This Lure Caught So Many Fish!! (Sand Flat Fishing Tips)

I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I spent a lot of my childhood fishing for large Flathead around Mallacoota up to Eden. Love the content mate - brings back fond memories.

Definitely NOT recommended to buy cheap sunglasses because they may not filter out UV rays and so they end up damaging your eyes - your pupils will dilate (expand) to allow more light in, as it's darker, allowing more UV light straight into your eyes. Any sunnies (fishing or fashion etc) you buy should meet the Australian Standard (AS/NZS 1067.1:2016) - obviously for Australia. Cheers

Hey Josh, dunno if it rained where you are as much as it did here in Sydney but WOW u caught a lot

Had a similar issue on the south coast of NSW over the last week away. The top section of the estuary was quite dirty and the fish were not very interested in playing. Went to the lower sections with more results. Tailor and flatties were about and definitely on the chew. Another great video Josh and I must say although somewhat in my senior years now, I have learned so much more about the art of lure fishing from your videos and these lessons definitely helped me with my angling. Josh, I was wondering if you tend to use “scent” on the hard bodies when the fish tend to be following and not hitting the lure too hard? Very impressive tips when you stopped angling and changed the hooks on the lure, there are not too many anglers patient enough to do that (including me…lol). Keep up the great work Josh.
