The reveal of the new ACE SPEC is basically TPCi 's way of telling everyone that Computer Search will never be reprinted.

That's more or less true, but the new Ace Spec, Secret Box, is arguably better, if only because it gets you 4 cards into your hand. If you can search it early enough (something like Arven or Irida come to mind, not sure if Poke Stop is rotating or not), it can help to set up your plays extremely easily by getting you the 4 trainers you need. Don't get me wrong, Computer Search would be great if it got reprinted (since being able to search for anything is obviously great), but Secret Box letting you get 4 cards if you play it is just better

Luxray is the kind of card design I like. Stage 2s really do need attacks with either great effects or hit key damage benchmarks, especially rule box Stage 2s. Unfair Stamp + Luxray is a nasty combo that basically forces your opponent to topdeck their recovery.

@breadaholic6445 3 darkness is a little harder to get on reliably than 2 colorless, though it is a Stage 1. You can't really use it as a main attacker either since it can't even 2HKO most Stage 2 ex. A pity Dynamotor Flaafy just rotated out, it would have made cycling the second attack super easy.

That’s what I don’t like. There are pokemon I struggle a little bit since they do 260 damage, doing even 10 less looks way more unappealing

Secret Box in Charizard ex can actually go crazy: - Nest Ball to get Rotom V (if it's not out already) - Forest Seal Stone on the Rotom V to get a card you want (maybe the Charizard ex) - any supporter (maybe Arven to get candy) - Collapsed Stadium to remove the Rotom V from play

Indeed. We'll see the variants sooner or later. You can use that do do basically anything and everything, but it still has counters to it in terms of setup. We'll see how this goes.

This new card looks REALLY good for my walking wake deck. Still not planning to run forest seal stone with palkia vstar having such a good ability (was running fss but dropped it) but it'll never hurt to get an ancient booster, brute bonnet, sadas vitality, and a stadium.

That ace spec is kinda on par with prime catcher or even better in some circumstances. It’s an absolutely broken card that could set up your entire team first turn.

For Lugia decks: Stadium: pokestop Supporter: ciphermaniac Item and tool as needed. Ciphermaniac two chops to top of deck, then use pokestop to discard them. 😎

Secret box does wonders for banette ex you grab Salvatore the jungle stadium a way to brute bonnet and ancient booster then you go turn one item lock for 60 or 80 if you get radiant sneasler out bearing in mind because this is hypothetically turn one you also have access to squawkabilly

ciphermaniac and pokestop goes crazy with this. Imagine being able to snowball a single card into any 3 items and a tool card. I didn't think I'd see a card get printed that would be more powerful than that stamp ace spec, but here we are.

That ace spec has echoes of Guzma & Hala. It might be *too* good if it let you search for a special energy instead of an item and supporter, because then you could really get set up.

I have a "toxic" setup darkness deck that uses radiant Sneasler, quagsire EX, toclxicroak ex, roaring Moon and brute bonnet. This new ace spec is going to really improve it!

Handy Fan could be a solid tech into Charizard since you normally only attach 2 energy to a Zard. It isn’t going to kill the deck by any means, but decks that struggle against it might be able to slow the deck down a bit

Expanded and eternal are going to appreciate the competition for ace spec between computer search and secret box. Box is simultaneously better and worse than CS and might break exeggcute.

i think these decks can be useful on the ace spec secret box -Ancient Box (The roaring moons and Koraidons) -Chien Pao (Yes, for as long as you can discard water energies and you be fine) -Lugia Vstar (Obviously for Archeops) Can also be good on zard ex or any fire themed decks If i miss something, tell me

I feel like Master Ball is extremely disappointing as an item. Would be cool if it searches your deck for any Pokémon (including evolution) and puts it straight in the active spot but paralyses it so it still requires 2 switches or some kind of heal to use it.

I don't get it, isn't the new one always strictly better than computer search? For a single extra discard you can search one of each of all the types of cards that there are except energies. To me this seems superior except on the rare instance where you want to find a specific special energy. Am I missing something?

I wish they would make a Pokemon stadium or a Pokemon supporter as an a-spec.. since they've already done a special energy already... Ask for an aspect Pokemon probably not.. As for the a-spec stadium.. very powerful effect.. and it would have an effect that says it cannot be discarded by another stadium..

Luxray EX is better than the V both have 1 RC. Both have the same first atk cost ..both discard one card from your opponent's hand.. The V version. Discards one trainer card in their hand. The EX version discards any one card of your choosing.. The V version does 30 damagefor two colorless The EX version does 120 for two C The second atk on the V is 120 lightning lightning colorless.. and says paralyzed the opponent's active Pokemon. The EX version does more damage for starting two lightning energy. And costs only 2 L.. and The ex has way more HP .for a stage 2. Sure the other one is a basic Honestly.. Both are good The V version is played in Snorlax
