Cassette players all had a direct aux input if you were good with soldering. I used to download mp3s and have a headphone jack. Now I Bluetooth and stream from RU-vid and it sounds like garbage but is convenient.
Keeping your phone plugged in degrades the battery and adding the stuff it's doing for caraway heats your phone up alot. Wireless helps avoid these problems
@@Benny-hr3qd That's not entirely true. Phones are really smart nowadays, so they can regulate how much charge they get while plugged in. As for the heat? That's a straight up lie.
Unless you also have a wireless charging pad in your car, this will drain your phone. I like plugging in my phone, it stays hidden and it’s always 100% after a drive.
Wireless will have some lag so still keep that wire handy, but for around the town use it's awesome still. An easy thing for those of us not used to modern tech
Reminds me of my old phone that can transmit a low range FM radio, so I play the song over my phone's FM transmitter and the car just tuned in to my phone frequency 😂
I’ve used other brands and it was nothing but latency and timing out. It made the device unusable. Not sure if this one is any better, but I’d make sure before buying it.
Cassette with wire connect to ipod , that's what I did on my 2002 nissian pathfinder. I loved my collection of tapes but always wanted new song so had to download into ipod. And then play in car. This is the new version of that.
Thank you, i needed this for my Camry as you’re in a Lexus. I could see It working good enough for when i still want CarPlay, but don’t need the gps pin point accuracy.
Great idea. I just wish all models and trims had wireless car play as a standard. Seems Foolish to buy a new car and still have to actually plug your phone in to use CarPlay, when CarPlay is wireless in the higher trim levels.
What!!! I need this for my Jeep cause lately I’ve been having issues with this damn iPhone 14 and the lighting cables…I regret getting rid of my iPhone 11, the 14 is non stop problems from the Esim BS and Iwatch problems and now chargers. I’m so over it.
My only gripe is you can’t connect a dash cam and use Auto Sky at the same time, at least that has been my experience. I love my Auto Sky dongle otherwise.
fun fact: The Thrill was released back in like 2009 or 2010 on what I could have SWORN was Kush & OJ, except when I go to the track listing it says The Thrill was released in 2020.... And yes I'm one of those people that hates that it's popular now and always reminds people I heard it first lmaoo
There are two solid wireless versions of this for Android Auto that have been out for over 1.5 years. Android Auto left the chat because it was closed a year ago by the moderator..lol
