Hey, I just want to say thank you for the amazing teaching and coaching you continue to put out! I’ve been watching the channel religiously since I found you guys! I feel like I’m able to take my game to the next level this summer because of you guys so thank you!

Another top video. I’ve neglected my set up for years and that’s why I’ve been inconsistent, now I look at it as king. I had a tendency to sit on my heels which made turning very inconsistent and difficult.. Adam’s stand tall, bend and then flex knees so hips are over ankles., combined the small hip bump to the left, transformed my game. Thank you Adam.

Just finished going through the Master Class series of lessons. 66 years old. started playing at 42. Struggled with inconsistent contact and had to practice a lot in order to master inconsistent ball striking. Adam defines face control, what it means and how to maintain it during the golf swing. I was a 8 hcp until I quit playing 2 years ago due to frustration. 6 weeks ago I discovered Porzak golf on youtube, last week I bought the Master Class . Im back, and hitting it better than I ever have. Its going to be a great new journey learning how to hit the ball properly. Cant wait to go out and actually play golf again. Thanks Adam.

I'm a mid 50s golfer who has a body building background and I've been playing 2 yrs. Currently a 14 hc My swing thought. It sounds almost like a drink order. " Porzak with a full turn" It reminds me to hip bump, give blood and turn fully without having a head full of stuff to remember. Cheers mate. Love your teaching style

I would love to see a continuation of short game tips & strats, similar to the series with Ian. Specifically from “Short game lesson - SIMPLE TIPS” around the 3 min mark (ball is just short of the green with a back pin. I commented on those vids as well. Talking about when presented with a seemingly straight forward longer chip/pitch shot but there’s SO many diff shots available (vs when your short-sided and there’s virtually only one shot to play). Ian eluded to this in the videos as something he was struggling with too, but it was never covered. Thanks!

Hey Adam I bought the masterclass last week and have been at the range and played a round and let me tell you I’ve been striking the ball much better going through the set up and checkpoints. Feels more consistent and confident that I have your process - even on the bad shots. Would like to see a short game series. I’m a believer!

AP ~ Great stuff, truly enjoy your terrific videos. One of your students mentioned how he learned to hit his wedges various distances using the body location in relation to his hands to during takeaway. I like this version rather than the "clock" method...hip, belly button, chest, shoulders etc...do you recommend carrying a chart "cheat sheet" or simply memorize these distances for each wedge? I carry four wedges and would like to dial in each one this spring for four different distances and trajectory desired, giving me 16 shots or more if going up to my head which isn't recommended with these clubs (adding any additional insight on that). A video showing how two wedges could be used for a certain distance, say for example target 110 yards using a 50 degree to the hip or a 54 to the shoulders would be interesting to learn from and the thoughts behind selecting one over the other. Thanks! ct

One of many fantastic videos! So if you have a slice the reverse would be true? If you have a slice, move the ball slightly back or narrow the stance a little bit?

@@PorzakGolf completely agree. Sometimes I flick between draw and cut on alternate shots to trigger the athleticism and break engrained muscle memory if it’s flawed. Then rebuild and start again..

Hi Adam. This question only relevant because pupil hitting driver. Maybe again this is an age thing, but I notice Rory, Tiger, etc. no longer seem to tilt on address, nor does this good swinging young man. I watch a lot of both European and U.S.A. golf, and have never heard a commentator speak of this (to my mind) new address position. I being well on in years still have the old lower right shoulder to assist in upward strike. This new method may have been going on for a good period of time, as most t.v. footage filmed from behind and very little face on. I still use stiff shafts though could go either way now, so this tells my driver swing speed. Should I with this swing speed stay with old method, or be setting up to me what would be a new address. Thanking you in anticipation. (Gordon Scotland)
@andrewyou5484
@andrewyou5484 Год назад
i dont know what you are seeing but Tiger, Rory and this young man all have shoulder tilt, its very hard to hit up on the ball without the tilt, check out some older driver set up videos from porzak golf, proper tilt should make your trail hand sit just outside of your trail leg knee

With a pull hook, how about swinging more around himself and making a better hip backturn? It seems like he is dropping his head down and back just a touch.

When a student is consistently hitting a ropey draw like that one after another. All fundamentals good, path is good, but face is persistently too closed to path, when do you consider tweaking the club (moveable weight / lead tape) or adjusting their grip a hair etc ???
@davidkramer194
@davidkramer194 Год назад
This is a great question. Instead of manipulating my swing, I will typically close or open the face a smidge at setup if it's persistent during a tournament. Trying to fix your swing during a tourney I've found is never a good idea. If it's consistent then I make minor adjustments. If for some reason I'm having a tough time hitting a tight draw or fade then I will just play the one that is coming naturally that day.
@PorzakGolf
@PorzakGolf Год назад
Great question…We will not adjust the golf club to cater to the flaw. Maybe if it were tournament day and he’s about to tee off, but not for a young player that needs to continue to improve his club face awareness through impact. The club face is closing as a result of releasing the club too much due to his path being underneath at the beginning of the lesson. His miss with the driver was slinging hooks, so this is already massive progress for one session. Since the session, Ryan is now able to hit a high cut, so mission accomplished without adjusting a club to cater to the flaw.

First thing I noticed when this video started was how pigeon toed he looked. Wouldn't that restrict his rotation through impact enough that his arms and hands would overtake his body and cause more of a pull hook?

If you listen to him often this is just his phrase. My dad calls everyone Doctor. Now his c'mon do better sounded condescending, but as someone with children, I know that Elmo from sesame street nice doesn't encourage anyone to push themselves. His job isn't to be a therapist, it's to DELIVER RESULTS in their golf swing. I think he does that very well based on some of the people he's training.
