Once upon a time I came across Futrick on TV. After watching a couple of his sermons, I decided to send a love offering for a DVD set. I can't remember exactly, but two or three months went by before it finally showed up in the mail. During that elapsed time I received multiple mailers from him soliciting me for more money. I figured it was more important for me to send him more money than to view his teachings, so I ceased donating and never opened my DVD set which eventually went in the trash.
I suspect he was setting up to derail the emphasis from what Christ did and who Christ is and shift the focus on the boldness of the two men. He is probably about to claim "they were healed because they were bold, we too can be bold and wonderful amazing things will happen to us. we will never be sick, never be poor..." However, they were healed because Jesus is the messiah and it was prophesied in the OT that the messiah would restore sight to the blind. It had nothing to do with any boldness they may have shown.
Because he is a false teacher, or a wolf in sheep’s clothing or a tare among the wheat. Take your pick, they’re all the same. His method to take emphasis of Jesus and to put it on man.
Because as a heading, the tense is technically wrong. Jesus used the present imperfect tense to generalize what he was still doing; healing the blind. The heading uses the present tense while referring to two specific men who were healed 2000 years ago. The better heading would be "Two men healed from blindness." It really isn't a big deal but Furtick is not wrong in this instance.
The bible says.do not add or take away anything away from the bible if you do your name will be taken out of the book of life.. you will lose your soul...
Furtick is that special kind of dumb that goes to find a restroom, and when arriving at the door labeled "MEN" says "I refuse to define them by what they are!" and in his subsequent confusion, stands in the hall and pisses in his pants.

I don't think Furtick is blind, because he had some of the best false teachers show him how to be a scammer and deceive people to get rich by twisting the Word of God. He and the rest of the false teachers will have their judgement day when they stand before the Lord God Almighty. I just pray the people who are blinded by false teachers will receive their sight and God will lead them to a true Biblical teaching church.

Furtick had me for a second when I was searching. Once he went prosperity gospel I was out. Since then I shake my head more and more each time I see the things he does. His congregation seems to worship him more than God.
A few months ago, Steven Furtick was preaching a short distance from my hometown, and some people I know said they were going to hear him. I sent them an earlier video that you had done on Furtick. To sum up their response: "We'll chew on the meat while spitting out the bones." I was saddened but not surprised. Brother Justin, thank you for having the integrity to call out the heretics and thank you for putting in the work to accurately teach the Scriptures to us.
You might like "Enemies within the church" their podcast series called "How the Woke Manipulate" I believe they did an episode called "Benefit of a doubt" and "Throwing the Baby Out with the Bath Water" - Wokepedia should still be their tag name for those episodes. My favorite question to ask "What if the baby in the bath water is a demon?" Or in your case "What if the meat you're eating is rotten/demonic?"

By the way...my guess is those people who were saying, "come on" are members of his staff (sycophants) who sit in the front row. They are most likely encouraged (ordered) to do this. I've seen this sort of stuff happen at Metro Church and Elevation Church in Australia.
I have heard online of a person mentioned use to serve at Elevation and would have people who basically serve as like hype people to help hype up the Pastor and the people I believe.
@@keithpace9870 I attended Metro Church, Gold Coast Australia back in 2012 and then Elevation Church a little later on, had the front row for Church staff and the like. I'd often see and hear over the top clapping, along with hooting and whooping at seemingly banal comments made by the speaker (I hesitate to say preacher) I have no proof, but I highly suspect these were cheerleaders of sorts planted to get the crowd going. Sort of like the "clap now" signs that were used for television show filming back in the day.

I remembered casually joining this sermon because of YT algorithm and I, being a member from a small conservative church in Argentina, was astonished to say the least not only by the bizarre teaching, but also by all the yelling that’s was going on there. Furtick's minister and its congregation in general have always shocked me haha but I thought that I was overexaggerating or being a little bit Pharisee. Now that I have watched your videos, I understand that I was being warned by the Holy Ghost to flee from him and from its music. Your work has blessed brothers and sisters all over the world!
There is one thing to call out false teaching or discrepancies.. But mocking and belittling is another. So all the self righteous Christians on here taking a superior dig just remember Matthew 5:22-24.

If people are teaching false truths, it's not judging, and it is necessary as they need to see the errors of their ways, repent and turn back to The One True God. We cannot judge their motives, but l, as a Christian or those who call them selves Christians, we can and should judge their fruit. And his fruit is rotten.

I didn't even know who he was until I saw other pastors saying he was a false pastor. I know one thing is for sure... The people who teach others are going to be held more responsible when they have to face God at the end...I pray that these teachers understand that judgement is going to happen for all. Im not sure if we should mock false teachers. Its one thing to point it out and call it out, but another thing to openly mock someone.Justin does a ton of mocking these lost people.

I appreciate videos like this - I was riding to work every morning listening to his sermons - not to say this is the reason but I noticed my days seemed to get worse and worse
I know some people who listen to Furtick "religiously". When I tried to speak to them to show them how Furtick twists the Word of God. They became offended and accused me for being "narrow minded". They think everything Furtick says is 100% in agreement with God's Word. I am baffled how they can't see the truth of God's Word is not being taught by Furtick. Is it possible that people who believe in what Furtick says are not truly "saved/delivered from sins"?? If a person has been delivered from lies to truth, from light to darkness, from sin to God's forgiveness, how couldn't he/she distinguish falsehood from truth?
In my experience, I was listening to Furtick regularly when the Lord was beginning to draw me to salvation. Praise God I had started attending a solid reformed church that truly fed me God's word. So while I was wanting to hear "biblical teaching" and did feel good about listening to Furtick, once I was truly saved I pretty much immediately knew that what he was preaching was not at all feeding me spiritually or glorifying God. I give the Lord the credit for that realization. Compared to my pastor at the church, there was just no reverence or seriousness or humility to what Furtick was teaching. So, in my experience at least, it was incredibly clear that his teaching was false once I was saved. But I was certainly deceived leading up to my salvation.
It says in the word that men will want their ears tickled Steve t speaks of what makes them feel good. It's sad that so many people do not take time to read and study which makes them blind to the truth ....😮
I don't understand it either, as I have a friend and know people who are deceived, yet, are truly born again. Somehow their blinders are yet to be removed. I just pray and have been praying for my friend to see for over 10 yrs - hopefully, there will be a breakthrough.
They are either not saved or babes in Christ lacking discerning of the spirit. "Brothers and sisters, I couldn't talk to you as spiritual people but as people still influenced by your corrupt nature. You were infants in your faith in Christ." (1 Cor 3:1)
When they want to act like a rock star, run away. I saw this same act coming out of several ministers. They want the cheers from the audience. I just want Jesus, not a show.
Another crucial point here is that by switching the idea from “blind men” to “bold men,” he changes the emphasis of the passage from the grace-based miracle that Jesus did for them to the quality or merit they had to exhibit to earn what Jesus did. That switcheroo is maybe the core tenet of prosperity ideology, but it warrants calling out again and again.
YES! It's all about what "we" do! The "name it and claim it" teaching, and taking away the credit that should be given to Christ and instead, giving to us. So subtle...
Thank you, I ended up watching last week's & today's. I wanted to see the judgement & ended up being blessed. A little different yes, but still moving the hearts & minds of people toward Jesus.

This channel is the one you need to be rebuking. Be very careful whom you trust , notice how they judge others. Name calling and making judgements about people you don't know is wrong. Don't just trust this channel do your own research (God is watching your words and actions). If you just don't get or understand another Pastors style of teaching you don't have to listen. Steven Furtick and Elevation Church bring many people to Jesus and help many charities here and around the world. This channel encourages hatred and mean spirited comments....not biblical! I thought Pastor Steven made a really novel point ! God given insight!!! Not sure how you could take it any other way. Oh by the way if only perfect men can preach there would not be any preachers.
How is this preaching God given insight? He took an irrelevant heading to do what? Why didn't he take that time to teach about how the blind (spiritually) received their sight (being born again). There is absolutely not necessary to give credence to something that was not even God inspired. A heading that was not part of the original manuscripts? He's leading people astray and if there were unbelievers in the congregation, is sending them to hell because of not teaching on The Saving Grace of Jesus Christ. Steven was giving credit to himself instead of God. The message should not have been about the heading but The Word!! What exactly was taught and what did anyone take away from this?
We must pray for one another . May we all humble ourselves and turn from our sinful ways so He will heal our land. So we will hear well done good and faithful servant. May He be glorified in all we say and do
