If you’re cutting two of those boards you could use another board on bottom and clamp them together and make two cuts at the same time if you have the length on the saw, or make two passes you’re doing all this on lunch so that’s amazing!
I only have a singular spring clamp at the moment, and my attempts at using it weren't inspiring! The circular saw can cut deeper, to the point I probably could cut two boards at the same time. Maybe I could use screws to clamp the boards down until I have more appropriate gear...
use pallet wood only if you place zero value on your time. It takes a L O N G time to get usable wood from pallets. There are usually large, frequent, open knots; and weak, unstable grain patterns prone to splitting. Basically the quality of the wood is usually terrible -- not really suitable for anything other than making pallets.
Thank you. I very much value my time, but I also appreciate my lack of experience. I'm happy, in these early stages, to make mistakes on pallet wood or partially damaged shed panels. I'd be annoyed at myself for making beginner mistakes on wood I'd paid money for. I have a weird love for oak sleepers so I may look into getting into working with those in the future.
@@TorpisoulYT I’m just like you, I value my time but I’ve learned not all pallets are the same- some are hard wood and those are much better quality and split much less than the soft woods. It takes some experience and a little patience but I feel like it pays off. I’m looking forward to more videos!
