I’m an esthetician and I just have to say I am so glad you removed those lashes. That is not a proper method of lashing and it seemed as she wasn’t placing lashes on individual stands rather she was piling them one after the other, some overlapping which could have caused a serious eye infection for you and extreme discomfort. I’m so glad you were able to remove them! A trustworthy lash tech will isolate each strand before placing an extension on said strand. Look for these qualities if you’re ever interested in trying out lash extensions!!
@thesussexbunion I work as a freelance makeup artist (this is my asmr acct), and if you are prone to pulling your hair, eyelashes, etc I wiuld not use fake lashes. You will feel them and I guarantee get the urge to pull on them. Pulling off a strip of fake eyelashes is the best feeling ever, but you can also pull your real lashes off depending on how hard you pull. Maybe buy some false eyelash clusters. Just start with putting 1 or 2 clusters at the ends of your eyes and wear them in your house for awhile to see how you do. Maybe build your way up to wear a full strip of lashes without pulling on them
I'm 34 years old and have never heard of lash isolation until a few months ago. I was randomly recommended the lash subreddit while browsing and it was interesting so I joined it. I've never had my lashes done but I am HORRIFIED by myself because I used to do my own lashes all the time. All of the lash tutorials I've seen had never mentioned isolation. I guess because most were ladies diying at home. My poor lashes that I've ruined.. I cannot believe I've never heard of that term and that is the proper way to do them!

TIP to remove eyelashes: Hot shower, let it steam, wash your face like normal, be sure to get the lash line, and pull on the lashes, + add more water if needed... The lashes looked good on you, idk why your so worried about them they are cheap ones. They come off with water or you can make them last which is what normal people want.
I just thought of this but another reason that it is bad for the mua to not ask/tell what they are putting on the customers face is that the customers skin could be hella alergic to the product and sue depending.
I do not understand these fake lashes. Most times they’re WAY too long and look ridiculous. They look fake. I don’t understand why people WANT to look like they have fake lashes on. It’s tacky and cheap. Also, your skin is absolutely GORGEOUS. It’s flawless. You have a natural pink to your cheeks, a beautiful glow, it’s perfect. I’m so jealous!
I guess people just have different styles I don’t usually wear fake lashes bc I suck at sticking them on. I used to cut the fake lashes and put half in the corner of my eyes to make my eyes look more doe and dolly like, but I usually just wear mascara bc that takes to much time

I actually hate that you call MUAs “mooahs” 😂 I don’t think I’ve heard many (if any) other people say it like that, and definitely not said seriously! It’s not really one of those acronyms that you sound out! Edit: also, to remove false lashes, use an oil-based makeup remover (I like “Garnier Micellar Water with Argan Oil”). I use makeup remover wipes and add the Garnier as extra to the wipes, but a cotton pad like the ones you have are perfectly fine too. I dampen it pretty well (not dripping wet, but pretty frickin close 😅), then gently hold it on my eyelid for quite literally 10 minutes or more while I just sit and watch RU-vid! Every so often, I’ll shift the makeup wipe from pressing my lashes down, to going under them and lifting/pressing them upward toward my upper lid (while still keeping my eye closed). When it feels about right, I’ll try to gently rub my eye, but it usually feels so good to rub my eye at that point that I end up being a bit rough 😅 Side note - the makeup wipes I use are about the size of a Kleenex (tissue) and I use them once I’ve folded them in half 3 times (so, big square folded to get big rectangle, folded again to get smaller square, folded again to get smaller rectangle - there’s probably an easier way of explaining that 🤦♀️). I use one end of the smaller rectangle on one eye (the “front” and “back” of one side), then use the other end on the other eye. It just holds more of the micellar water, and is less wasteful. Hope this helps 🤷♀️
That's also what I heard 😂 I was expecting track pants with a glittery "jesus" on the butt, like a fake juicy couture hahah! They're jesus pins, a Bible-quotes-themed box of hairpins, that's a regular thing in some places apparently!
She said Jesus Pins. It's a callback to one of her older videos where the brand of hair pins had some time of religious saying on it and they are in this video as well.
It’s a good thing you don’t have hooded eyes like me, because putting eyeliner on with your eyes closed never turns out looking right with hooded eyes. 😅🩷
