8:55 you have a solid collection, beautiful library, May I make a small suggestion on the lighting? Chase: “sure!” Okay, get rid of the fluorescent bulbs and switch to a warmer bulb. Kinda like a living room lamp type light. Your collection will look more at home. Trust me. The fluorescent lighting makes it seem more like a business move and less like a gaming room

Dan is a great dude, I run into him at local stores sometimes. That Panic Restaurant is a great piece. I picked up a Mint sealed copy at a local store myself, but sold it back when it was a $75 game, really wish I had held onto it.

I thought it was ridiculous that he was offering $500 the Nintendo Power magazine, but according to ebay sold auctions, a copy of this issue with the envelope, letter, and everything sold in December 2023 for $3,000. and it wasn't even as nice as Dan's copy. Whoa!

Chase you can get that Magazine pressed like they do Comic Books in fact you def should have it pressed it will make the grade higher. I know a Presser who could fix that cvr so you would never known it was crunched like it is.

Crazy to think you got that Nintendo Power free sample with sleeve for 500 considering a graded 9.8 free poster recently sold for 108k. Be interesting to see what yours comes back graded as ;)

Man, at one point I had 12 copies of that Nintendo Power #1 magazine. As a kid I used to send in multiples of those cards you'd get with early 1985+ games (mostly the black box games). The ones that said "Join the Nintendo Fun Club Today". I would send them all in with different first names. My brothers, my friends, my dog, and so on. The mailman was actually really angry with me! :P So anyway, I had multiple copies of Nintendo Fun Club too. I still have some of those. All are mint because they were mailed in a sealed envelope (instead of just the single paper newsletter).. So I had more copies of each as they went on (for example, 2x copies of #1 FCN, 4x copies of #3, and 12x copies by the end (#7), Then all of the Issue #1 Sample Copy NP started showing up.. I would bring them to school and give them away to friends. Many kids in school called me Mr. Nintendo. :) I kind of wish I saved more though. Haha.. I did keep 3 minty copies of NP #1, and 2x copies of Fun Club News 1-7. plus all 285 copies of NP so I can't complain. It was a fun run.

Basically gave your that Kid Icarus , definitely pays to know your variants and how much condition factors into NES stuff. Great buys all around, you should be able to sell what you don’t want, keep what you do for free and make a little bit of money. These are the best type of deals

PriceCharting is a pretty good starting point, but they don't take the condition into consideration, and they aren't accurate when it comes to Greatest Hits/Player's Choice/etc.. copies of games, which would be very hard to make sense of. Maybe someday advanced A.I. could get this more accurate.

I live in Ga. Im curious what state is Chase in? Prices here are horrible and really no good game stores or collectors. It seems like the best places are midwest? He in Texas or Arkansas or somewhere close?

I will never for the life of me not understand why Square Enix (who bought Taito just under 20 years ago) doesn't compile all of these late NES Taito games into a collection and sell them. They don't see ANY of the money spent on these NES classics on the secondary market. The only ones I would think that might be an issue are the Flintstone and Jetson games as those are the only licensed ones, but it can't be THAT expensive to license them if Konami was willing and able to do it for TMNT, a more active IP than Flintstones and Jetsons.

That is a lot of money for video games but they probably worth it cause I collect comic books and some of them go for a ton of money but the only video games I want are Zelda Ocarina of Time N64 sealed and Marvel vs Capcom sealed for ps 1 but they cost a ton as well but maybe one day.

My most treasured games lost about 40% of its price when they remade them on switch . My copy of pearl and diamond cib mint went from 120$ to about 70-80$ Collecting Is a dangerous game . Older games are where it's at. Way more room for mistakes . Super nintendo and turbo graphics won't get any cheaper

Awesome stuff but just one man's opinion don't get the magazine graded because it's going to come back a Worse grade than you want and then you're just going to be mad at the whole magazine because it's in worse shape than you thought it was just keep it and speculate on how great you think it is because when something comes back worse than you thought it makes you hate that piece more than you did
