This is the state of master duel, they should just ban the ishizu cards because this is getting ridiculous

it's a good thing surrendering takes away any mission progress and rewards.

This argument is so dumb man, regardless of what deck you're playing, if the opponent has lethal or can find a way to kill you, you might as well surrender instead of looking at the guy beating you and wasting time for no reason

@@tidalfront2360 if you're in the interest of time, that's a mute point for the deck that combos for 5 minutes in its own turn and then the same on yours. "Wasting timer for no reason" it was said earlier in this thread that there is a reason to take the hit because surrendering loses you mission progress etc. Also, surrendering during the battle phase to just not take the hit is sad and hurts people trying to get missions that require you to deal damage or destroy cards. It's just salt and I stand by my first comment

Yep with Cubics, you brick 50% of the time, 20% you win and with the remaining 30% your op just quits (after 5 min of set up on their turn), even though you don't have game or followup they just presume they will be OTK'd. Honestly god help the yugioh community if Cubics ever get consistancy support, or just a way to finally summon it's Fusion Boss mon. (Would be cool if it had a mon that let u summon any cubic from gy, ignorging restrictions and summon cons but you take dmg equal to it's ATK when it leaves the field (and has some other restriction). This way u could pair it with the normal spell that lets u send any card from extra then half's your LP, then Special the Fusion. The game will be real accurate to the final cubic anime duel.

Meta slaves are build different. Loves to waste your time with tons of irellevant plays/summons and stalls the game as long as possible. But scoops the moment he see no way to win.

If the tear player in the video had any idea what they were doing they would have done the same ☠️ but sometimes you encounter a tear player that likes to click the shiny buttons as soon as they appear

You can't exactly say Cubics are an old deck. Zoodiacs and Spirals, two other historically tier 0 decks, came around the same time as Cubics.

I mean the speed of the game is something that attracted me to play it in the first place, I don't mind watching the opponent doing combos because at the same time I can look at my hand and think of what can I do on my turn to out their board, and sometimes just laugh at them when they play bad But hey what we find entertaining in games is subjective, just like how some yugioh player like a slower paced format, so it is understandable that you don't like it

important counter to tear: do not use the lv 8 kaijus, especially not the turtle (because they can fuse with it), the lv 7s are more awkward to deal with since they can't be fused with usually, and can't just be turned into a baronne with diviner.

lava golem is also better because you need to get rid of both the rulk and the elf to really turn everything off, or just to remove any other tear name so the traps are all offline.

"Back then" the player going first got to draw on their first turn. Choosing to go second was definitely a bad decision 99%, and in the remaining 1% of the time it was still probably a bad decision. A battle phase is not worth being behind on resources the entire duel. You should understand that letting your opponent take a free draw for no reason is incredibly dangerous and if you do it and lose you deserved that loss. Modern Yu-Gi-Oh is much more balanced than old Yu-Gi-Oh. Nowadays there are at least a hundred decks that are viable to a reasonable degree at any given time. Back in 2005 if we had ten viable decks we thought it was a healthy meta. You might think control is overpowered now, but let me remind you there was a point in the game when Delinquent Duo was at THREE. From April to July 2000 you could quite easily start the game without a starting hand. Good fucking luck winning that duel.

they should just revamp the mission system because this game is very different to playing IRL, IRL it is polite to scoop when your opponent has game on board rather than waste 5 more minutes of the 30 minute round, in MD you just wanna go next, but the missions requiring you to "inflict X damage" or "destroy X monsters" and such are totally RNG to actually complete because most opponents don't stick around for them and the paltry reward for loosing without scooping is so tiny it doesn't incentivize the other player to stay.

by comparison the event missions are way easier to clear because you just have to "summon a synchro X times" or "activate a spell card X times" and things which don't usually immediately prompt a scoop.
