Sad thing is, most of these controversies are not serious but just manufactured bs with no reason nor understanding of the subject. It's just a shame that despite with the abundance of information at one's fingertips, many choose to reject and run away from reality and into a fantasy so something fits their narrative.

Every new generation is filled with people who simultaneously feel more enlightened than their predecessors and while young are blind to their own prejudices: if something makes them uncomfortable they presume a moral imperative is responsible.
One thing that these types of situations expose is the true nature of these peoples obsessions. You see, they don’t actually care about the character or the story they just want another shiny bauble to show off. Like Bridget in Guility Gear or Yamato from One Piece, people who push the gender narratives almost never actually talk about liking the character or their story, just the fact that they are the label they are seeking to push. The character is a purse puppy to them, worn like an accessory to be shown off until they find the next thing to latch onto. The same thing with Yuri/Yaoi shippers too, they often don’t care about the story, just about their own headcanons about the characters.
While I do agree with some of your points because sometimes people do a lot of reaching to push their headcannons, Bridget is not one of those cases. it's rather ironic that these are the same people who claim they are against gender norms. like the anime is literally going against gender norms by having a male character dress in female clothing while still identifying as a male. however to these people any male who dresses in female clothing is immediately trans which is a very rigid way of seeing gender roles. they might as well say only girls get to dress in pink because pink is a girl's color.

I have broad shoulders and an androgynous face so it's easy for me to "pass," even when my hair was long enough to reach my arse. Most of the time I would laugh it off, with only one or two instances I can remember of me getting upset and both were due to outside factors. One time was some older guys being overly friendly with my friends, back when we were all in highschool and attending a Con, and it creeped me out. They mistook me for a guy because I was in my Akatsuki Kisame get-up, and I angrily told them I was a girl and told my friends we needed to leave. My acting up and seeming 'offended' got my friends to leave with me, but I was more upset with the situation than the "hey are you with that guy"" comments. The second time my hair was short and it was autumn. I had a tuque on and a thick jacket cause I get cold easy. A cop stopped me and demanded to know where my helmet was. Mine had recently cracked down the center and was too damaged to use. At the time I only had a bike to travel. I told the cop "I'm going to buy a new one right now, mine got cracked." And the Moment he heard my voice he went from aggressive and angry to confused then to embarrassed. He said "have a nice day, miss." Then drove off. At a summer recreational center where we had to wear uniforms anyway, I ended up befriending a boy who was surprisingly okay playing games like House and such with me each day. One day, my uniform was dirty so I just wore a blouse that happened to be the same color as it and he asked me why I was wearing girl clothes. She had a conservative mom, his parents give more attention to his little male brother and she was really introduced into a christian community, majority of them are liberal young people, but obviously, the leaders are elder people So probably years of "you act like a boy" and the LGBT propaganda washed her brain with the modern stereotypes of feminity Pds: women in the past, were not femenine, even if they were households
This does raise a few points of inquiry. In this day where everyone MUST know what every other person's personal pronouns as well as every other identifier, you don't hear about the term "transvestite" anymore. Even after I make this point clear so many times that if anyone played a drinking game about me saying it, their ghosts would even be dead from alcohol poisoning.
otoko-no-ko generally means "boy" 男の子 (male child). When you spell it with "男の娘" however, it's still pronounced otoko-no-ko but the last "ko" uses the kanji for daughter/girl - so it's slang for femboy.
@@SMCwasTakenPitch accent only applies to Chinese. Kanji are Japanese, and the only way to tell the difference verbally is to understand the context the word is spoken in. This is one of the reasons that misunderstandings and wordplay are a huge part of Japanese comedy and writing. Remember, Japanese is syllabaic - they don't do individual letters like us Westerners do.
@@SMCwasTaken Not really, no. Standard Japanese doesn't really use pitch accents; as far as I know, only regional dialects tend to make them important in any way.
The LGBT community has always been like this, they do everything they say shouldn’t be done, and are one of the least tolerant communities. That’s why a lot of gays, lesbian, etc don’t even wanna associate with them
How much y'all when this anime does get an English dub localizers and English VAs are going to go against the original anime and manga place your bets in the reply
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again. A male character cross dressing or being in drag, or just liking to wear feminine looking clothes does NOT make him transgender or gay. In fact, I would say a male character dressing up in a dress and looking great doing so goes against gender stereotypes and gender norms, which I think is better than the transgender headcanoning people are doing, which is intentional stereotyping disguised as “diversity,” and “inclusivity.” Nothing wrong with LGBT+ headcanons, just be careful when you’re stereotyping.
@@melantharosewoodI’m gonna assume you’re talking about anime and manga because there is more disabled representation than any other kind in western media. If you’re looking for anime or manga then obviously they are gonna have some super power, nobody wants to watch some dude in a wheel chair wheel around in an action shonen ☠️
Mmm, just love that editing wikipedia articles when personal feelings about something are rebuffed is becoming more popular than the usual. A reeeeeeaaal normal and measured response to opposed beliefs on a given subject. Upside-down smile emote.
Some people seem to want to forget that some people like crossdressing. It does not inheitatly make you trans/gay/whatever. Some people just want to be, in their eyes, pretty, or handsome. They don't have to conform to your political bias, or your personal preference. I find sundresses quite attractive on girls. I'm not about to get angry that a girl is walking by in tank top and jeans.
Yeah, it's laughable how far they went with the whole trans stuff. Tomboy? "Your not a girl, you a boy" Metrosexual? "Your not a boy, you are a girl" no, shades of grey people. It's a Spectrum.
it was only a spectrum where they can take advantage of it. gender nonconformation only helps when they say so. there should be nothing wrong with someone dressing up how they wish in this context, buuut for them, of course it is.
I swear to god, as a bisexual man I have only seen the same ammount of hate and discrimination that I've seen within the LGBTQ+ community coming from the "Christian" community. "If it's not by my rules you ain't doing it right!!!" applies perfectly for both
I loath it so much my brother is a fem-boy and gay. He deleted all his social media a while back because he couldn't deal with people telling him that he is actually trans because gay+crossdressing=trans to them. So much about breaking the gender norms and freedom of self...
They hold such a dogmatic view on the trans topic they literally spout misogynistic, and homophobic talking points. Gotta love the political horseshoe.
That same alphabet community did the same thing to Vivian in Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door. I guess Japan doesn't know about their own subcultures.
@@skootergirl22he's not. He was FORCED to wear girl's clothing. The fact the T community forced the devs to make him have the bad ending where he accepts being groomed, is PDFILIA.
For anyone wondering, Yes, Otokonoko does mean "Male Girl" or sometimes "Son daughter" which is a word used to describe most often a young boy who looks like a young girl and tends to be very cute. Examples of this are Felix from Re:Zero, or Astolfo from the Fate Series. Technically the word can mean anyone who is a man who looks more like a women but in recent times the word has more often been used for cute young men or boys with feminine features This is not to be mistaken with the word Okama which is more a man who dresses like a women (And does not need the man to look like a women to do so) And is often used for comedic effect. Examples of this is like Ivonkov from One Piece, or a favorite of mine the False Magical Girl from The Great Jahy Japanese does not have an exact word for transgender, and as such uses a loan word which to anyone wondering is the act of taking a word not part of the native language and using it. In this case, the word Transgender in japanese is simply Toransujenda as the do not have their own word for this. If you do not see Toransujenda (Which if ever written in japanese would be written using Katakana as it is a foreign word) then that character is not Trans what so ever. The more you know
