And the thing is, with these passive players, i run into SO many people that are cowards and run at all times and farm PDs. And most of these people RQ when i finish them with an ult. In the middle of the ult, they leave or reset, making the 3rd down entirely useless. Its so annoying. This game needs punishment for passuve players like debuffs to speed and dodges, and the game NEEDS to punish people that leave or reset in the middle of a match.
imagine they make a mechanic when they’re passive for too long, they throw like trash out of nowhere like drinking cups, food, etc, then the passive player slowly takes bit of damage because of it. (yk like a bad sports match happening and people react in dissatisfaction and aggression) That’ll be quite funny😅
a game called YOMI hustle has a feature called sadness which makes you take damage when you avoid fighting, i think implementing some form of this in ubg would really help it
@@croddysosdy3458 yeah, but there isn't something like a point system with rounds If they don't add this, the sadness mechanic would be a good addition
@@boredboi6279 yeah especially when you reach 21-24k elo fk hell most of them are sweaty hitman users who plays passive the entire game thats why i stopped at 22k cuz i always gets match up with a 24k elo passive hitman user
I’ve met several people like this. I really don’t understand how someone can be so bad and so stupid, that they’d have to resort to this. Sure, if you want to sweat to beat a world champ or something, it makes some sense. But backdash spamming and pd fishing is so trashy. And then having the nerve to gloat or celebrate getting a kd, and saying “there ya go” when you lose? That’s crazy. Like actually, go touch grass. If your goal is to be annoying by doing that, then you succeeded. Passive play is ruining this game so bad lmao. Pro servers really need to be a thing, so it filters out some of the sweaty players from casual servers.
constantly backdashing is annoying, but easy to counter, that's the point of the video. people have no reason to use it even against good players because they can shut it down and punish you for it very easily
There was a time when I was playing UBG, and then i thought "just one more match and then I'll go to bed", I got in the ring and guess what I was fighting against. A Hitman user. It was 10 o'clock at night (and I'm not kidding) a match that was supposed to last less than 10 minutes went on until 10:30p.m. because the only thing he knew how to do was s + spacebar and wait for me to do something before he could attack. And there are still players who have the audacity to call this a "Playstyle". In short, Hitman doesn't need a nerf or a buff, IT NEEDS A REWORK ASAP
I'm an aggressive charge main here, and I am a big fan of boxing ever since. that's why this game got me hooked. I hate to sound like a nerd but This boxing game on Roblox which based on "Hajime no Ippo." Sure, it’s got some wild, unrealistic moves, but at its core, it’s still a boxing game. And boxing isn't just about throwing punches; it's about strategy, making your opponent mess up, and then countering. If you're playing passively and running around looking for counters, that's a legit tactic. You're supposed to frustrate your opponent and force them to make mistakes. It’s a mental game too. The essence of boxing involves a lot of strategy, including waiting for the right moment to strike. and The game captures that aspect, even with its over-the-top moves. So, if you’re getting frustrated with passive players, maybe you need to rethink your approach. It's still a boxing game. just adapt or get left behind. (this is only my personal opinion and I have no hate towards anyone or the video itself🤝🏻) (ik I'm about to get smoked here😭😭)
That's the thing, passive would've been more fun and useful if it isn't just spamming the same backdash again and again, it's not smart at all, it's just refusing to play the game and acting like you won
I really agree, I'm an aggressive player but now a days I notice many Garbage Players using Hitman in ranked mode just to raised their rank and they play very boring and running. Same goes to Wolf users spamming m2+m2 just to raised their ranked. Anyway, i'm a long time Hitman user to the point I reach 900+ KOs but i did not play passive and I already quit using Hitman.
Trife, I truly understand where your coming from, matter fact, I played for a year, and I recently quit. The game wasn’t good for my health and it made me angry due to the fact that there were way to many people playing the way you are talking about. This game made me quit it, the amount of people playing hella passive and the abuse to the mechanics of the game was not ok.
I nearly quit like ya but i trained and now im at diamond level (17k) using ippo and pure agressive.Passive players lose their minds when they cant use their m2 (since most passive style deals low block dmg).
@@catslowgamindoesn’t get better at 20k (where I’m at rn) all that happens is that they all use hitman and pd fish even harder, I can’t even pd them since they don’t m1 which makes lugger virtually useless (which is the style I main)
I met a few too many ultra passive players... Its too much... They strike you mentally and physically, i would win the match but at a cost of negative brain cells 💀💀💀💀
I fought a passive Kimura yesterday, It was horrible, I had to chase him, deal with the slowdown and try to be as close as possible, In the end I ended up losing 3-2 and it was the most boring and annoying fight I have ever had, I really don't understand those people.
I fought somebody like this, except i was using shotgun and he was using bullet. He kept backdashing non-stop, and kept spamming his counter m2 since i was shotgun, and in the end I still won, then he called me a spammer and left. The best part is that he was saying ez every round he won before that, and the fact that he SHOULD have won since bullet demolishes shotgun
I've had those encounters with these dudes. Very pathetic people. I'm a Turtle main and yet there's still something wrong that I do even though they backdash the whole game just to run time. Now I also use passive play too, but I don't backdash nonsensically just for the sake of backdashing. Shit, even against Slugger m2, I've used my sidedashes more and I don't even cherry pick my fights. These people just make outboxing look bad with how much they abuse the value of time.
How I deal with passive play: PD Fishing - Feinting/Trife FD Bait Backdash - Walking/Boosted FD Slow M1s for no reason - PD Fishing Freedom Style - Do not engage
@@KimuraEnjoyer perfect dodge fishing is wait for your opponent to throw an attack and dodging it. the trife front dash bait is front dashing during an m1 string to bait opponents into dashing, then attacking again
Man when this bullshit happens I play passive back. I’m a turtle main so I really don’t give a flying fuck if they hit me a lil bit. So annoying when they play like that.
I agree, this shit's really bad. I like playing passive since that's how I operate, but even I know something's gotta be done to make it a legitimate strategy instead of it being "tag you're it" the whole game. I'm sick of it.
So what if the devs try adding a point system for everytime a player lands a punch on each other which leads to gaining a point for each player, along with having a 3-min long timer per round to avoid players running away endlessly in the game, this then favors the more active player for landing more hits within 3-minutes on the opponent, therefore winning them the match. You know just like the boxing rules in the anime. This is all just a concept tho dunno if it would work out in game.
I hate that this kind of gameplay worked against me, ran into a smash that was in the second red rank who ONLY stood around, back dashed, and m2'd after fishing for a perfect dodge for so long never starting any interactions besides walk up and stare, it was actually so dumb.
i don't know why, though it's probably just me , but sometimes it gets to the point where even winning against somebody doesn't feel good in ubg, no matter whether or not they're better or worse.
been fighting passive players ever since the release of the game, no matter how much you guys cry about these type of players, u cant do nothing about it cause being a passive player applies to any other game, to win you just have to change your playstyle and find different ways to win, this test how smart or clever you are when it comes to mind games like this. You dont adapt but you out smart and become unpredictable, and again this applies to all kind of games.
i agree when i added my opinion on how to stop spamming back dash even after you front dash to them in game suggestions the passive players hated it and ye
its easy to counter, just predict when their backdash or side dash will happen and front dash simultaneously with their backdash(only work on backdash) or,m1 when they are side dashing. It works really well to me,i got from 15000 rt to 21000 rt.
I really wish they would put a timer so that it would prevent passive players stalling the game I fought against a passive hitman once and I spent an entire hour chasing him and everytime I would try to lure him he would just stay put in one spot waiting for me to come close and ofc I lost and he had the audacity to say im boring to fight against.....
And then they add a score if it's a tie to be balanced like a counter in the board in the ring.. But as a Hitman , I'm treating it like a "read the situation" kind of style , if im low and about to lose , I switch to a lore accurate Mashiba , if I'm dominating , I'll continue on pressuring
I’ve been playing this game for a week now so I don’t know much but can’t you just dash forward as he back dashes? That’s what I do and it seems to work :0
You all keep addressing the issue at hand and not the root problem. The main reason why we have these "people" playing like this is because of high ranked ELO, the further you get higher into the game the more consistent and patient someone is to dodge, you'll find these players usually at diamond three or red rank and those type of people will eventually have so much of an increased amount of patience to either wait for you to dodge and punish when you dodge (If they feint you just roll back immediately dunno why people think its so hard to do this) or they wait for such an amount of time it literally feels inhuman to know how to fight these people. It's because of either way of these two choices that I've just listed people just hold s+f and wait to dodge because in all honesty you way better off playing safe by being passive. Sure I can already see the argument of someone saying "the game is meant to be way more rewarding by being aggressive", which is true I agree with. Hell I play charge and hands low quite often playing as aggressive as I can without attempting to just ram my head into a wall. What I mean by this is that yeah of course I'm gonna play aggressive but I still know how to be aggressive at the right time. (I don't wanna see someone with some bullshit excuse of this mental gymnastics of black and white arguments) Coming back case in point, people who I'd say from my perspective "hold S" is because of people who again play at higher ELO and so these newer players when they see these players who're say diamond or above just dodge everything insight. It also translates to them holding S and being passive because for one they only need to focus on one variable that's a threat to them so by eliminating any other variables (Such as feints and punches) and putting in effort into options that literally don't hurt you whatsoever at all. (Yes I'm aware they added the speed debuff to players who hold S but lets be honest here the fact this video exists says otherwise to that nerf trying so hard to play as a countermeasure) Honestly It's so simple to look at something so objectively and see how if you either A put in an option that has way decent to good reward (playstyle of course not the in game boxing styles) with no risk, or B put in another option that's way more rewarding in terms of gameplay with little to some risk and reward factor. (Best example I can think of is Ironfist to Takamura at one point of the game when Ironfist just released)
@@mynameisnotimportant286 to be honest, i dont have much time to read and respond to big paragraphs like these man, but i damn well have the time to appreciate support from my fans like this i'll get around to it though
the main problem is not the dashes it’s the perfect dodge ever since the dodges have been buff and nerfed for a aggressive play it didn’t change anything about perfect dodges value it’s the sole reason why passive play is king due to how much reward you get from perfect dodge and the reason why styles like freedom or hawk are used more often because they can abuse it
@@colinstracener4370Hitman is A very good passive-agressive with its pressure.Freedom is not a very good agressive style.Slugger is also passive agressive. The 3 AGRESSIVE styles prob are smash charge and ippo lol.Hitman passive-agressive is insanely good.Wayy better than passive bro.
ubg should add tension meter for guilty gear, it punishes you for avoiding interactions and rewards you for anything as small as simply walking forward, rewards for aggression and punishment for passive. Only question is, what rewards will you get?
Dude this only happened to me whenever i felt bored and felt like using hawk it was so annoying too cause i don't just wanna play using sway back and the range on hawk prevented me from even being able to land a hit on passive idiots like this the only time i start playing like this is whenever im in a 2-2 situation and its boring asf
Well for some starters , some players are basically using mobile , but as a mobile player , i am disgusted when someone with an offensive style playing passive , that basically ruins the whole reason why its a infighter style / offensive style.
This reminds me of a match I had against a very passive and PD fishing turtle player while I was playing bullet. It was the most satisfying win I had that day.
You caught me:( man I know how it feels to do this I have experienced this and whenever I play aggressive I get 1-3 by any one and I have always played passive since I played ubg for the first time I just like to out box ppl and whenever I play ippo or charge I play passive and somehow I 3-2 ppls so idk what to do:(
U need to learn to pd.Try to pressure them by dodging every m2s of them.Passive styles suck when they cant use their m2.Unless theyre also infighters.Dont be agressive blindly tho.Try to be passive-agressive.Its a bit better than pure agression.Unless u can dodge at 22k+ then u can play PURE AGRESSIVE
They should make the boxing ring alot smaller so when people don't want to be aggressive and keep back dashing they will be force to be aggressive, and am not bais if you have a better idea please share it
I have one question, I used hands low for a long time ( almost getting its 2 mastery title ) but I decided to use long guard ( I think it's gameplay a lot better than hitman ), should I keep hands low or long guard ?
Alright how about this. There will be a timer IF the opponent avoid fighting 20 seconds ago and running away. The point system will count all punches earlier and the timer is 1 minute. Then maybe apply any debuff (stamina or slow debuff) next round. If both players are passive then maybe count how many dashes they did and increase debuff based on those
Today litterally i was fighting with a runner and m2 spammer after i lose i told him that he keeps running litterally an random 4k knckdown player took his side and tell me t's y fault that i keep chasing him and i can't read his patterns i didn't expect to get this kind of compliment from high kd players😔.This passove players are ruining game plays not only that it feels so frustrating when they catch u but u can't catch them😖
Fought two freedoms the other day playing like this, they both sat on flicker the whole time except I'm 90% sure the one had scripts or something, I couldn't hit him no matter what I did, it's getting repetitive at this point
Ngl the player i hate the most is where you fight a toxic and he actually good at the game he the highest can pd everything even m1 making it not possible to kill i fight one of these and it really annoys me till this day
Passive players are so bad bro be like losing 10 times in a row and as soon he wins he will talk absolute trash Like geez they use mostly fucking freedom, hawk, hitman
Well how to counterplay passive playstyle ????? Istg i lost my sanity fighting passive players Like please anyone tell me how to counter the passive losers???
Well i fought a passive HITMAN running away the whole match it was really hard to hit him with even him having a long range so i lost the match then i had to beat him using kimura and finally he took the L and rage quit i wastes 10 mins in this fight
