@@alexandrascott5293 that's true in India, many Indian citizens came from UK, US, Europe etc. Some of them were tested positive and got them into hospitals and like in India, there was this woman and her husband, they had a history of coming back from Europe and they send them to isolation rooms while the tests results were yet to come out, the woman left her husband there and ran away, she got into a train and Indian trains are usually very crowded. She went to her parents house, but was eventually caught. Another case, there was this female singer and she knew she tested positive yet she threw a party smh. People in India are taking this shit VERY lightly like we are quarantined yet people still go out of their houses and when they do get the virus, they just run away from the isolation centres.

If you close borders, you slow down the economy, and in the civilization nowadays, you can't exist as a country if you don't have commercial relationships with other countries. So YES, they had to let the borders open (from their point of view). Plus, tourism is 13% of the Italian economy, so you can't just tell the tourists to go away. But now the situation is so bad the government decided to totally close borders and take drastic measures, but I think you are right to say that they should have closed borders earlier. The problem with the virus is afterwards: won't people go to populism? I mean when the plague will be over, extremists will say something like: "if we close borders with everyone, this will never happen again" or "if we had had a non-immigration policy, this would have never happened".

Both animals you can find & consume on these "wet markets" of china, sometimes alive under really unhygienic conditions. Excrements of bats is even popular in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
