We can't innovate ourselves out of problems that need to be solved with legislation. Florida is the perfect example for this. The state recently removed previously existing workers' protection to rest and hydrate. Outdoor workers by and large can FEEL that they need to take a rest and drink water without AI assistance, but if they are not allowed to do so, then this point is moot. This isn't to discount the amazing work our scientists are doing, but there's a disconnect between how things work in theory and the reality.
America is all about making that sacrifice for something bigger than ourselves. Compromising without compromising our values. Brotherhood not loyalty to one man or political party. It is the heart and soul of our country.
