40ft Container home fully suited n booted is about the same price as an apartmentment after insulation, reinforcement, electrics, water, gas, floorboards, lighting and u want it truck towable with suitable trailer, you are looking at 80 to 100 grand We can't just go round "buying houses" for people, homeless or not, even a rich person would be broke within minutes. This is not about 'enabling', it is about not purposefully 'disabling'. Normal park benches can be laid down on. These devices actually *disable* that feature. The government is spending money to prevent homeless people from lying down there. Don't turn this around.

maybe, but the least you can do is not deliberately making their life harder than it already is. no one expects you to sell your house but what kind of sociopath sees a man freezing in the street and thinks "let me drench him with water, that'll teach him not to freeze in front of my business" (anti-homeless sprinklers are very much a thing)? It's not a 'bad design'. These elements are there with a specific purpose. To prevent poor/homeless people from laying down there. It is called 'hostile design'. Now there are those who are on drugs, mentally ill ( they can't force them to take meds or give them long-term institution if they are no threat to themselves or others) or some are just lazy bums. But don't lump everyone together because people are trying to get back on their feet but may need a little assistance which believe it or not the people who need it have a hard time asking for charity. But if they are sick or have children they must swallow their pride and ask for help. Just be mindful that every homeless person's story is different. Mine is. Everything happens for a reason. @Dhruva Punde most of the time it's their choose or a bad choice they made in life that put them where they are now...there is plenty of shelters and programs...people here screaming for workers..paying 20 bucks an hour to do stuff thats usually minamum wage..I m sure there's like 10 percent who ended on street to no fault of their own..but there's always hope ..lots of government programs as well.
