Fun fact: Before Repentance reworked Glass Cannon, how it used to work was that using it would bring you down to half a heart from however much you had. Yes, USING it, not getting hit by an enemy while holding it. iirc, getting hit while holding it did nothing. But, it meant that the only character who could reliably use it was The Lost, which was a much better active item than his D4 (which COULD reroll his Holy Mantle back then)

One of the best game breaks with the lost: restock with pound of flesh, add chaos for every item Definitly didn't crash immediatly afterword

10:16 the "Better Tainted Bethany / Lemegeton" mod lets one do that at the start of each floor (by default it's only for T Beth and deals 1 damage, but both of those can be changed in the mod config)
