In this video I talk about why I love the new Ventrac KC220 so much! It was a learning curve from using the old style but this thing is a huge improvement and the radical new design plays a key role in that. Watch this video to hear what I have to say about it and demonstrate it's capabilities.
From the Ventrac Website
The KC220 Stump Grinder features 18 replaceable heavy-duty carbide cutting teeth on a large 22" rotor for removing large or small stumps.
Cutting action is controlled with the forward and reverse motion using the tractor's hydrostatic drive. The Stump Grinder features offset, out-front operation to provide excellent visibility resulting in better performance and efficiency.
An increased rotor speed of 1300 RPM equates to a faster tip speed and more significant amounts of material removed with each pass. In addition, with an increased cutting depth of 8 inches, stumps are removed faster than ever.
The new material blade, operated by the hydrostatic hand controls, helps push material away from the working area to uncover portions of the stump that needs to be removed.
The stump grinder works in a sideways orientation, making this attachment's operation more intuitive, faster, and with an easier learning curve. In addition, set-up and installation on the tractor are easy, and an operator can quickly become a pro at using this attachment effectively.
Combined with the 4520 Ventrac tractor, the Stump Grinder is an agile, powerful, turf-friendly mobile unit for lawns, golf courses, parks, and municipalities.

Cool & creative Video! I love it when a plan comes together. Having 12mph surplus for flux capacitor activation! 😃 That's a whole lot of energy in that disk. Maybe the 4 belts can try to hold it back in case the wheel tries to exit the house with its bearings.😆 Not standing directly in line with that! I can see the need for some heft in the structures design-- and they gave it that.

@@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 it's weird. Most of the other channels that use ventracs have has a chance to test them out. You do the most variety of stuff of your channel. Agreed! Bradley's all-in for Ventrac. One heck of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate who knows, creates great videos of-, technical-discusses, and shows awesome outcomes possible with this equipment-- all of them so well. If you really want to understand why you'd own a Ventrac...it's right here! The value that's been provided way outpaces the cost of 4520 for the company (my opinion).

Only 20 digits for Pi? Your accuracy is going to suffer :) I have been looking at the stump grinder but I have not gotten into this level of details. Not sure it would impact me getting one or not but this is all good info I have not considered. As for folks waving and honking, I know that feeling when I go down to the road. @bluecordprecisiongrading2504
@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 2 года назад
The teeth are not manufactured by Ventrac...and that's a lot like asking how long a chain on a saw will last. It's the way the operator uses it and how careful you are. Again, the teeth can be rotated two additional times for a new cutting edge before replacement

Bernard, my sidearm is fine right where it is. This is the 3rd comment that you've made about it. I would like to hear your story. I'm sure you have a good reason as to why you don't want to see me with it. I shared a very personal story with you, about how 3 people very close to me were brutally murdered. Did you take the time to read it? What are your thoughts about this? In case you missed it, here it is again... Bernard, I'm not sure what your background is, but I was in the Army as a 3rd tier operator for over 10 years, combat deployed and after 9/11, while still in the Army, worked with the FBI and Central Intelligence to locate and apprehend terrorists working inside of the US. After all that, I wanted to live the rest of my life in peace and moved to Northern Maine where we were immediately befriended by a lovely couple, Mike and Heidi. In 2013, they were brutally shot and their house set ablaze by a home invader. He then stole their truck and kayak, made his way to the nearby Meduxnekeag River, set their truck on fire and used the canoe to escape. He was later apprehended. usgunviolence.wordpress.com/2013/09/23/double-murder-killed-michael-kitchen-oakfield-me/ If THAT wasn't enough, my cousin, a decorated Air Force Fighter Pilot, was brutally murdered in 2020, stabbed to death in his own rural back yard by a passer by, walking a trail that went by his home. This thug, then covered my cousin's body in brush, left him in out back, in the heat of July for 3 days, while he lived in his home! www.readingeagle.com/2020/07/24/bern-township-stabbing-victim-a-vietnam-veteran-remembered-for-his-service-and-environmental-activism/ Bad things happen to good people! I don't plan on being a victim, not because bad things don't happen, or that they only happen to the other guy, but because my background demands that I'm prepared at all times. I encourage you to read the links. I hope that answers your question

@@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 I have watched this video onece before and never read the comments. I am starting a stump grinding business with the purchase of my own 4520Z. I am very interested in this due to the fact that I live outside of Memphis TN area and may have jobs in the city. I am very concerned for my and others safety especially the influx of Illegal's into the country. I am a retired 20 yr Navy Veteran. Im thinking of the Conceal carry though. Wondering how the hole cutter does when getting on and off the tractor. I would hope you could do a full video on this subject if you can?
