I think its cause you take less damage. If you stay in, she just smacks your ghost, doing damage to you. Even if she doesn't kill it, it still passes damage to you until it despawns. Leave despawns it immediately and you can dodge the tentacles then kill them. When it comes to Illaoi, if she hits me with e or r I just leave. If I can make her miss, then I fight her. Depending on situation of course.

@@AdamD540 but he often leaves a second or 2 before the ghost despawns. I would take 2 aa from her on my ghost over the delay the tentacles cause you in getting to base/farm.

You’re right. He probably has no idea how illaoi works and is just a bronze elo no mechanic player. You should let him know how to play the game. Maybe offer to teach him in a video series using off meta builds

Actually her devotion to Nagakaborous (Her goddess) is what led to Illaoi x Gp. She put him through the trial with her goddess (no one had ever survived before), he lived, she thought it was hawt and viola: one night stand with GP x Illaoi.

Essense reaver no longer has sheen it's not that good on gp anymore.

I recall essence reaver getting nerfed, but I haven't played the game in like a year so I don't know what the changes were exactly- but it's probably enough to where its not worth building as a mana item.

@@erramus6369 No. But it does have 70 AD, 25 ability haste for faster orange shipments, 25% crit (making damage harder to predict for the enemy and stacking with the 10% damage increase from bloodlord's), and all of your auto attacks on anything from a minion to a barrel to a tower a champion give mana back, right? I don't know if Q counts as a basic attack. But if it does, then you're effectively reducing your Q mana cost by the same amount that you regenerate.

@@jaroldscottwilliams.3rd832you would much rather just not build it, gp cares about dmg and his mana problems are not. a big deal, both in tank and crit gp there are better ways of getting haste and dmg, its called trinity force, the only thing you lose is crit which is not a big deal considering how many other stats u get from it that gp loves, its just too good of a powerspike to have anything else be seriously viable, not to say you shouldnt try it, but there is a reason why noone is building it on him now, i might do like triforce shojin steraks bloodmail liandrys as core health stacking bruiser gp because the dmg amp with shojin and liandries would be stacking and steraks allows you to get the low health ad amp from bloodmail while the shield is protecting you, heartsteel is funny but its kind of objectively not great unless you are just free farming, in which case every item would be fine
