CNN Hero Yamilée Toussaint realized there were few other women who looked like her at MIT. So she founded a dance program to show a new generation that they belong in technology fields. #CNN #News #Engineering #Dance #stem

Bots and trolls are common on CNN pages, including this one. It’s the same old, same old trash from malignant narcissists in the US and abroad. They’re just so predictable. 😂😂
As someone who has seen this be true... it's not just about race. It's about gender. I was breaking molds in the early 2000s. Girls didn't do what I did. Today they do but had I not started and gave confidence to other girls back then... it would have taken longer to evolve.
@@AlexLoftin-u3h all people do is have to look at the flag of the United States and they should see truth is self evident... freedom is within segregation...
@@AlexLoftin-u3h -->> freedom (n.) Old English freodom "power of self-determination, state of free will; emancipation from slavery, deliverance;" see free (adj.) + -dom. Meaning "exemption from arbitrary or despotic control, civil liberty" is from late 14c. Meaning "possession of particular privileges" is from 1570s. Similar formation in Old Frisian fridom, Dutch vrijdom, Middle Low German vridom.
Interest in working in STEM or ANY area starts early in home ... "Getting" people interested is a flawed statement... Youcant Get people interested ..INTEREST STARTS WITHIN A PERSON of its not whole and full and driven ...Exposure is great but "getting " someone interested is false thinking
This individual should not resort to racism. We have all worked long and hard to enact equality laws at both the state and the federal level. Focusing to advance one race is the very definition of racism. This individual should focus on elevating all individuals rather than just resorting to racism and focusing only on black females.
You wouldn't be that when in the past the focus was to keep blacks in the fields? STEM was too good for them! Congratulations to the young lady. Encourage your peers and let them know they can do it if they try.
@@lucycan6363. You have no idea what you were talking about with your, ‘blacks in the field’ comment. I have a letter from Coretta Scott King about when we marched for civil rights. Do you have such a letter? As I stated, we have fought long and hard to enact civil rights legislation at both of state and the federal level. I am astonished to see that once again, racism is raising its ugly head again. I am also astonished that some people are supporting this form of racism.
