My guess is that they think that in a higher rank, they wouldn't have to heal as much, so it's just on the team if they feed. Problems with that mindset are that he is currently in bronze, so he needs to play like his team is shit and heal them more, and that mindset is only partly true in other levels anyway, because even if he would need to heal less in a higher rank compared to bronze, he's still not doing nearly enough scanning as a support for figuring out when healing does need to happen. If he was popping off hard-core and killing everything so fast that his team survived, that would be different, but he doesn't have the immense amount of skill it takes to win by himself, so he needs to actually work with his team instead of repeatedly going tunnel vision on whatever dps battle he is in. The mechanical skill may be good enough for gold, but the game sense for playing support in particular is just not there. While it's not advisable in any role, you can tunnel a bit more as a tank comparatively as long as you back up and use cover when necessary, while the whole point of support is to SUPPORT. Even if his Zarya is trying to disengage to get healed sometimes, this guy would never know because he's basically ignoring the Zarya most of the time.

My guess is they're like "The tank isn't playing the way I would", but that isn't a valid argument because you're comparing a bronze tank to a gold tank. The tank is playing like a bronze tank.

their game sense was bad, their mechanical skills weren't too great with their kunai's, might as well healbot but they could not even do that.

This part. If someone is in bronze, and doesn't have a premade team of people that know what they're doing, it is a nightmare to try and climb out of bronze 😢

@@pixelsoulNo, it isn’t. Stop blaming others and look how you can improve your own value. Watch replays. Every death, ask what you could’ve done differently. If you keep blaming others, you’ll never improve. You probably learn bad habits (because you don’t get punished for stupid mistakes in low ELO) and unlearning them is difficult. Sure, those bad habits sometimes carry games. A DPS Moira can think they’re insane because “bigger number more better” while the other support dies in the backline and the fight is lost. You think “my dps suck I’ll do it myself” but they might be tilted because they don’t receive any healing. If you look at your gameplay and you don’t see how you could improve anything, you’re the problem.

@@renevdk4387While that is true sometimes (most of the times in higher elos), look at this gameplay and tell me that a singular player doing good would have saved the game. These games are not rare in low elo, and premade teams avoid that completely.

@@renevdk4387if your “skill level” is silver tier and you are stuck in bronze it is basically impossible to rank up (especially depending how far you are into bronze). You need high enough skill to carry.

Your advice is good for general play (and for the player in the video) but 'hard stuck in bronze' is a real thing and is very difficult to climb out of unless you're significantly better than your team and can just carry. Otherwise I was stuck in bronze for a while when I first started rank and you simply can't win with stupid. And you're more likely to get paired up with stupid people when you're in bronze. There's just such a wide range of skill (using 'skill' loosely) between people who have never played the game, people who are just not good and people who are getting better and climbing. You can be someone who is on the cusp of silver and still get paired with Bronze 5 idiots like the one in the video. And that's without taking into account the hidden MMR which can literally keep you stuck in lower ranks if you have an old account that you've barely played on etc. Of course it always comes down to 'skill issue' but they're right to say it's a nightmare to get out of too. OW is a team game after all and you're only as good as your worst teammate. And, as we can see in this game, your worst teammate can be really fuckin bad lol

Basically the kiriko I guess wanted bubbles to duel but the zarya was dead from not being healed is what I'm guessing

As someone who used to be in bronze back in OW1 and climbed to mid-high Diamond, I can tell you what their line of thought is; "I am dying cause my tank is not protecting me - I should be able to not have to use corners, be aggressive, be in front of the tank, and always be safe if my tank is doing their job" basically they expect tank to be their personal bodyguard all game. I remember having games where supports were asking for Rein just to have a shield to be behind of, instead of using natural cover.

@xaviergoodwin4806 If you want to be a solo warrior, go play a solo game. If you want to play DPS, go play DPS. Supports can and do get elims, but that Zarya needed their support and their support was off playing DPS instead.

@@LadyVineXIII I'm not arguing against that at all. I'm just saying they weren't doing the bare minimum and atleast getting kills if they wanted to be a DPS kiriko so atleast they would be somewhat useful

@Antonio-ys5zd I think that may be part of the issue. They were playing her like a dive tank, not a support. I would not be surprised to find out they main Ball, Diom, or JQ with this play style. Although even a dive tank should know their health packs.

I'd love that but my head might explode if I saw people playing like this in my games

It seriously makes a world of difference. My brother just got back into the game last night for the first time since 2018, and by the end of the night we went from lobbies where folks don't know what cover or the cart are to matching with golds and plats

@@Kuweiyo It's pretty interesting tbh. I've played with a lot of bronze players in QP while I've been plat to diamond in comp and it's usually just basic mistakes like thinking point presence means more than winning the fight to get the point etc. So you get to see people hurl themselves towards the point to be killed and staggered like this video showed haha

not really a problem with trying to improve. I mean for all intents and purposes this is the perfect environment to improve because it forces you to actually figure out how value truly works - because if you don't add real value consistently, then your team WILL find ways to int your games straight to hell before you can blink lol. Actual issues arise in higher ranks where you may not immediately be punished for being a bad player, if your team can stabilize for you consistently and don't feed their own brains out all the time. Especially when you play support and can stay safe in a backline (boosted Mercy and Kiri players this one for yall)

​@@chaseadams598true. I get blamed for not having 10k damage when I'm playing sombra and my other dps is Bastion or something that is meant for high damage. Metal rank players don't understand the concept of utility

@@chaseadams598 People in gold-plat lobbies are especially notorious for this. They think you're not keeping up, even though you might die the least. But that's the only stat that might actually matter, your number of deaths. Better to know when to evade and survive longer than it is to do high damage but feed all the time.
