Purposely throw and lose games until they drop to high GC on their main or an alternate account (hopefully their alt is already ranked to high GC this season) they own so they can make a video? That isn't fair on their teammates nor is it ''morally'' better than just making a new account to reach SSL. Anyway high GC isn't going to be much different to SSL as it's only 1 or 2 ranks away anyway. It'll be like 1 video or maybe 2 videos the longest. Imo it would defeat the purpose of seeing a clear steady progression of skill over the course of ranking up and what to do and not to do in each rank which people like.

Idk if anyone has said this but the Fennec and Dingo are both have designs that line up with the actual hit box. While the octane is what most of us are use to these cars have a design that graphically shows us a more accurate hit box. This allows top players to make any touch with more consistency. Would not be surprised to see octane become obsolete in competitive play as more of these boxy car designs are released.

the dingo is like the fennec but instead of hatchback its a sedan, so its like a longer fennec but also dominus and octane combined. if I'm not wrong, longer cars have more flick power than the shorter ones; example between octane and dominus, dominus would flick harder. that's why the dingo is now certified as the best car in the game. plus its a skyline 2000gtr which makes it 10x better.

The hit box is the octane hit box. Same shape and size etc. The flicks would be the same as any other octane hitbox rig. The advantage though is how it visually lines up with the hitbox compared to say the octane or even the fennec.

Legit question, if it has the octane hitbox then doesn't it means that it will hit the same as the octane? Like if the hitbox didnt' change then the hits should be the same, right?

Yes the hits would be the same if he controlled his car the same way, but he probably won’t because he’s seeing something different. The difference between the visual and the hitbox affects how you play (so people say “how it feels”). Also a side note that has way less impact than placebo, I presume, is when the entire car is shorter or thinner than another car same hitbox you have more vision. Also Squishy at least behaves like he does not know the hitbox of new cars so placebo may have an even greater affect when he presumes for example the Aston Martin is a longer hitbox than Octane (which I think all other hitboxes are longer.)

In my opinion the only real factor for how a car performs (other than which hit ox it uses, most people prefer octane hit box) is how well the car visually fits it’s hit box. If this car fits the hit box really well due to how boxy it is then I can definitely see it being a popular, widely used car. That said, I don’t have the car so not like I can test it myself.

The center of mass is directly below the hood. So it’s visually very accurate of how the ball would hit the level curve function of the surface… So the ball bounces nice.

ROAD HOG :) That's the one I use because it matches the hitbox so well. I think it's even better for new players to get use to dribbling and such. Ps...don't you think that "how it feels" is all a mental thing? Isn't the hitbox vs the model the only thing that's ACTUALLY different to the gameplay? I used the Marauder for a while then found the Road Hog was even better.

Can someone explain to me what the actual difference is? People keep saying it has heavy touches, and the shape is nice. But if it has an Octane hitbox, and every other stat is virtually unnoticeable, wouldn't any real difference be purely in one's head? I've always been confused by this. No offense, just curious.

When you play with a car, you can't see the hitbox. They're basically just saying that this specific skin of the hitbox makes it easier to know where on the car to hit the ball. So it is in their head, but it's also a case of this car's visual cues working for more powerful shots on the same hitbox.

Yeah, so fennec, octane, this car, and a few others all have the same hitbox so in theory should all "feel" and play the same. The problem is the cars design doesn't actually match the exact hitbox that makes contact with the car. The whole idea of heavier touches is mental, but in the way that the design more closely matches the rectangular hitbox of the car, making it easier to see where the cars contact points actually are, not just where the cars design makes it seem. This results in better control and contact because it is visually easier to see exactly where the car is hitting the ball.
