Question is, did she reach puberty? on average, kids in that time started puberty when they were around 10-12, certainly not nine. So no, she didn't start puberty yet. Also, you don't fully develop when you start puberty, its done when you finish puberty which takes additional 2 or more years. But since quran allows you to divorce prepubescent girls, its more then enough evidence to prove that she was indeed prepubescent when Mohammad did the deed with her. This wouldn't be a problem for many if he didn't claim to be pattern of conduct for all mankind, which most muslims accept him as. Heck you can't even call yourself a muslim unless you accept everything about him.
