You made quite a comeback this year Strobenz! You nailed it with the illusions on Strobenz Desert 3 and making Blissful Block have elements from Punch City and District 65, as well as making it so you take different routes each lap!

I really hope there's future for tracks with sections, after seeing n64 RR here
the reason no one really does section based lap counting is because it breaks the position tracker online. that bug has been (mostly?) fixed in the latest ctgp update, so I think more people might implement it in the future now that it works outside of just offline play
I really appreciate these showcases because sometimes i find banger tracks that i completely missed. Every track here is Fantastic! Really impressed with how the N64 Rainbow Road got Sections working! The Scorch Trials looks incredible! GDL Haunted Cemetery is also a banger! Excellent work to everyone! Also the fact that you used Touhou music for ZPL Peaks and i instantly recognized it is hillarious lmao
@therockinggoomba I liked that he used it as well at the end. Plain Asia is literally my favorite song of all time at the moment and I'm not really an anime person at all, but I only like it because it makes me feel happy and I feel nostalgic whenever I listen to it. I see a lot of good memories of the past when I listen to it and I have liked Plain Asia since I first heard it a few years back.

Strobenz Desert 3 and Blissful Block are my favorites in this video because I have always liked a lot of Strobenz's old tracks, like Helado Mountain, Strobenz Desert 1, and District 65. I'm glad to see his comeback sooner than later. I really hope somebody, if anyone, remakes Helado Mountain back into a snow track because I have felt bitter and sad ever since Shadow turned my favorite ever snow track into a volcanic paradise. Strobenz Desert 1 I have always enjoyed because it was so good for its time and I love all the different routes and driving on invisible road.
simple, you can just put multiple lap counting checkpoints throughout the course. I think you also have to have the same number of key checkpoints per section but I'm not certain on that. the reason more people don't do it is because it breaks the position tracker online, it puts everyone in first place once they reach the next section
@@G-Force7So, this only ideal for solo play instead of multiplayer. It is still a step up in modding, just someone needs to figure out the other half of the problem.

This will never get into CTGP, but if it did, I would actually like it because it's the perfect length, doesn't look ugly at all, the mushrooms are in less dirty positions, and it's made by potentially the greatest custom track creator of all time.
@@jclkaytwo Technically the length is different because now it’s only 2 laps this version and the mushroom positions look nicer to me because on the current version, the normal route has some of them in dirty spots in my opinion.
@@LiamDeege hahaha, don't worry, I took that into account and that's why in the download file, I included two versions, one with the lap system, and another with two laps In any case, the first one cannot be used because it breaks the online
Helado Mountain and Strobenz Desert 1 are my favorite tracks that Strobenz made years ago. They are still in my top 10 favorite custom tracks of all time because they were my favorite snow and desert tracks ever because in the vanilla game, Dry Dry Ruins and Sherbet Land are my 2 least favorite tracks and seeing those 2 custom tracks for the first time made me feel alive. I really want somebody to turn Helado Mountain back into a snow track because I have never liked the one by Shadow.
