Imagine being a warrior petrified and thrown into the deep ocean for good, then one day, the curse gets lifted and you find yourself deep down the ocean. The panic must be mind-boggling.
I dont know man. It sounds like you speak for yourself. Being a strong immortal warrior with the need to curse in the ocean is kinda telling you he will not react like we do. Just saying😆
It is not actually a disney movie. It is a russian movie that has distribution outside of russia by disney. It would be like calling 'Howls Moving Castle' a disney movie because they distributed it.
Yea, it's hard to think of this as a Disney movie as it has no trans or gay characters and the white male lead actually shows development of positive traits.
They was slavic folk version of modern trope of superheroes or paladins, evil "warrior" (pretty loose translation, but whatever) is extremely rare thing. Well, with medieval concept of "good guys" in original medieval sagas ofc.
"Wouldn't think it'd be disney with a cowardly & scammer prince", um, Tangled? And older disney live action wasn't afraid of variety either tbh, tho they don't really make movies like those anymore. Bed Knobs & Broomsticks being a big example of more varied classic era.
Nice movie. There are a lots of old Soviet movies that in some way use old fairy tails as its core. This is another one but modernized. There is a lots of gems like this one around world especially Russians, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Indian,....
@@shubhamdhanta1434 I can't remember names of those movies. I remember watching them. I lived in Yugoslavia that had access both to Soviet and West movies. For new movies You have something like "Jeon Woochi" - Korean and similar. Indian movies are little specific but lets say as starting point "Three idiots". Each country have its own specific approach and their cultural signature is visible in those movies. Unfortunately I can't remember names of many movies I watched but I often check if I can find something new since they add nice change to Hollywood type of production.
@@btesic Three idiots is not historical fantasy. Baahubali is great Indian historical fantasy. Tho it doesn't have magic. Some Human are like superhuman.
@@-rate6326 I didn't say its fantasy but it is nice move that is worth watching as example that each region have some interesting movies tied to their culture. I gave Korean fantasy movie name which I remembered. As I said I forgot names of many movies I watched. There are lots of new Chinese movies especially regarding "Monkey King".
@@grayden4138 true. I guess I was thinking back to the old movies and TV shows I grew up with. Many were reruns from the 50s and 60s, a lot of them Westerns. They always resolves the problems. In the old movies, quite often the monster would be destroyed.
@@JSustain think of it as the monster being destroyed at the end of the episode, then the next monster comes and the cycle repeats. It's the same formula.
Every single story that was ever written begins with the young initiate through the course of his training he will run into an old guy he is now a adept his journey will take many battles to achieve mastery all stories begin with the young initiate
let me give you a tip. in the cave he played a song to the giant female but not just any song lol the singer's name is Mikhajlov, hes a legend in russia. number one singer of mid aged women. its a russian thing and only a russian gets that moment in the movie. mikhajlov was guaranteed to melt a russian giant females heart lol
I thought for certain after hearing Disney was involved and seeing all the animal morphing and especially the wizard turning into a fish and the animation about the magic sword, that this was some kind of a loose adaptation of the sword in the stone
So all the warriors that were at the bottom of the ocean when they turned back to normal they drowned immediately correct from the weight of their armor and weapons.
They sort of superhumans in lore, all much stronger and tougher than normal humans, besides area they were thrown to ain't deep enough to crush them with pressure
@@konstantin3374 I'm not worried about them crushing from pressure I stated clearly what my concern was the weight of their armor and the weight of their weapons hell even some of the soldiers that were at the beaches of Normandy drowned for the exact same reasons when they were forced to get out of the boats early
@@nagashtheforsaken tell that to the guys that stormed the beaches of Normand of those who had to jump out of the boat early some of them drowned because of all their weight from their weapons and gear now I would imagine that ancient armor and weapons that were made out of solid metal and leather it's going to be a lot heavier than the weapons and armor made in the 1940s
Any movie geeks to help me out? Why American movies are smooth and have some sort of cinematic blur/color correction while everyone else seems to make movies on a documentary color grade and "tape"?
Is it odd the only reason I know about Ilya Muromets is from the MST3K episode/movie "The Sword and the Dragon" ? I also know Baba Yaga from the episode "Jack Frost" (Although the english dub just called her the Hunchbacked Fairy.)
You know what, immortal means he has lots of blood energy ,well, the long blood bar with quick recovery. At that time, mage player can EZ use him as blood energy bank, suck, suck, suck like pagna in DOTA2. Devour his vitality and make use of them for yourself. What's with killing him. That's a treasure.
