Episode #45 of the UNO MAS levels showcase series!!!
For those that don't know what an UNO MAS level is, essentially it's a short level made to showcase something neat, unique, silly or glitchy in Mario Maker 2. Typically, once figured out, these levels will take under 30 seconds to beat...but those 30 seconds are usually filled with eye opening moments. Let's dive into these levels!

How the second level works: There are 100 coin blocks on a rail that all get dropped into this spot just below the level during the first few seconds. So Mario is basically groundpounding all of them at the same time and thus reach 999 really fast.

The Rocky Wrench glitch might be due to the fact that RW might not be able to bury on semisolid platforms without a backdrop. When he tries to, he falls through the platform and falls to his death.

16:22 The bombs only grab the coins when you activate them, so when you activated the bombs with Yoshi, the bombs have different properties than when they get hit by the lava bubbles.

They are still standing when activated by the lava bubbles. When you activate them they lose their legs

yeah it's a difference of whether you trigger the bombs yourself. To expand on that, the second coin isn't obtained if you blow up the block by throwing the bomb upwards. It's just a matter of different states and weird programming

With the P switches, there's actually 3 frames to them. When they aren't hit, when they are hit and halfway down, and when they are fully down but their base is still there. I believe it's because of that third frame that you are able to have a flat piece of ground long enough for pipe entry AT the ground level of the pipe.

The last one in the illusion level was that there was a brown hardblock in the underground, when they usually are blue. That's the flagpole hardblock At least I think it is that

For the bomb one, a bomb or object will only collect the coin if the player influenced it (this includes yoshi fire). The bomb was able to collect the coin through the one-way because it exploded against the one-way, a pixel closer to the coin the on the ground. Therefore, the bomb explosion barely touched the coin. 10:49 Rocky wrenches normally only function on fully solid ground cuz of their hiding under the ground. So when they try to do this,they just fall through the semi solid objects

On the "under the stairs" level, one of the glitches is the falling bridge at the end. It glitches out after you hit the axe.

It doesn't glitch out. It just goes behind the semisolid platform.

I believe the wrocky wrench level comes from the fact that the bridge doesn't have a solid place to hide causing them to fall.

6:00 It’s elb manipulation. One ways are globally loaded, so if you place 99 (I think) one ways and you load only one entity, no other entity’s are allowed to appear on screen until one leaves the game

The damage after the goal one is actually really weird! SMB1: As link, you take damage As regular Mario and star Mario, you get trapped in the blaster As fire Mario, super Mario, and smb2 Mario, you get pushed by the block As Big Mario (with the big mushroom) you get carried, but don’t take damage and destroy the block from above SMB3: As raccoon Mario and frog Mario, you get pushed out of the way SMBW: As cape Mario you get pushed out of the way As balloon Mario, you don’t get pushed and instead get trapped in the first blaster NSMBU: As propeller Mario and acorn Mario you get pushed out of the way I tried my best to recreate it in SM3DW, even without tracks so here’s my findings: As cat Mario, he tries to climb up but fails And finally, in the boomerang suit, you just get trapped in the blaster

I think the coin tutorial has to do with Mario essentially executing the action. If you just set the bomb there, it will explode after a bit. It you toss it and it explodes, you’ll get the coin because Mario just interacted with it.

With the rocky wrench level, the moles are coded to burrow in the ground when landed, but these come out of a pipe and land on the bridge, and because the bridge isn't really solid, they fall right through!

The rocky wrench one is simple. It’s a feature in the game due to the fact that the rocky burrows underground but since the semisolid doesn’t have full ground beneath it they jump down to try and find ground

The rocky wrenches need a real surface to hide in, but they don't count bridges as land. Therefore, they fall, hoping to find a surface.

About that rocky wrench level, it isn’t really a uno mas. It’s just that moles can’t throw wrenches on semisolids, bridges, clouds, donut platforms, or some other item that only has collision from above. It’s probably like that because they couldn’t decide what would happen if you touch them from below when they’re in a manhole

The bad guys that jumped through the floor usually sit in the ground. With a semi-solid platform, they try to get into the ground and have nowhere to go.

I think the rocky wrench dies level is because the rocky wrench is trying to hide in the ground, but it goes through like a hammer bro because it's a semisolid so it has no landing point

4:10 You can't have two chocolate blocks of different colors in the same level theme. One of them is the chocolate block of the flagpole, the other one is from the level theme. The flagpole block is always brown, even in the underground and in the ghost house, while chocolate blocks usually prefer to follow the color related to the level theme.

In the airship level, I believe that the game is coded to not let rocky wrenches 'burrow' on bridges. Think about it, a rocky wrench half above and half below the bridge would look strange...

how do you find all these levels? I can spend a long time browsing the various listings and I never find troll levels (or at least, competently made ones), rarely find #DGR levels, and never find UNO MAS levels. I've leverally never rnadomly encountered an uno mas or #DGR but somehow Dave runs into one in like every video and can regularly compile a dozen or more uno mas. I dont understand how this happens
