The voice controls are great for follow mode as you can say closer, further, higher, lower etc, without touching your phone. Perfect for when riding a bike for example 👌
Experienced drone pilot at work - tv news photographer. Love my privat Neo with the remote and iphone. Fun way to practice . Think we are going to buy some Neo’s at work because of the in-built features for social media. Could dream about the Goggles 🥰
It is a very versatile drone, I'll give it that. And also very affordable. It will sell like hot cakes, it it ever gets released in the US. Thanks for sharing.
neo is very good , and im happy that they give you so many features i hope they keep up the good work! The DJI fpv is truly the best. let me explain. first it has a class 6 wind resistance , the only one in there lineup that can handle wind speeds over 35mph. it is the only 6s drone so it is very powerful. like the neo it has many flight modes and ways to control. the light show, it has led light strip stock that make it the coolest drone they make and look awesome in low light. it has a auxiliary light that you can use at night for search . we found my friend keys in a pitch black football field. over 90 mph what drone is faster? and a 18 min flight time ! what drone make you feel like superman?
Given the rate how quick they release the drone, I think i will wait for the Neo2, hopefully better camera and flight time. Thanks Billy, Great video as always!
Shame that DJI is gonna be banned! The US want to ban DJI drones due to political issues. If that is gonna happen...... more countries follow. So i will go for the hoverair X 1pro max. Yes...more expensive but legal.
Thanks Billy! This is my very first look at the Neo! I have several DJI drones beginning with my Mavic Pro. I have an orphaned controller (from a recently lost Air 2S), so this looks like a no-brainer.
I have the RC - N3 and I’m able to adjust all the camera settings within the fly app. My footage looks so much better now that I’m able to adjust great little drone having so much fun with it as a content creator.
Thier isn't hardly any setting to adjust and the one they say to adjust is sharpness and It still looks garbage disappointed with this drone also not caring about how cheap it is because the footage is cheap anyway also don't use over water unless you are using a dedicated controller 😉
I bought the rc motion2 and goggle Integra for use with the mini 3 and 4 pro. I also a an extra rc1 so hopefully they make this thing controllabl5with everything eventually. I'd love to have one si my girl can come fly with me and get some action shots while I get cinematic style footage
I went with the Promax combo pack soon as released for a pre-order, The features an quality and the whole nine yard of ProMax would swallow and spit out this little strip down 4k drone like a tornado came through, yeah is more money but if these features and quality was on that Neo , i would bet money on it, would be over $1,000 EASY, for what we getting with the Promax is a bargain Even with combo pack 🤘✌️🙏🤟❤️🌟✨
@@hajjihaydarhussin Besides, I'd you actually do the math, buying the "US combo" plus the controller costs the same. It's not as if you can't buy the controller... yeesh.
I'm very tempted but I'll wait for the inevitable NEO 2 that will probably have obstacle avoidance. This version is awesome and pretty cheap but it's obvious they held back on avoidance tech for future profit.
Never flew a drone in my life. I paint murals and wanna use it to film some clips when working. I ordered the Neo and the RC-N3 controller today. Hoping this will work some magic for me. Also, worried how hard it is to use the Controller.
Would you recommend the Neo or the Mini 4 as a first drone? By the time I order a remote controller, it ends up being the same price as the Mini 4 with remote package that's out there.
I started with the Mini 2 SE. I will buy a Mini 4k if I ever wreck my 2 SE because the Mini 2, Mini 2 SE and Mini 4k all use the same battery. I have 6 batteries.
This is a GATEWAY DRONE folks. Sit your little ones down and explain the draw, the away from it's influence. For me, it saves my new Avata 2 from the unavoidable beating it would get as I I learn Manual/Acro FPV. 135 Grams is such low mass that Neo survives where other's do not. DC Rainmaker does a LOT of tracking on a Road Bike, and DOZENS of crashes have not put the KO on NE-O. Care Refresh at a whopping $22 a year is less than the lunch tab.
Limited backwards compatibility with controllers and goggles. They could double sales if they make it compatible with version 2 controllers and goggles.
@@billykyle True, but I wouldn't say one generation back is too much to ask considering the money invested. That being said, I do have one on preorder, and picked up an RCN3 to go with it. The fact that I can put the drone, 3 batteries the charger, controller and a cell phone in a bag I can hold in my hand...I'm sold.
This drone is likely to attract a lot of new people to drones. You should mention that even though registration is not required, a TRUST certificate still is.
Bom dia, tenho o Avata 1 e o DJI FPV, tenho interesse em comprar o Neo mas não é compatível com os goggles 2, será que a Dji não vai fazer uma atualização para que seja compatível?
I believe if you are an experienced drone pilot and know the rules and regulations you should not have to get a part 107 license to fly for profit. It's like buying a lawn mower and the store ask you if you are going to mow your own grass or mow for a living.
I know they could somehow integrate the 03 system or at least the lens to work with the Neo so we can have better usable footage. I guarantee they’re saving it for Neo2
Unfortunately, by the time Neo2 comes out with the better camera the band will probably be in full effect and we won’t have the opportunity to get one!
@prayashshrestha Well, that is not true at all. Avata has Motion 3 and Google's 3 in that $999 pack. It's still the best for the money. In comparison to Neo, it's $400 for Avata alone and $200 for Neo alone. But yeah, the camera difference is fair, I suppose!
@@Mexrsri1 oh yeah sorry I looked at the standalone Avata 1 and the launch price was still $799 so almost 3 times the price. But the difference is the neo works straight out of the box for that price, the Avata doesn't. Not sure why people expect the mini 4 pro quality from this drone. It's a fun drone probably better than the first mavic mini which still sells for around AU$200 in used market.
It's not even on the level of the first mavic mini maybe a neo 2 is on the horizon but yer save ypur money this neo is crap I returned it after 3 flights also I tried it in fpv also with Google's and controller and yer unimpressed
@@billykyle the controller you are using have hdmi output feature too, similar to DJI RC PRO? I want to see camera vision on my screen while controlling it.
I’m waiting patiently for Dji to have a firmware update for improving the video quality. Otherwise I won’t buy it because video is very important to me.
FYI when youre using the RC-N3 theres an option to adjust the colorgrade like sharpness. Also just to remind you, its not a professional drone, its a vlogger drone. So its good enough for daily or travel vlogging. Considering its 4k, its good enough for the price range!
What is the max distance away that you can get using your phone as the controller? Is there a water resistance rating for the drone? I live in Oregon and may fly in some light rain.
Hi Billy, another insight into the technology within this tiny drone. I just have one question I am not sure if it has been asked! Is the Neo waterproof? Regards Nigel G - U.K.
Def considering and luv I can use my Mini2 controller Is it true u can’t fly over water or off a cliff though as bottom sensors get thrown off unless connected to gps?
No this drone is Ocusync 4 and uses the RC2, While the Mini Pro 3 has the RC controller. These are the compatibles remotes DJI RC 2, DJI RC-N3 Remote Controller, DJI RC-N2 Remote Controller, DJI RC Motion 3, and DJI FPV Remote Controller 3.
No, only the newer RC2 with screen included with the Air 3 & Mini 4 Pro. The RC2 is an O4 remote like the Neo. The RC included with the Mini 3 Pro is an O3 remote.
@@mattalford3932 Ofc, i dont think i will get quality like prime drones, but i work in Resolve very well with bad video quality videos and turning them into much better than original. That's why i need to see what can i do.
It's absolutely crap just don't see the footage because you'll be disappointed but it has a purpose and I think it's just a basher drone for fpv practice
the app only does portrait if you use the phone only to fly. if you get the fly more combo with the controller it will rotate. i have a fold 5 and 3d printed a tablet adapter and it works perfect
After watching at least 20 videos of this drone I lost interest in it. Why?… for now it seems to have too many bugs and other issues that don’t add up to being worth $200. This drone should be selling at $100 and no more than $150. I would think obstacle, avoidance would have been very important with a drone this size and weight. Sure it can survive crashes but what a pain always having to keep looking back to see where it is or go find it laying on the ground or tree. DJI makes the best drones in my opinion for the majority of us so I have faith through software updates and the addition of obstacle, avoidance on the next model will be worth the wait.
