I heard the electric sodi karts like the ones they have at liverpool are much better than the electric bizkarts which i think are at most of the other tracks so i hope these will be the ones Bristol gets if they really are that much better than the bizkarts
These karts were some of the best electric karts I’ve used, felt very stable and easy to use. The boost was able to be deployed in different areas, rather than all in one go which made them better than the Bizkarts in my opinion!
Really good racing there! Your usage of the boost is definitely way different (I'm surprised to see that you were sometimes not even using it to go up the ramp) to what most of us have been doing and it seems to work pretty well for getting those overtakes done, I'll have to give that a go on the next members night. These karts and the new layout really do give the old track a run for its money, been really enjoying them so far!
Thank you so much, I found experimenting with it was really important to find where it would be the best. Where I used it in the video seemed to be the most comfortable for quick lap times, it also allowed to maximise space to other drivers around too. Was really fun to use when close to others as you have to be tactical with it, which added another element to the racing! It was honestly a really fun experience, upset to have nothing to compare to as I didn’t try the old track but it was worth the trip!
@@BenPaines just following up on this as I've had the last couple days to try it out and wow, on public sessions it's honestly so good to do. There were plenty of times where the non-members that knew how to use the boost would just drain it all on the straight, get in front of me, then I'd either get them back on the down ramp or on the final straight. I wasn't able to quite beat my PB with it (with that said, I did set my PB on a members night with a warm track & kart) but came quite close on a public session, ended up 4 thousandths off of it, so there's definitely time to found with it on those members nights. I can't say I expect it to work as well against members in a proper race, but I may try it out on one of the speed 3 events in the future.
@@JB-Karting This is great, if you were able to be that close in a public session, then there's definitely even more room for improvement in some members events. That's a great job and I'm glad it has been able to help, you may be able to catch some of the slower members napping! 🤪
Great video mate! This track is literally a 2 minute drive from where I live, and I've somehow never been! Definitely will be visiting now, especially with the Sodi karts!
Thank you very much mate, I would highly recommend it - especially as it is so close! The track and kart combo is honestly perfect, it feels so nice to drive around comfortably!
@@BenPaines Just been last night, Sodi karts are amazing and much better than the Bizkarts, track also flowed really well. Far less of an assault on the body compared to Warrington. Awesome!
I’m glad you enjoyed them, personally think they’re the best electric-style karts I’ve used so I agree with you 100% and it’s interesting you say that. I’ve yet to go so I’d love to see what everyone means when they say that their body gets rearranged 😂
