It's about the parasocial relationship fans share with their favorite groups, to the world it's nothing but for them it's everything, from giving hope, strength, courage(since it's made for the fans as told by MHJ) . As it shows in the end she goes out with the boy and remember nj as a fond memory, like in the mv what the girl needed at that point was an escape and nj became one. But when she plays the vcr again after a long time, the girls come back. In a way nj will be there whenever you need them. It's beautiful, sad and again beautiful. I like how raw the mv is both aesthetic wise and message wise any fandom can relate to this.
@@shiroshiro688 You can interpret it on your own, but in Korea, the theory is that NewJeans shows the freshness of teenagers, so it shows the relationship between fans and idols rather than such a dark interpretation
The girl's name, Ban Hee Soo, is a fun expression of bunnies' Korean pronunciation and symbolizes fans. Like a girl who watches members on a video camera, fans watch TV or RU-vid videos, and the boy represents real problems (academic, employment), and the wind and rain mean trials. They support each other, but in the eyes of those around them, idols are only seen as otaku. Throwing away the camcorder means quitting fan activities, and as Minji said, the scene of looking at the deer from afar expresses the distance between fan and idol. Just as news gins come true when playing video tapes later, this MV shows the relationship between fans and idols. , It's amazing that a 5-month-old rookie girl group released such a song and a music video, and this is something that other idols and fans can relate to!
New Jeans = Deer Video Girl = Fan(s) Video Girl = Ban Hee Soo, who loves idols (made a name similar to the fandom of New Jeans - "Bunnies") In A-SIDE, You can see idols deeply embedded in the lives of fans. But, Heesoo looked at the deer from afar at last scene.. The girl who fell in love returned to the real world from the idol's fandom as she became an adult. As soon as she turned around while watching New Jeans are dancing under a street lamp in B-SIDE, she left for love. New Jeans keep getting call, but Heesoo doesn't answer. (In the OMG MV, Hani, the iPhone, delivers a message through a pigeon, and the content is 'Heesoo, please answer the phone :)")
3:58 The 6th girl is Park Jihu who played Onjo in All Of Us Are Dead and Little Women (youngest) The guy in the beginning is actor Choi Hyunwook from 2521 and just recent drama weak hero class 1 (sooo good!)
@@THegirl577 Yes. they release s1 in November. This season stop at when he is force to transfer school due to beating up that senator son for putting their common friends in coma with an unfair fight.
idk why but these “tapes” made me feel really sad? like i see whats happening but not have a whole grasp of the meaning yet i almost cried (i cried lol)
what’s your theory 🤔 I think it’s theory 4 10:54 - since the 6th girl’s arm also injured so it’s very likely they all got into some kind of accident but she is the one who survived.
I don’t think it’s about an accident because only the cast could be a proof. Also Minji called her on the phone in the Side B (when Heeseo started to realize she was alone) which means that Minji is not dead (the phone call represents Phoning)
the deer maybe caused the accident and she still watch the girls in denial for being the only survivor + in side A she walks in the rain with them but on side B she leaves with the umbrella alone, she also breaks the camera implying that she was able to overcome the death of her friends and stating to move on (maybe with the boy's help who noticed when she was sad and lonely ??)
i'm getting more convinced about the theory that the sixth girl is us bunnies. We see NewJeans everywhere in our lives but only through a lense while others stare at us not knowing what we're doing. But eventually we move on and NewJeans become part of our memory in a box or a VHS. Wait but then this doesn't coincide with the idea that NewJeans never go out of fashion and will always be there... hmm
i think i'm more to theory about lone girl just dreamed that she have friends. u can see her jacket is blue which all her classmates are wearing blue but all new jeans are wearing different colour. new jeans is like always there for her until she close with the guy all and decide to move on. her arm maybe she got hurt somewhere but no friends support her
Hey, You guys, the 6th member is bunnies. the girls full name is BanHeeSoo[ban hi su]=Bunnies. This song is dedicated to NewJeans fan Bunnies. This is fansong.
From what I see, Heesoo (vhs girl) is the main character and we see through her lenses. Side A explains how Heesoo has these imaginary friends (newjeans) as a way to cope from depression or hallucinations? At somepoint in the MV, it was shown that the girls are not real (minji erasing of the legs of a girl on the chalkboard). Either way side A represents Heesoo's past and she chose to stick with her hallucinations. (Which is why you see newjeans more in side A) In side B, the guy plays a character as someone in the PRESENT, concerned and actually cares for Heesoo (you), but you have to make the choice to let go of your past (drops camera) and move on forward. (You see the dude in side B more) The deer represents your intuition and the choice you make. (SIDE A, choosing the unreal friends = deer stuck in a cold place, alone like Heesoo) (SIDE B, choosing to move on = deer looks at you and moves on.) (Main character) Heesoo was either an only survivor in an accident (the cast) and all her friends passed away and she was reminiscing or she was a victim of bullying and imagined of these girls as a coping mechanism...
This is my perspective. I think the correct order is watch side-B to side-A. There are spoilers in side-B because everything is a mystery. It’s just the girl filming NJ following them and videoing the guy, then dropping the cam recorder. I have 2 theories. First, maybe the girl(park jihu) is experiencing depression due to an accident because her arm has been cast, resulting in a schizophrenic state. Imagining that her friends are still alive in some moments. Second, either her friends died or it’s her that died but her soul is still stuck watching her friends. Maybe by dropping the cam recorder the girl is close to realizing that NJ is non-existing or she is dead and the deer represents the girl not in the world already. If you watch B first the ending is a girl watching the VHS and reminiscing new jeans memories then credits appear while VHS is still playing and you can hear the girls talking. More like the ending of side-B is the beginning of side A. Also, if you listen to the melody in side-B ending, it is the same as the melody in side-A beginning. Then continuing to side A, which the girl is still watching VHS of NJ girls, is like a continuation of what she is watching in side-B ending but more detailed. The ending of side-A is you don’t know if new jeans are imaginary or the girl is imagining them because she put the nail polish in Minji’s pinky but when she woke up it’s pinky that has nail polish. Also, she’s filming no one. OR the girl is dead, because during the drinking fountain scene, in the viewpoint of the guy no one is drinking at the drinking fountain aside from him. Also, Minji drew her but then erased half of the drawing. Then the video ended and credits appeared. Side-A they showed that the girl is not filming anyone. In the fountain scene, when the guy is drinking the girl is not there he is not seeing the girl and Minji drew the girl then erased half of her. Which would make you realize one of them is imagining the other. Either NJ is imaginary/dead OR the girl has schizophrenia or the girl is dead. So if you watch it from side A to B you will still feel mv is not yet done because NJ girls are still talking. And MV will confuse you because of the emotion, the feeling it is not yet finished.
5 of her friend died in the accident , the only memories she had is that video tape. She move on but those 5 girls stay the same (even stay in the school). Years later she is grown up but those 5 still young and the same.
I read it in Twitter that "A deer crossing your path is a reminder to check in with yourself to make sure that you are not living in the past or in the future and to realign yourself back to the present moment.
M/V Interpretation: The 6th girl means a fan of Bernie's New Jeans The existence of an idol is an illusion that doesn't exist in everyday life Someone who likes idols may take a picture of them and leave them as a record, and it may seem like Odd to be with them as close friends If you take it out after some time, it means that the memories are still there
I believe some of the scenes exist due to theory 3 initially, but then theory 4 may have happen that cause her to film their ghost vision in the middle of class and rooftop due to refusal to accept they are no longer here. So for her to recover from the losses of her friend, she gave up on that imaginary deer in the hallway scene and stop keep holding onto her passed away friends until now she is grew up and strong enough to face it again, so she play the vhs and revisit her memories with her passed away friends.
That deer caused a major car accident and killed all of them except for the one survivor who was filming everything. It was her way of not wanting to let go but finally she found the guy who helped her moved on in part B. She can then rewatched her memories again without feeling guilt
i think the deer is most likely a metaphor. usually "deer in the headlights" or "innocence". it represents the main character facing her fear of growing up and talking to the crush. new jeans were her imaginary escape.
this is what I thought as well. They dont explain in the mV how she got her arms casted.. For sure it was from an accident.. So I guess it’s more of like reliving the memories she had with her passed friends.. Its quite sad tho
Theory 4 is actually right, the Doe is a message about having to focus on the present and in your own mental state, the messages on her arm ¨Don't die please¨ and things like that. It really shows that the video is not that she's mentally ill, but that she still misses her friends
I read it in explanation of the mv in Twitter thar a deer crossing your path is a reminder to check in with yourself to make sure you are not living in the past or future and to realign your self back to your present moment . It actually make sense, because she is finally accepting the reality that her best friends are not there anymore with the help of the boy and trying to move on with her life and at the end , she watching old video and reliving or remembering her Happy days with her best friends (Newjeans)
This is the fan song of NewJeans😊 The camcorder girl means bunnies the Newjeans’ fan😊 We will leave from Newjeans in the future like her. But the memory with Newjeans is forever😊
its SURVIVOR’S GUILT. being the only one who survived in an accident. reliving memories of her friends whom she thought would grow up with.. but didnt. 🤍🐇
