ENJOY you Dev, because you never sugar-coat anything! The others are more timid yet dont like certain things and never mention them. You are the person we like to watch.
I didn’t find stacking at Hollywood Studios very easy. Not enough rides to select from as the day goes on. My tip is prioritize what one or two rides you would like to go on using genie +. Then take advantage of early entry if you are staying on property. You can easily knock out a couple attractions with no wait using early entry.
Really cool to see the view from the back of the ship in Rise of the Resistance, I think I have only seen the view from the front. When looking at the Cold Brew you got it looks like they didn't give you very much of the sweet cream cheese on top (which is the best part) so I can see where that would've tasted like a standard Joffrey's coffee without it. That cold brew is my favorite snack in Disneyland, when you go back there I highly recommend giving it a try!
My husband and I are not huge fans of the sequels but oh my gosh were we amazed by rise of the resistance and just galaxys edge. I've been showing my daughter your videos and she's counting down the days till we go back. Which isn't till her sister is potty trained. I am so happy you renewed your annual pass!
I never really planned to get Genie+ ever, but I might have to try this one day when we’re back in town. Stacking is the way to go imo. I think the parks are more fun later in the day anyway.
Just discovered your channel this week. Love it! Taking nephews to HS in October for the first time. Hoping we will get to ride Rise…have you ever done a video for the SciFi Dine in theater there. Looks good.
Dev, you ain't kidding. The first time I saw water over $3 I was saying a lot more than you did. Those prices are insane. 24 pack of zephryhills is around $5?
Hey King, I spent today with my family at H-Studios from Philly. The stacking works well for later in the day. The main issue is waiting 2hrs from park open to book the next LL, but i agree with you overall. Big fan and sad me and the fam didnt get to run into you. Keep going
I’m so glad to hear it worked out for you somewhat. If you do the stacking right it can really work. Hollywood studios is more challenging because of how small it is. I was lucky to get slinky dog dash for my first and rock n roller coaster for my second lighting lane. But I did get get even more lucky later on in the day by refreshing the app and a few would pop up like toy story mania. Thank you for watching!!
I bet your right on the coffee, it probably is a one and done thing if your a Star Wars fan. We are looking forward to trying it the next time we are there to see what the hype is all about! Thanks for the info on Genie+ as it did help us try to get an idea on how to get the most out of your Hollywood Studio day.
We are listening to you in line at Epcot!! Sure hope we get to run into you this week! We hope to run into you one day. We are Passholders and here a lot from Alabama!!
Love the videos!! we was in Epcot last Thursday it was hot got there early got on the guardians of the galaxy BEST ride in disney in my opinion hands down!!! I was surprised and wish I could have done it again! Keep cool parks in the summer time is alot with the heat.
I am right with you my friend on the Vader as opposed to Kylo Wren statement. Kyle Wren doesn't scare me at all but Vader shows up and you know something bad is about to happen especially this Obi-Wan Vader oh my gosh
Dev all of the things I have seen says it is impossible to get a individual lighting lane for Rise of Resistance without being a hotel guest. They go on sale at 7am for hotel guest only and sale out within a matter of seconds. How or what time were you able to get Rise? Other lighting lanes are easier to get of course.
Yeah that’s very true unfortunately. I don’t agree sometimes with the system disney is currently using. But my friend was staying at a resort the day this was filmed so he was able to make them for us.
@@PCDev Ahhh that makes sense. Prepared to wait for 2 hours in standby lol. And we have Genie+ for all 4 days of our park hopper tickets thru the military. Ordered portable fans as well as you recommended. Hope to get a pic with the family with you. Keep doing what you doing!!
Dev. Give the coffee another try. Stirring it fully makes it a lot better! If not mixed the bottom is just coffee! Will try the stacking of rides. Thanks for the tips.
What I’ve learned is that stacking for Hollywood is good if you plan on parking hopping there later. If you start at another park and just stack starting at 2, you could do at least 3-4 rides at Hollywood and even Rise if you buy LL. If you plan on being there all day you’ll prob just be waiting around
Great video Dev. Thanks for sharing experience of stacking lightning lanes. How long do you normally have to wait once in the lightning lane queue for an attraction? Just wondering how different it is to stand by queue time. Thanks.
Nobody seems to have mentioned that when stacking you have to wait until there is a lighting lane slot for later in the day. Remember your can't choose your time if its showing one available for say 9-10 am and you want it at 3pm. You will have to keep checking until all the LL have gone before hand. Admittedly something like slinky you won't have to wait very long after 7am until the LL return times are for later in the afternoon, but some of the others will take bait of time to get there. My ideal is when we are visiting a water park, ill book something like Slinky or one of the more attractive rides but not at 7, ill keep checking until the LL times have been pushed for that ride until late afternoon then book it. Then whilst at the water park ill book the others after the two hour slots and have them ready for a late afternoon/evening trip to the park. Remember at the two hour mark you will still be reliant on what is being offered for later in the day at that point in time, some LL may not have been pushed back that far at the time you check. Especially if they are not that popular.
That’s why the first lighting lane I’ll make for the day is for the biggest ride there because usually those go quick and later times will always pop up so I was able to grab slinky dog dash for like 5pm at 8:30 in the morning and then by the time 10:30 rolled around I was able to grab rock and roller coaster for 7:10pm. It works different for everyone it seems lately.
Hey Dev, it was great meeting you at Slinky Dog Dash yesterday. Your videos are great for your honest thoughts and reviews. Thanks for the cameo. Hope to meet you again on our next WDW trip. Keep up the awesome content, we’ll keep watching. Thanks!
My wife and I just watched the video and that is awesome how am any rides you were able to ride, with summer in full swing. I agree with you on the drink you tried there is a lot going on in the coffee
I don’t know if you’ll see this question, or even know the answer, sir. But can you still stack lightning lane if you park hop? Definitely love seeing you have fun at Disney again, makes me happy to go again for Halloween 👻
I’ve never checked, or asked, but I’m curious to know if the parks offer coffee drinks with decaf coffee? (Obviously probably not a cold brew, but the other fancy flavored coffee drinks)
As long as everyone is linked it shouldn’t be that much harder. Hollywood studios is a challenging park when it comes to Disney genie plus but if it’s done right it can work. I’m going to keep trying new ways to use this service.
of course it is hot Dev it is STAR WARS :=) ;=) my goal ride it as often as possible have a full half Day just for Star Wars depends on how long Batuu will take but looking forward riding it plenty times maybe I get to be again the SPY or get the new Versions with MANDO or BOBA???? at least want to see new combos not the same except hope to get the perfect one like last time were I landed in Batuu and could pretend to walking already in Batuu before the tunnel in grand avenue to explore it even more.
I really feel for my family at least Hollywood is a 2 day park. Get TOT and Rock 'n' area done with a little Toy Story Land on one day then come back to do Star Wars and the rest of Toy Story Land
Agreed. The black caff cold brew is nothing special. Not even sweet enough. Here at Disneyland it tasted like watery cold coffee with a hint of sweetness. I even asked for more cream, was told no, I said I’d pay for it, I was told no again. Keep up the awesome vlogs. All the best wishes
I love these experiments! I heard that the new Coffee in Hollywood Studios is different in Disneyland. Apparently it has more sweet cream in Disneyland and so it doesn’t taste as good in Disney World unless you ask for extra sweet cream?
Stacking and getting on your phone all day sounds terrible to be honest. Really doesn't allow for spur of the moment fun. Not the way it used to be for sure.
+1 Disney really dropped the ball with Star Wars. RotR is just meh because no one cares about Ray and Kilo. it should be Star Wars: Battle of Endor with Leia, Luke, Vader, Adm. Akbar...
I actually really hate Millenium Falcon- If you're not the pilot, it's such an awful ride, and if you are the pilot and you're an awful pilot it's an awful ride 🤣 my husband and daughter ride single rider and they are almost always in with 5 minutes
I agree with you 100 percent on the drink. I honestly felt ripped off when they said cold brew yet they filled it with a ton of ice. Cold brew shouldn’t have ice lol.
That is so disappointing. It looks like they barely put any of the sweet cream cheese on top of yours. There is usually a pretty thick layer at the one in Disneyland.
Imagine paying money to go on a kids ride that you already been on hundreds of times. Imagine that use to be free, and now you justifiably paying for it like a sucker. I get it, its for the vlog, but its un relateable
I would totally spend my vacation at the Tower of Terror Hotel if it were a real Disney Hotel!! That would be amazing with all the creativity Disney could do with that!! Disney, please read and build us a Tower of Terror Hotel!! I would make a reservation in a heartbeat!! Oh what Disney could do.............
Thanks Dev - another great video! Oh by the way - Muppets is a 3D movie. Also, I am concerned about stacking. I read and heard from others that Disney is trying to prevent stacking by not allowing guests to reserve another ride until they have gone on a reserved ride - regardless of the 120 minutes! If you've heard the same thing - could you bring it up on your next video?
Ok Dev, I love your videos, love your content, but as an avid Black Caf lover from Disneyland, we are going to have to fight here. Disney World did you dirty first off. The paper cup is a no go. Can’t see the beautiful flow of cream cheese cream into the cold brew, which is half the fantasy of the drink. Secondly, it doesn’t look like the cream cheese cream was made properly or that they even put enough in it. The drink when made properly is magical. I dream of it. It’s the quintessential coffee. Come to Disneyland and try again. I am sure you your opinion on it will change!
Yeah only if you are staying at a Disney resort you can start booking at 7am. Everyone else can start right when the park opens for the day. I had 4 lighting lanes stacked by the time I got to the park around 2pm.
@@PCDev that's wrong. Everyone can stack Genie plus from 7am. Only difference is individual lighting lanes can only be booked at park opening (unless you are on site guest).
Can you make a video where you actually show us you booking these lightning lanes? Just use your camera to video your phone, something.... I'm a visual learner
Here’s an idea, knock out the launch bay/little mermaid/disney junior area and build a cars land! Connect it around to lightening mcqueen by tower of terror! That would be such a good use of that space and really add to Hollywood studios
Disney should consider taking the Universal Route with “Fast Passes”. If you want to skip the lines, one flat rate. A little confusing to figure out for a guest on vacation. Looking at your phone all day and stressing out about acquiring lightning lane or genie plus is mind boggling. Oh well, cool video Dev.
I need to figure this Genie situation out. I haven't been in several months because I live up in Ohio but I've tried it both trips I've been on since it came out and feel like it was such a waste for me. I couldn't get any reservation until later in the day. I don't think I ever got more than 2 or 3 total each park day. I need like a genie plus bootcamp to learn the best tricks to maximize this app. I have a big trip planned in August and want to figure this out.
You know Disney genie plus can be beyond stressful at times. I feel like there are so many different ways to use this service and it works differently for everyone. But I think that’s why I was pretty successful at Hollywood studios because I was making my return items for later in the day. I know the morning return times can go quick! I will keep trying out different ways so I can explain it better in future videos.
Genie plus is so hard but it can work for the most part. I always buy genie plus around 6:30am the day I’m going to the park and then make my first lightning lane right at 7am for the attraction I most want it for then I either wait the two hours and make another one or make it right after I use my first lightning lane. The key to genie plus is refreshing which can take a while and be annoying to be on your phone but refreshing is going to randomly open those rides that seem to not have any lightning lane open to open. I have been able to get tower of terror Lightning Lane for around 3pm after I refreshed the page a bunch of times but it’s random and you have to click on it immediately other wise it could go away because someone else took it. It’s honestly a hassle but one thing that may not work for other people but it’s a fun hack to use if you have another Disney fan that you know that isn’t going on the trip have them from home doesn’t matter where they are make those lighting lanes for you. Like for me I had my boyfriend make lighting lane passes for me while he was in Deland and I was in the parks because I gave him access to my Disney account and he logged in as if he was me. Now Ik this method won’t work for most people and that’s why I suggest the refreshing method but since it can take a hour of refreshing to get the lighting lane you want having someone that cares about you but not on the trip refresh for you at the comfort of their own home and you enjoy the parks is honestly amazing. But again Ik this doesn’t work for most people but it is a fun hack but normally I stick to my refreshing Method if you want to know almost everything about genie plus I suggest looking it up on either allears or Disney food blog those both were super helpful to me and made me able to understand how genie plus works.
I did mix it and it still wasn’t that much of a difference. Somebody else left a comment saying they didn’t put enough of the sweet cream cheese on top.
Thank u for clarifying your stacking method. I understood cuz I'm a degenerate who watches lots of Disney videos. But I was sure others that don't watch as many would be confused. Good job listening to your fans. By the way, muppetvision is Not a ride. U were very correct there. See u on the next one.
can't wait until all the restaurants either come back as full buffets or bring characters back! i work next door i am a CM at prime time! a lot of restaurants got new/updated menus! we did too!
Hey Dev, love your content as always. Just one note, I was is a horrible accident a few years ago and need an ecv to help me get around the parks. It does slow my family down a little, but I couldn’t make it in the parks without it. There are a few of us trying to be careful. But I get there are rude ones as well. Hope I don’t run you down 😀. Thanks for the lightning lane review, still love your content!
Hey Mark. Thanks for the reinsurance. I know everyone using an ecv isn’t so reckless. I can’t tell you how many times my feet have been ran over in the parks in my years by ECV’s. Thank you so much for watching as always!
WOW!! Hollywood Studios so many attractions to see and do. Always enjoyed your Disney parks videos. You make them so exciting and fun. Thanks so much for sharing fun adventures to experience at Disney/Hollywood Studios.❤️
