Thanks for noticing this device, great demo!! Really cool to see how you use it in your workflow. A tip for avoiding the “clicks” is to enable “Clip Fade-in/Fade-out” on the source clips when you have added them to the Session view. (Select all your clips and toggle the “Fade” button to on in the clip settings.) // Mark developer

I’m actually beginning to love Ableton fr - its so customizable with these Max devices so crazy. This one here is like CamelSpace for creating loops.

Yeah, it works for MIDI, but been struggling to use it with chords as it always randomizes the starting point resulting in clips not being audible. Maybe there might be a workaround.

I dont know if u figured it out by now or not...but if you select all clips before u start loop flipping and put them on fade mode, the fades will be automatically put in....6 months late but hey...

I see I am not the only one with this bug - tempo changing to 20 every time i click on it! Very annoying. However, I've noticed it does happen only in fullscreen mode.

We musicians are just machine operators. In the near future, AI will replace all professional musicians. Perhaps there will be human musicians who will find their way back to their roots.

Nah - we will be fine. All these tools are just another version of say a piano or a guitar. It is the human operating, generating and then curating the output that makes it music that others will appreciate and recognise for its creative whole.

@DiscoTuna Yes, but It’s not just a parallel version of a preexisting physical instrument. the tools are also progressive degrees of separation between the creator and the creation, which is accelerating. I enjoy using these devices for music sake, but I’m not fooling myself that there isn’t a huge difference between generative music and direct musicianship. Ultimately the more we embrace automation, the easier it will be for automatons to emulate us as we will be more similar to them and the line will be too blurred to matter. At the end of the day it will only matter to those who make music, because we enjoy music for itself more than who made it. For example, using any devices at all.
