledge about this game in specific. The system now is you basic use gems as main source of levels now to which I know that might sound insane. But the amount they give in trials hase increased and since the gacha is gone you can actually level up cookies easily than with it because there was an rng factor. If you bought Currant cream cookie instead of Longan dragon cookie then went to her select screen. You probably could have had enough crystals to max her then and there. I was able to max her out with 11k crystals paying the 2900 price for that one copy
Yes you are right, my knowledge of this game is limited. I feel that the gems should be cheaper. Spending 11k gems on one cookie just doesn't sound right.
Also, don't forget this video was an honest blind first impression. I bought Longan and the new cookiento see if the amount of cookies given would change.

I literally discovered this game last week. How to level up cookies faster? Make potions in laboratory? It get duration for it. Not all cookies you get with trial had level up materials with them. So I'm clueless how to farm the potion
How is this better and how is it easier? Before you could get 3 cookies to max free2play now you need what 150,000 gems to get a cookie to 15? Those trials I need 630 stars and 1 Star is 1 trial is there even 630 cookies in game?!

I'm not sure where you get that you HAVE to use gems to level up a Cookie. As long. As you have enough of the Cookie Potions to get to get to the next level, you use coins. It's if you don't have enough (or decide not to use them) is when it charges Gems. Just thought I'd put that out there.
Bro what is devsis doing with their game?? Not only did they get rid of cookie chests and pet chests, but everything is pay to win now. This isn't even a gacha game anymore. I've been playing this game for a long time I absolutely hate this. I rlly wanna drop crob but I have a guild and also I still love my favorite cookies so I'm staying for now. I'm so mad that they changed trials, the way you level up, removed, changed and added things that literally NO ONE asked for, etc. First, friendly run. Me and my sis always used to to do friendly run. They changed it now and IT. SUCKS. I DONT EVEN WANNA LOOK AT IT ANYMORE. Also, they changed main story. you can't use combis there anymore. Just one cookie. I'm not even sure if people who spent gems for extra team slots got their gems back. They changed trials as well and now that sucks. They made it so you have to use gems to level cookies if you don't have spirit potions too. (Now, that's actually not too bad and it makes leveling easier, but I'm still gonna mention it anyway). They also added things like raid run, no one likes that. TLDR: devsis made so many dumb changes that no one asked for and I miss old ovenbreak
as a f2p collector with 200k crystals, i honestly don’t really like this update 😭 there wasn’t even anything wrong with the old gacha system for cookies/pets, if anything, they should’ve updated the costume and treasure gacha (because istg i have to spend so many rainbow cubes just to get one costume i like and bro the treasure gacha 💀)
i have a feeling they are going to do this to kingdom...... they already have a feature to do this with the mileage points but they could also do this with the world exploration but hopefully they don't do this to kingdom

As someone who had a special interest on Cookie Run from Dec 2020 to May 2022 and now having gambling addiction because of it, the new way of getting cookies looks kinda bad so far, sure you can just buy a single cookie to get it but wasn't there a chest for cookies and pets for that gave you five more cookies as well with a 100% of getting the cookie you want by your choice? Also the way you get the materials to get a new cookie is awful, shouldn't they up it to atleast 5 per run???, it shouldn't take a new player god knows how long to diamond/rainbow all trials to get a new cookie or pet. TLDR: the prices are way too high and your rewards to get cookies is way too low

I originally played cookie run kingdom last year of march, however when I first play the game in my second phone everything changes from story to trial, so if you're now new to the game then your first journey is to finish all of the trials to get the new cookie.
Thanks for spreading the news. I have been very loyal and also very generous with them. Been playing for more than 10 years. (Cookie Run Korean version in Kakao way back then before it existed in playstore) Of course I quit pay to play but I don't think I will ever be happy as well as never enjoy the game after the 2023 update. Absolutely horrible, awful, the worst. A DOWNGRADE!
i hate this new update and am praying and hoping that there is hope for them to revert back to the old system.. i didn't think it was that hard to get the cookies you wanted with the old system... and also how am i supposed to update my moonlight cookie?? i miss how much simpler cookie run used to be T_T i also miss cookie run line too.... i feel like with this new system it's abnormally easy to get legendaries and everything you want and i just feel like there's no more feeling of satisfaction with getting the cookie you want. like with the old system it was still pretty easy to get every cookie you wanted so the level of satisfaction was still pretty low, but having it be a bit harder to get with the randomized chests was better because it wasn't as guaranteed as it is now, just a click of a button ahhh i really wish that we could go back.. is there any hope for returning...
It was easy for me to level up Currant Cream with this new system as well as her pet tbh. I was also able to get Pastel Meringue and her pet leveled up too to max.
NAH LIKE THEY USED TO GIVE 3 EPICS FOR 2900, *BOY WHAT DO U MEAN CURRANT CREAM IS 2900* Heres some more stuff sofie probably missed ( i skipped like half the video btw ) • Theres 2 seperate potions ☆ Cookie spirit potions ☆ Pet spirit potions • You need to earn legendary cookie and pet spirit potions to level up legendaries ( i did not know that and i made my fire spirit level 2 :,) ) • the bingo gives you 200 of the potions ( half pet potions and half cookie potion and then 1 for a legendary cookie potion • Theres a temporary exchange shop which allows you to exchange mileage or potions. Chests / eggs ( the paper material one ) are converted into spirit potions ( paper material ) as well. Chests and eggs which have not bssn opened can be xonverted to either spirit potions or the same chest or egg. • 2900 = epic • 1900 = epic pet • 9900 = legendary ( I use the guild and break out shop so yes idrc ) • 6600 = legendary pet The numbers are the crystals you need to spend • you get jellies each 3rd rank of trials on and after bronze. • thats pretty much it. Questions go in the replies. ( i did not collect much info yesterday so yep )
Not only if that but you can't Play cookie trials of cookies you haven't unlocked in this is so unfair to me because the cookie trials before gave me experience of cookies why I haven't unlocked yet but now that takes everything out way and now I have to keep on using my crystals or playing trials of cookies I don't even like to use one cookie to play their trial I really The DE v's Fix this
I have all the cookies and pets already, but… Ehhhhhhh, that- this update does not look good….. It’s also really weird to me, like the gacha has been there for years, and they get rid of it all of a sudden.
To me, each game has a balance between grind and gameplay. This update just shits on the grind to benefit the player. It's _too_ easy to progress now. I mean, _* I ALREADY HAVE HER AND HER PET AT LEVEL 13 ON THE FIRST DAY.*_ I did not spend a single cent on this game, and it gave me an opportunity like that. If this keeps going, more and more people are gonna get bored of the game. After all, the fun of the game is just a part of it, the hardship to get fun is what most people play it for. And what happens when you remove any hardship? That's right, no more fun.
Doesn't bother me that much. The only thing that bothered me is THE TIME PET'S NEW COSTUME- OH MY GOD THE PET COSTUMES ARE UNNECESSARILY EXPENSIVE. I want to die-
Yeah it is easier to upgrade cookies but what's the fun of it? It was fun because I need to grind and gacha to level up cookies. And there's no mileage points it's just no longer fun.
