It's the tracker most likely, he's really, really efficient with his own google sheet tracker, so using something you have to click out of the game and drag a line around on a map takes up a lot of extra time.

You should do a Coop run to a completed Pokedex in a regular non random pokemon game with Shen or someone else! Love those coop runs!

I think the Jump Kick not dealing self-damage when a ghost was sent out was likely because the move didn't technically miss, it just didn't deal damage. At least, that's my guess for what was happening under the hood. That's not very intuitive, though, so that probably explains why they changed it in later gens.

You said you don't need the secret key because you found Blaine's gym, but what if that loading zone is something important? Like couldn't blain'es gym be the champion room or something like that?

Is there any reason the Sevii Islands aren't included in the randomizer? They are the best part...

I don't remember why, but I can think of some reasons, like maybe there would be a problem if the Islands were included and it would make the game bug or even crash. Or, since it's optional, maybe they though it would have been useless since the usual goal is, well, the usual goal we know, the badges and the league. Or it could have been a case similar to Turnback cave. And, honestly, I think it's better that way. Nothing against the islands, but there already are enough warps without them.

I would like to see the methodology they used to chart out all the loading zones, after all it seems like pure memorization with no logic. Not for the faint of heart.

pokemon is coded quite well to handle the sheer insanity of mods that abuse its game functions

Nah, the mods are coded well. The older pokemon games are held together by paper clips and a piece of string

They already kind of are. You just get the legendary and best everyone with it. The appeal of the map randomizer is a tad different from nuzlockes

They both use the same tracker and the same randomized game, so everytime they find something it benefits them both. So it could be twice as fast to check everything if they efficiently work together.
