If you're wondering what are the monsters called The Dodo monster is "Kulu Ya Ku" The Bat wyvern is "Nargacuga" The Dog is "Odogaron" The Red wyvern is "Rathalos" and Rex is "Deviljho"
"kulu ya ku" should be called a bird wyvern and "nargacuga" should be called a flying wyvern and "odogaron" should be called a fanged wyvern and "rathalos" should also be called flying wyvern and "deviljiho" should be called a brute wyvern. i have the monster hunter world book but sadly deviljiho isnt here but i consider it as a brute wyvern. good job on the classes idea tho its good for the roblox mhw since most kf them doesnt know the names
As a monster hunter fan this game has a lot of potential the models are amazing, and it feels like more and more progress is made everyday. The team has been doing a phenomenal job with the game already even in this very early stage of development
What's interesting about the Monster Hunter franchise is that the monsters always have a bunch of lore regarding their natural behavior and ecology. Kulu Ya Ku is an egg thief, Nargacuga is a stealthy jungle assassin, Odogaron is basically a monstrous honey badger/wolverine, Rathalos has a female counterpart called a Rathian, and Deviljho is known for being hyper aggressive due to its constant hunger. There's a guy called UnnaturalHistoryChannel who's an actual zoologist and specializes in analyzing monsters from Monster Hunter. I highly recommend him.
Here are some fun facts about MH and these monsters. All the monsters in this game, although not the game of origin(except Odogaron), all come specifically from Monster Hunter World and its expansion Iceborne, as it is the MH installment with the best graphics and PvE interaction. The Dodo bird is called Kulu-Ya-Ku, it uses its strong and sharp claws to steal eggs from other wyverns, aswell as small monsters, cracks into them, and eats them. They can sometimes burrow into the ground and pick up rocks, aswell as buried pottery. Nargacuga is the black ominous shadow of a monster. It uses its color pallete to blend in with the night's dark, and strike prey with its the sharp razors on the side of its wings or its tail equipped with multiple razor-sharp quills when they least expect it. You know your time is up when two flashes of red fly across the dark. Odogaron is a big red dog that lives in the lower of the Coral Highlands, the Rotten Vale. As the name suggests, this locale supports the upper system of the Highlands by powering it with life. When monsters realise they are about to die, they migrate to the Rotten Vale. Odogaron is one of the many interesting forms of life that actually *live* there. It sustains itself with the flesh of other monsters (usually dead Legiana carcasses that fall from the Coral Highlands). The Odogaron is very aggressive and territorial, and will usually pick a fight with whatever hunt is near it. It is extremely fast and agile, and its 4 sets of sharp claws on each leg can cause bleeding. Rathalos is the big red and black wyvern. It is the main flagship of MH, appearing in every game, along with its female counterpart, Rathian. The Rathalos are deemed the king of the skies due to their ability to fly long dinstances without stopping. They are in charge of feeding their eggs by bringing in food from the local ecosystem. Rathian is in charge of protecting the nest from intruders, such as small monsters and other Wyverns. They live in high areas and their tail emits poison when being hit by it. Deviljho is a beast. It is a massive threat to any ecosystem it appears in, with its newest addition being in World. Deviljho is equipped with giant lashers and fangs on their lips, and are also known to randomly attack other monsters for no reason. They have tough skin and muscles, that become stronger when enranged. Enraging Deviljho means asking for death, as the beast's muscles start to twitch out of pure rage and starts breathing the highly elemental-susceptible Dragon Breath, of the element of Dragon. Oh yeah, did I say they also have subspecies and variants? Yeah, they're alot stronger and have different elements and attacks. You should definetely check out Monster Hunter one day. The game itself and the expansions are absolutely worth it at full price.
I cannot wait for this game to be available to the public. I am a diehard mon hun fan and hope the maps in this game have exclusive monsters only playable in their official mh area, like the bat nargacuga in jungles, and the red wolf thing named odogaron in graveyard areas like the rotten vale.
Seems intriguing, although I've never played monster hunters either nor have I seen any videos. Still the smooth graphics and unique animations along with species seem fun- I hope to see it one day. Would be nice to see a mostly combat focused creature game where games like cos are dominated by spam breathers and effects. Would be fun to see more balance and properly designed battles.
If you don't like the typical gameplay or style you could always try monster hunter stories instead where you hatch and battle alongside them instead in turn based gameplay
@Brian-xx6jp thank you I'll give it a look sometime. It's less I dislike cos I just simply can't play it for the combat as other then the occasional fun battle or duel between similar powered creatures- most battles are just completely ruled by breath spammers that can melt even tier fives hp into nothing while they can't be hit- or ankle biters with things like the flame effect. I don't particularly hate that but it does remove the game from "a fair balance" in my eyes.
Now this is some wild dedication and passion. I needed something like this. The animations look awesome which is what I love about these games. I'll be looking forward to monsters like Mizutsune, Amatsu, Lagiacrus, and the Tobi-Kadachi if they do decide to add those next. They all have some pretty nice appearances so thats why. According to sneak-peeks I think they are working on the Tigrex next. I've never played any of the monster hunter games though, I honestly should lol it looks like a really, really cool game
If they still supported 3DS and shit I would’ve recommended monster hunter 4 ultimate but that is rare on the market since they stopped producing those games, so I would suggest you monster hunter world for its scenery and realistic setting in a monster hunter universe or monster hunter rise because of gameplay mechanics and the huge array of monsters and equipment to collect
capcom has given cease and desist to past mods for games using monster hunter creatures; regardless if the models/animations were created from scratch or ported/taken from monster hunter games. sadly i wouldnt be surprised if this got that
I just really hope that there are combos in this game and the different regions where different monsters thrive. And also this game has a massive amount of potential.
I’ve played Monster Hunter since i was just a little boy and i love it even now. I like how the devs make everything, even the small details, visible and clear. Hell these monsters even blink
Wow! I actually was considering a Monster Hunter game at some point, but I had no idea how to properly nail it. I think this does it pretty well, though it sounds like there won't really be any hunting, which is what the franchise is about. A battlegrounds game will be cool, though, since lots of Hunters love watching monsters fight in the actual games. Their movesets can get pretty crazy, too. Glad to know this is a thing!
I wouldnt say u cant try the game but i think this game would feel more like a radical spinoff than an actual MH experience. So i do recommend to try an actual MH game and if ur worried about the investement, there is like demos of the more recent games like mh rise sunbreak that are free and do give a bit of the experience, like they lack the preparation part but they do offer the hunting part of the game and even though u can only fight four monsters u still can get a little grasp on how it feels like. but even then i wouldnt say this spinoff is a bad start by any means u should go for it if u want, even im gonna keep an eye on it if it because it looks interesting, but i dont think it would feel like a mh game even though it has mh related things
As someone with like 1,000 hours in monster hunter rise and GenU combined, the potential for this game is insane, like actually insane, specially since these monsters have already beautiful well animated fights in the MH games where they fight each other. P.S, you're right, that kulu-ya-ku (the dodo) has absolutely no chance against that deviljho (the bulky, spiky, t-rex)
Answering two things you questioned or mentioned. In monster hunter kulu ya ku is a bully and egg stealing monster, swift, its heightened intelligence lets it dig up and use rocks as a sheild and weapon, however its a cowardly creature around larger monsters in the games. Nargacuga cant fly (last i checked) but is insanely swift and mainly uses fast dashes and long reaching tail whips to fight.
Okay, the monsters are being listed from left to right, starting with the top row, then the bottom row. Rathalos, the face of the entire Monster Hunter franchise, and likely has been in literally EVERY Monster hunter game since the franchise started. It flies, it breathes fire, and is called "The king of the skies" in Monster hunter. Deviljho, from Monster hunter 3 Tri, it's a "Brute Wyvern", and emphasis on the BRUTE, as it relies on it's brute strength. It will eat ANYTHING that is meat and wipe out entire ecosystems to sate it's hunger. Hence why it is so feared. It is also nicknamed "Death Pickle", because it resembles a pickle. Nargacuga, a Flying Wyvern like Rathalos, but does not breathe fire. Instead, Nargacuga can shoot quills from it's tail, and can inflict a bleeding effect. It can also enter a rage state where it's eyes glow red. I forgot the name of the 4th one in the top row, but it's a "bird wyvern" and it typically eats the eggs of other monsters. It is often prey to larger monsters and gets killed and eaten... Odogaron, a "Fanged wyvern" in Monster hunter, often mistaken for a dog, and some people nicknamed it "Oddie" like the smiling dimwitted dog from Garfield. Odogaron is actually inspired by a Japanese yokai that is a weasel that moves so fast that you don't know you've been cut by it's scythe arms until you see the blood from your cut. That is about as far as I can remember thus far...
Heavily inspired is an understatement, it’s and exact replica of the monsters from monster hunter my guy. But still as a monster hunters fan I like the looks of this, fucking amazing and am happy to see what becomes of it
There could be the chance it's taken down for copyright reasons. it would not be the first time Capcom got in touch with Roblox over games doing stuff like this. I just want to warn everyone that even if it's out for some time, if Capcom were to find out they would probably have it taken down.
Nargacuga (the black wyvern) can actually fly but they rarely do so since they live in dense forests and hide away in trees. It makes sense for the Roblox game not to include flight for the Nargacuga because of this reason and I think it’s a nice detail
The "bat wyvern" is named nargacuga, which is a pseudo wyvern, which means that it does have wings but evolved to use them rather for hunting instead of flying, in older generations of the game it could still glide too
@@angellara7040 I'm not asking that. I'm asking you to delineate the subclass of flying wyverns whose ancestry either comes from or resembles Wyvern Rex on the phylogenetic tree. More specifically, those which now make their lives on four legs instead of two, and whose wings have either grown partially or completely vestigial. Such as: Tigrex, Pariapuria, Akantor, Bogabadorumu, and so on. The world runs on descriptors and definitions, and as I'm sure you'd agree, the Flying Wyvern category is sorely oversaturated with all sorts of exceptions and subgroups. If you don't have an official name for that, it's fine, but if Capcom isn't going to give us one, then until such time as they do, we're going to continue referring to them as such. That seems quite fair, no?
I would suggest looking at their in game counterparts. Each monster has a move set, reactions strategies and and more. As for Kulu Ya Ku (dodo) He has the rare ability to block. the rock is both hammer and shield.. but Kulu is a weaker monster. Wait till you see Zinogre and monsters like Astalos.
Oh wow! I played Monster Hunter: Winds of Ruin, my favorite is the Nargacuga (The Black Wyvern in the video) because it looked so cool, glad to see it again after a year of not playing.
Hopefully the map is going to be a open world type design with the starting hub having things like solo battle mode, doubles, team mode and open world mode with event every once in a while
the dodo is called kulu-ya-ku its categorised as a birdwyvern by the hunters guild and is found in the ancient forest of monsterhunter world and in monster hunter rise its found in the desert. the Kulu-ya-ku is a rather curios egg thief normaly found around herbivores. it is a very inteligent creature and one of nearly no monsters that uses tools (it often digs up rocks or other things from the ground to defen itself. the Kulu-ya-ku uses its beak to open eggs for consumption. i hope thats enough information for you :)
If they are going to finish this game, THEY better add these monsters in as well, (Valstrax)(Velkhana)(Gore Magala+Chaotic+Shagaru)(Malzeno+primordial)(Fatalis+Crimson+white)etc.
IT seems that its very fun and has a good development , a request that I have is having underwater battles for the aquatic monsters in monster hunter , but im surely gonna play it when the development is finish. :D
The dragon is called a Rathalos, the spiky green one is called a Deviljho, the weird black bat thing is called a Nargacuga, the Bird is called a Kulu-Ya-Ku, the red spiky dog is called an Odogaron
If you want to see a little base version of Monster Hunter world try out a game called “Dauntless” has kind of the same aspects. And great video Zoto, love your content, love to see more updates on this coming up game
Wow the movement of all the monster look really close to how they move in world. Honestly pretty impressive. Makes we want to grab my bow and power coatings.
About the Nargacuga wings (the black bat panther monster) 5:30 it can’t actually fly in game, it does have wings however in any game I’m aware of it doesn’t fly. It does pounce though
Surprusingly there is one more frosty wyvern of such type, flies good. No idea why, but yes. Their all share same sceleton and body type. but flying tigrex is even more rare thing.
the kula ya ku is a monster that holds rocks in order to protect itself, its main food sources are eggs from other monster nests which it steals and eats, despite looking a lot like a dodo, it is actually a very smart monster (atleast that's what i see when i play monster hunter) and like said before, can use rocks as a shield, but when it gets mad is when it gets really serious.
Hey Zoto are you ok you haven’t uploaded in 3 weeks😢 Ok I’m scared is he ok we’re waiting for the 300vids special and all I want to know are you ok pls respond Zoto it’s been a month.
argacuga is the black one, rathalos is the dragon looking one, kulu ya ku is the the dodo, deviljho is the t rex, and odogaron is the lizard/wolf thing.
Since you asked, the dodo monster is the Kulu-ya-ku, the bat looking on is the Nargacuga, the dog is Odogaron, red wyvern is the rathalos, and the t-rex looking one is the Deviljho
So Far the development looks amazing, I am worried tho that Capcom the monster hunter IP owners are going to strike this game down when they find out about it like what they did with the ARK mods
The model for these monster are so cool and very accurate to the original one. As a MHW and once a roblox, I couldn't helo but notice how Roblox game are getting so advanced and high quality these days.
Hey guys, you should tell him what these are in the comments, oh, and don't forget to tell them what these are in the comments! Translation: please give me engagement for algorithm.
I absolutely love monster hunter but it is one of the hardest games I have ever played even the easiest one like I got it two years ago and I still have not finished it but it is a really good game
by technicality they are all wyverns lol flying wyvern for Nargacuga and Rathalos, Bird wyvern for Kulu-ya-ku, brute wyvern for the pickle, and fanged wyvern for Odogaron caveat here is Nargacuga is more a pseudo flying wyvern, they use the wingarms as legs rather than wings and there is only a handfull of monsters in that catagory (Nargacuga, Bartioth, Tigrex, gigginox, akantor, Ukanlos, and whatever ones from Monster Hunter Frontier they decide to add later) Especially with Akantor and Ukanlos they are behemoths who's wings have very much receeded to being full on arms so they are very much not capable of flight, but they can jump a decent distance sorry for small ramble i like talking about ecology/biology even with fictional creatures
If more technically - Odo and pickre are drakes, since no wings, standard quad-type mobility, but Kulu is something like raptors, at least they were real.
bluds gonna create fatalis and the cone is gonna be way too huge 😭😭😭😭 (im hoping that they add safijva and xenojiva soundtrack and make it like a raid boss everyone fights or use fatalis as a raid boss)
Would be cool. Though, I do think they should add playable hunters as well. Basically playing as a monster would give you a survival experience while playing as a hunter would give you a more fight oriented experience.
Ngl i can see how much effort and modeling the monster's they made here in "roblox" i have been playing the monster hunter games for a long time, so this is a massive suprise to me that they made this in roblox with such detail
Hey Zoto! I just wanted to say that you’re literally one of my favourite RU-vidr! I don’t really have many words but your content is beyond great and I’ve been having trouble finding people playing games like cos with great content and a real voice! When I found you I instantly liked you you really inspired me to play the game and you have your own style that I really like you will be REALLY FAMOUS one day if you keep doing this so yeah thank you and BYE 👋🏽
i know alot of people crap on the modern roblox game? but as a former vanilla player i am BLOWN. AWAY. by how far this game as come and these visually amazing roblox games people could make
the dodo is known as a kulu ya ku the second one is called nargacuga, odagaron is the the third and the dragon is rathalos, and the t-rex is known as deviljho which is the strongest of all the monsters here
I don’t know if this is already implemented but maybe for the speed of the animals, you continue to hold w/thumb stick but there is a set speed (idk if it can work on models but it can work on humans :] )
so the monsters in question are called kulu-ya-ku (the weakest monster, also a dodo), nargacuga (the bat puma wyvern), odogaron (odo-ga-ron, not odo-ra-gon), rathalos (basically the pikachu of the series), and deviljho (the angry and hungry af pickle).
