yeah as u can see cecilion and paquito stop attacking him bcs they realized there's a lag for phoveus. but bcs pharsa open the ult, evos think they open war so they attack paquito again.
i think this is what actually happened, bcuz its possible evos did realize pai was lagging, and they stopped attacking. but they didnt know if the problem was solved or not cuz udil started to attacking again. i mean this is obviously unfair, but both teams should know what to do and what not to do.
I'm not a fan of Alter Ego but seeing this clip just somehow made me sad for the team. Losing because of something out of their control is just a different level of frustration and I feel them. Hope moonton say something about this.
That was so frustrating. Even though it took too long in match. I'm really glad that in MPL PH if they notice a problem, they pause it immediately. The staff's handling of the game is so bad I hope they fix it immediately. That's so unfair!
@@tav220 I think people really should add the fact that there's a rule in MPL ID where you can't pause mid war. It's really nobody's fault, but if Pharsa didn't ult then the observers would've paused.
Beatrix stopped attacking Phoveus but Paquito didn't so Pharsa really had no choice but to use her ult to protect Phoveus. I'm only saying this since some people in the comment section blamed Pharsa for ulting right where the pause happened.
This kind of thing already happen in msc2018 Saiyan vs Aerowolf..soloz got disconnected but they continue the game with 4 vs 5.Saiyan ask for a rematch but their request was rejected..so their withdraw from the match giving Aerowolf 2-0 win

Not only did they not pause right when the players asked to, but the whole match they (Evos) kept pausing the game multiple times and every pause took at least 10 minutes which is actually very odd comparing to the other matches with other teams that never paused the game (except once, today AURA vs evos and it was AURA that paused). I was really hoping for a rematch but too bad they didn't do that. Respect to Alter Ego for doing their best even though they were robbed.
Moonton needs a remake pause rule in mpl.. See 3 seconds after PAI lag, antimage stops hitting and moves to the left leaving PAI.. (BOOM ultimate parsha comes) Teamfight happened.. In the rules there is no pause in teamfight war..

Paquito dashed so much during phoveus lag, i don't know what will happen if there's no lag, but surely paquito have to think twice dashing in front of phoveus, it may affect the teamfight in that precious moment I feel bad for both side, AE could win in that moment, meanwhile evos gonna be hated by many viewer whatever the end result of that match
The Paquito could handle Phoveus just fine, i think throughout the game he's actually been able to dodge or tank the damage from phoveus. Even the Lancelot was capable of dodging Phoveus, the one that's at risk is just Beatrix and Cecilion

That moment there the staff should've paused but they didn't and paq kept hitting the phov so AE came back to cover the phov... All in all it's not the players at fault it's the mpl staff.. But if no disconnect from Pai AE 90% would've end that game right there
Im pretty sure if Pai didn't get disconnected that Alter Ego will win. This is so unfair i mean if we look at alter ego side we can see that they desperately to end the game because of cecilon nasty late game and most likely alter ego lost their focus right after lost their chance to finish the game and cause them get outplayed easily by evos especially from celiboy

if you look closely with both of your eyes, seconds before Pharsa Ult, Antimage and Rekt backing off from Pai knowing that he lagged. but the moment Udil popped his ulti, anything goes. lag or no lag you will still be killed. its rule in MPL that whenever a teamfight happen, there is no pause. and that is one of Udil's mistake to get out of control. otherwise if he's patient enough, they will get their pause.
And u blame other teams pausing in tourna. This vid is a prime example of technical pause. Thats why you call it technical. No strategy just fixing the ping prob. Every second lagging will cause you a game which changes the flow resulting in a negative way.

I've experienced this before when i was playing with a 7ms ping and suddenly my game turned to the loading screen, it won't let me log back in cuz it said it was undergoing a update. After that i was deducted 8 credit score for being afk

While Udil decision isnt really good, it isnt wrong either, because 1 less person mean more pressure. This is late game, where cecilion shine the most. The lag is not small lag, Pai cant even move. If you watch carefully, cecilion hit phoveus at the same moment with pharsa ult, so even if pharsa didnt ult, phoveus would still at low HP. Basically, its moonton fault to unable provide less lagging tournament after so many tournament held.
Why this happened so often whoever handled those should get fired, this game got promoted to ASEAN games E-sports section so this is very embarrassing.
Unprofessional at its finest , you can blame the marshal for not being attentive of the problem . This is the big difference between mpl Ph and mpl indo . It's okay to paused so many times as long as they will provide the clean matches because this is professional tournaments

According to mpl rule book In Offline match, as soon as the player ask to pause, the mpl committee / observer must do pause immediately and then ask the reason. No need to wait whatsoever.
Yeahh..the referee are the one to be blame. Normally, the referee take action when it is to late. They are using high speed internet, good quality device to play in the tournament but still this problem keep occuring. Not to mention the referee there sometimes ignore the player request to pause the game untill it's to late.
I hope those who's ressponsible of that DISCONNECTION issue should got FIRED cause it CHANGE THE WHOLE game and also the whole team I HOPE ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE iN THIS ISSUE is not in MPL IND MANAGEMENT anymore right now they dont desserve to be there. As a evos fans i get the feel of it being robbed when the victory is just ahead. It's a shame to MLBB community cuz MPL is a profesional league. Comeback stronger AE, even tho ya'll deserve that win👍
The worst thing is that Pai disconnection definitely confuses and frustates both teams, Evos as a team who has suffered a lost because of a lag definitely knows how it feels to be in Pai's position, but for Alter Ego this is a huge impact for their team, all of them are angered which could result in underperformance.
Feel sad for the alter ego team because they came home on the first day of the playoffs quite surprising, the official mpl id team was slow to respond to the pause offered by alter ego, as you know 1 second is very valuable in mobile legends games, especially in tournaments like mpl 😔

There is no limit time of pausing in mpl offline, so yeah this is purely human error (observer fault) not Evos/Ae player, but 14 seconds delay before the game finally paused? and paused after 2 players die? there's no way this incident was accidental
The game should be pause the moment AE requested it because every member is importart in the team. The management took a lot of time before pausing the game though. That's quite unfair. I hope moonton have a rewind system like in other games that is essential in tournament problems like this. A big respect for Alter Ego team. 👏👏👏
When EVOS requested a pause previously, they pause it immediately but when AE requested🤔. The officials mistake is not acting immediately. MPL staffs bruh moment...
I'm surprised that Moonton doesn't have a function similar to Riot's Chronobreak, which is used in competitive League matches to "rewind" the match to certain points due to bugs, glitches, or unforeseen circumstances. Also, it's really shocking that a pause was only granted after 14 seconds of Pai being disconnected, while in that 14 seconds, AE lost their mage, and Phoveus lost both Immortality and his life.

The match was heated up and then he suddenly get disconnected from the game, it surely get delay on notice about the disconnecting in game. You know how Mobile Legend works. Its not really the staffs fault since they do need to confirm is he actually dc. The timing itself couldn't be even worse

Reforms do occur and that's the small "what if" of a window that we're looking with an optimistic mindset...no harm in doing so, even if it's miniscule. for those who ask why Udil issued an ulti? because there, when pai was lagging, Udil asked for a pause even until he stood up but no one responded/pause, that's why he ulti there so that the evos player backs down because before the ulti, antimage gave an attack to pai, unfortunately the evos player thought it was an attack, not a protection NT AE... But pharsa should strike down her ultimate on Pai (Phoveus) not to the enemies to avoid misconception. If he wanted to protect Pai and give Evos a hint, Pharsa shoudnt damage the enemies instead striking it down to Pai (phoveus) himself. To extend to confusion or to emphasize the message 🤔

It was unfortunate but in defense of the one who monitors, each second counts and abruptly pausing a game amidst a big clash with no regards of complications is also accountable. Looking at the map when the clash is happening, everyone is scattered to be monitored in a matter of seconds and cc, stuns and suppressing skills could also be a factor of judgement. Who knows.. It is still frustrating, it is a lag of course it is. But things happen

But yeah, the crowd and the noise could have also gave a barrier to communicate with the one who handles the game set which is why they were not notified and aware of the actual situation

where can you read this rule book? Mirko has already justified that a pause can't occur during a teamfight, so either AE didn't call for a pause at the moment or the referee didn't come on time

They don't mention whether or not you're able to pause during a teamfight in offline tournaments(probably because they've already mentioned it above) so it's the same as the online ones. Why did you assume they could pause during a teamfight?

I think MPL should provide isolated room for the players and martials/observers especially during playoffs, cuz the audience are very loud and distracting, if they put the players and observers in a ro just like the TI DOTA, they won't be distracted like this cuz that's a shame for them the result could be so different if that disconnection didn't occur, or pause immediately.
