Trying and testing out new lures is always so much fun (when they work)... Huge credit to Mario Chevez, (@onlyfinss18) we swapped some lures, I think I got the better of that deal Mario l😂.

Thanks man glad you're enjoying! Yeah it's pretty tough over here now, the water on the east coast of Ireland is like chocolate and has been for the majority of the summer 😞 better days ahead hopefully!

Great videos Dave. I’ve never commented on videos before but I really enjoy your content (especially as I’m a struggling Irish bass fisherman) so just wanted to drop you a line to say keep it up 👍🏻. I’ve only ever got them on lures off the kayak but been trying (and trying !) from the shore with no success- only wind knots and weed this “summer” for me on the south east coast . Your vids are good inspiration to keep trying …bound to happen one day …right ?!🤣

@specimendavetv7826 it's a DJI Mavic 2. I've only had it up once. It was a gift from my uncle cos he got a better one so I've no idea how much it was. My idea with it was to fly over marks to see if I could see the sea bed better. Try and find those gullys and other areas the fish might congregate. Another blank this morning so I need something to help 🤣🤣

@specimendavetv7826 try to target pollock and wrasse off the rocks lure fishing, but only ever seem to get wrasse on rag worm. Never had them take a lure yet. Pollock I've only had little ones that smashed a feather unexpectedly while going for mackerel. Only place I've known for bass up here is off a beach with bait. Rag tipped with mackerel seems to be the winner. I've never had a nibble off this beach. But I'm a novice fisherman.

Anywhere shallow (1-4meters) with boulders, rocks, sand is always your best chance for bass if you're fishing with lures. Head out on the days when the wind is blowing onshore and look for the white water. Bass can go heavy on the feed in white water when trying to ambush their prey. Also the channels and mouths of estuaries is a good place to start. Ever need any help, DM my instagram, my page is linked in the bio of my RU-vid Page💪👌

Hi Romano. I'm using a Penn Spinfisher VI 2500. perfect size reel for bass IMO. I'm planning on getting rid of the waders and going for a wetsuit type approach instead, so ill be getting some decent boots soon enough! Thanks for watching ❤

@@specimendavetv7826 thanks for quick response, i use light surf type 3mm wetsuit and waterproof light weight walking sandals by Keen i fitted studs to them it has reduced my knock downs I’m 71 now need to take care and you too cheers.
