This mod completely changes The Sims 4 Dine Out! 

Hi! Man, thanks for covering this James! It's so fun to see someone using it like this. I am watching and thought I'd share some tips in case it might help people. I think a burger joint should totally be able to make lots of money, I mean.. McDonald's?!?. I am going to be working on a setting that will add a base price to foods, so that if a player wants to try to run a 5 star burger joint and have enough to live off of, it can be done. The game really needs work with seasons ugh. I want to add a test to indoors on those buffs where Sims freak out because it's stormy. I swore that was not a thing at one time.. A future desire is also to boost revenues by having takeout. Sim walks in grabs meal, bam. No worries about the sim cap and more sales. Waiters are the only ones that can take orders (of staff) as you realized. You would also have to be mindful off settings. I guess a player could figure it out by see and feel but it would be turning back on waiters take orders (oops you did this 30 seconds later). You really can kind of evolve the feel of the restaurant over time. I really liked the idea of a start like yours where you can grow from a single Sim setup to a big establishment with a 6 member staff. The customers waiting feature coming in 3.1 is not the same as disallow new, as I guess you learned from trial and error. So if you have 3 tables and someone leaves, it's going to consider that a new group wouldn't be stuck "waiting" :)

using this mod you could have a proper family run restaurant with only members of your household working at the restaurant

Well it's not like The Sims team was gonna fix Dine Out...

we REALLY NEED a Dine Out refresh. It's been SO LONG since they released it but they won't even bother fixing it. it wouldve been a great pack to buy if it wasnt for the bugs.

Fries are in appetizers! You scrolled right over them before deciding to skip apps. Carl’s guides have always been awesome, really well thought out and it’s unsurprising that his mods are excellent in that regard too!

ohhhh a new series with dine out would be great! maybe the next generation (Addison?) can have a restaurant and have the teens working there after school? the fries were in appetizers btw 😅

James - has a decent sized empty lot Also James - starts building his restaurant in the corner of the lot right to the edge 😅

I’m here for this! Carl is partially responsible for saving the Sims from some of their fails…kudos to him and kudos to James for always showing support! Oh, and this is day 861 of me asking Mr. Turner to bless us with a side Sims 2 or Sims 3 LP! Well not really day 861, more like day 2 but ya get the picture 😅

Oh man, this makes me want another Dine Out let’s play! Or maybe implement it into your current High School Years let’s play, with Addison running a restaurant when he grows up.

Those are such a simple changes but literally everything I ever wanted from Dine Out. I'm once again declaring Carl as the hero of TS4.

I really hope there will be a dine out refresh where they add the option to play as a chef/ a waiter ... So that you could have a family owned , family managed restaurant (which makes so much sens )!

I loved the dine out rags to riches (despite the bugs), and it's been ages since we've managed a restaurant - it'd be fun to see a whole family business type situation. Also Carl is an absolute legend for creating this mod.

You should definitely do another dine out series or mini series! Maybe with Brianna and/or Addison once they age up? or part of the Bigwallet Emporium can be a restaurant with a fake thrift store or mall type shops?

This is awesome!! He did an amazing job. Please do the let’s play! Restaurants in the Sims are one of the most fun concepts to me… I was so bummed when they didn’t work properly.

Love him ignoring fries in the appetizer menu and then desperately searching for them in the mains...

Please bring back the dine out series... apart from the seasons lets play, that was in my top 3 of all time bigwallet favorites... the builds in that series were wayyy ahead of its time, especially REEF

Play with a family and each one does a different job, like the mom cooks the dad hosts and the son is the waiter

EA needs to pay Carl a buttload of money and then release this as a pack refresh. I am so excited to play dine out for the first time! I've had the pack forever, and my Sims go to restaurants, but I have never wanted to try running a restaurant because of the horrible bugs and the fact that my Sims couldn't be the chef or the host. This actually makes the pack worth playing! I am about to age up my next legacy Sim, and I know exactly what career she is going into!

Im downloading this mod and making my next generation have their own restaurant. I have Dine Out but I've NEVER played with it because of the bugs. The CAS and Build Items are enough for me, but now I'm super excited to try this out!

I LOVED "Open for Business" in the Sims 2, so when "Dine Out" came around in Sims 4, I was excited until I watched the reviews. EA owes Carl, because his mod is the ONLY REASON I bought this pack today. With everything buggy in Sims 4, I look to modders like him to save the game. Thank you for a super fun review and to Carl for making this mess of a pack actually work!

My Sim can FINALLY be the chef... working on the cooking skill is now gonna feel so much more fulfilling!! Dine Out is my favourite pack and I'm so happy that someone fixed it and made it fun again!!

This is such a great mod. I basically gave up owning a restaurant in TS4 but this mod makes me want to try it again!

It would be cool to try and build a "food truck" and run the restaurant solo that way. Either way I really can't wait to see more content from you using this mod. I can't wait to download it myself.

For some reason, you HAVE to do the menu before setting custom outfits for your staff, otherwise it undoes your outfit choices when you edit menu - this isn’t anything to do with the mod, it’s just a glitch in the game.

The level of excitement in James voice tells me this is a great mod. Just imagine being able to play Dine Out as it should have been when it was released. It was one of the major disappointments in the game so glad for people like Carl their talent and dedication to improving the game experience for the community will be definitely getting this mod and paying for it too. Watching this a month later cause I just started playing on my Mac coming from console and if a refresh ever happens this would be a perfect model, and they should add in take out orders (pipe dream I know) but this is so great!!!

If you want to have your sims get rid of the fear of unfulfilled dreams, have them complete one of their wants and then find a sim they know, so they can use the option of "discuss theirs fears", it's worded something like that, and the fear should go away. As for the dead end job one, just make the go to work in good mood (happy, focused, very focused, confident, very confident, etc.) for multiple days. LP suggestion for you: You mentioned doing an LP with this mod, so why not do that, rags to riches style. Mod suggestions for this LP besides the one you used in this video: Entrance Fee on Community Lots by littlemssam and the burglar mod by Carl, because I would like to see a video of this mod. Other mods you could use if you wanted to: Holiday Home Standalone Version, Transfer Inventory, Skate Everywhere, Gender & More, Auto Employees, which are all by littlemssam, and Nisa’s Lot Trait Extender, which is hosted on littlemssam's site. there are also I few mods out there that will allow you to have more traits for Semaj, if you wish for him to have more right from the CAS. You could have lot that has restaurant, a spa and gym business and a business that is bowling, game (arcade, darts, game table, etc.) and nightclub ( DJ booth and bar). You could do this by either: A. restaurant on the first floor, spa and gym area on the 2nd floor, bowling, game, nightclub in the basement with one main entrance for each business. B. One large building with more than one business in it, restaurant, a spa and gym business and a business that is bowling, game and nightclub all side by side with one main front entrance for each business. C. One large building with more than one business in it, restaurant in one portion of the building, so it can have multiple floors going up and basement levels if need be, a spa and gym business that is on the 2nd floor and up and a business that is bowling, game and nightclub 1st floor and basement levels all with one main front entrance for each business. The spa and gym business and business that is bowling, game and nightclub could have an entrance fee set in order to enter those sections, while the restaurant does not. Semaj could also have small roof top garden for growing some of the ingredients for the restaurant. Maybe you could make the basement of the restaurant, if going with B, C, or something similar to those 2, an apartment like place for Semaj similar to what you and DrGluon have in the Fez Mart, but with an added bathroom in it just for Semaj, or had in the art gallery. The back of the building could be like an alleyway, a side street or something. If you wanted Greg to be the waiter in the restaurant, you could get him from DrGluon's army of Gregs. If you wanted the business to have an eclectic style, you could make use of the dumpster diving and fixing up furniture options for the business lot as well as the fishing to get a DJ booth for the nightclub. It would be like you did thrifting at the flea market or thrift store. Your end goal could be to make a million simoleons. Maybe you could do this with the scenario, if you wanted to. There is a Live in Business mod by littlemssam, but it doesn't work with restaurants. If and when EA/Maxis ever does a Dine Out refresh I hope they add that option for restaurants straight into the game.

Thanks for going through the mod like that because I'm honestly too lazy to read through stuff unless it's necessary and I really like the way this mod seems to vastly improve the game play. Can't wait to get it.

Neat! I’ll have to give this mod a try sometime. You mentioned that you can have household members work there, too, and that’s something I’ve wanted for awhile with the game. I like that there’s different settings which means the restaurants can vary a lot more so they’re not all having to be fancy sit-down restaurants with waiters, hosts, etc. Neat mod!
