I guess this has to be the Worlds First Live Streaming RC Car! The Kobotix Real racer is a not only a capable 1/28 Mini RC Car (similar to a Kyosho Mini-z) it's also an FPV Racer with Gyro assisted steering, 4wd and a 720p HD Camera!

Thanks for the videos. We are new to the hobby and we just bought four of the 16889A brushless version RC Cars at your recommendation and we added oil shocks but we'd love to some day see a video/s on the best practices for upgrading, maintenance, and preventing heavy damage to these entry level RC cars. Thanks again for all of your videos. We love the cars you recommended.

Never had / used / tired any fpv rc anything as yet. Looks pretty cool and i may have to get one or something similar. Great video review, must say that i love your enthusiasm for everything rc. You are always happy with all reviews and positive no matter what happens. Great work. Haven't seen these in Australia yet. Look forward to next review 👍🇦🇺

@@TomleyRC hi, I dont know if you remember, but does the fpv picture have any lag on this? Because when I had other rtr fpv rc cars, I press the throttle or make an action and then theres a 1 second delay for the live feed screen to register on every action made (like pressing the throttle or turning), not seamless. Was that the same here, mraning theres lag? Thx in advance

@@lyricofwise6894that's because it's using a cellphone, it's wifi fpv. There will always be a delay on any fpv that uses cellphones and wifi. That's why fpv race drones use analog video, the picture isn't as clear as wifi but there is no delay. You can buy a small analog camera and analog goggles for pretty cheap.

Super cool! I'm happy to see more FPV cars being made. I'd prefer if it went faster, turned sharper, and had better range obviously. It does look really nice though: the car itself, the DVR, and the app.

My hobby plus 24 scale crawler is fpv ready. I want to get a camera for that one, and take it down some trails. That's something I've always wanted to try. And camera recommended for that crawler?

Wonder if there will be any hop ups other then wheels, tires being shared with the likes of wltoys 1:28th & mini-z awd & maybe springs fitting as well. Or if you can put in like a pn racing 43t motor into this for some extra speed if the built in esc on this can handle faster motors fine. Feel free too try drift wheels on this as well, might not have that great of a steering angle but should still work I'd imagine.

Fantastic little car, Tomley! Awesome review! 😃 Yeah, analog FPV has a pretty low quality video, even if you used one of the best cameras, like the Caddx Ratel. BUT there are options as well! There are 2 main HD FPV systems in the market today: the DJI system and HDZero. (Just search about them.) Now there's a new system announced, which is from FatShark and Walksnail... Walksnail is actually Caddx, who worked with DJI in their system... But they say it's not. Feels like, smells like, tastes like... But it's not. I guess, who knows at this point. 😬 Either way, 3 great options and with much less latency than something via wifi, for sure! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I bought a 600mw vtx and and camera last summer,fit it inside a Hammond box with a small 2s drone battery,I just tape it onto whatever rc I'm using except my xmaxx cos all you see is sky lol

Not the same quality but, almost any replacement WiFi camera off a cheap drone will do this job, just figuring out through correct polarity on the wires is the only slightly trick bit, let me know if you want more info.

There's quite a variety if you look for drone FPV kits. I picked up a 5.8ghz camera, transmitter, receiver kit for $50CDN🍁 and have had a blast putting in various rigs

A mate and I got these from kickstarter, we have android phones and the lag from the camera is really really bad, like 1-2sec lag making it difficult to drive. Edit: They updated the app and now the lag is gone.

I was going to ask why you don't get on with the headset, and was it because you wear glasses, but I think you answered that. I had the same issue with the DJI goggles, with my Mavic Pro, and having to buy inserts to go in them to allow for your prescription! I only used them a handful of times. Was that the same issue with these for you? This seems like a really well put together little car, and that flat black shell looks great. Maybe a thought for my son for Christmas? 😎👍🏻

If you mod the transmitter antenna with a little coax, maybe the same on the car, you should get better range... Trim the screening off so you have the same exposed length as stock antenna, on the pcb end, remove the stock bit of wire antenna and attach centre conductor there and the screen to ground.

same with little toy grade FPV quadcopters, put the antenna vertical does wonders for some range and clarity. small shielded coax and a better antenna up away from other electronics even just an inch helps a ton.. antenna similar to what comes on a micro 5.8ghz Boldclash.

You can't use cellphone wifi for fpv. It's just worthless. There is a delay in the video with wifi fpv. So everything you see the car doing has already happened before you see it. So how can you race? If a turn is coming up, you would hit the wall because it's delayed. Your car has already passed the turn before you even see it through the phone. That's why ppl that fly race drones use analog and not wifi. Wifi has better picture but has a delay in video, analog has crappy picture but no delay. You can't react to something if it already happened before you even seen it.
