This new two seats electric scooter costs just $400! Why so cheap? 

I have the same scooter for almost 2 years.. in California USA. The cost was $750. It has 42v and only 350watts motor. I tow my dog on a trailer at the beach and gets 20-25 mile range at slow cruising speeds.The rear tire got flat a lot, I can't seem to find tire replacements. But still good for the money and I had a good time using it. But now I have a 2500watt citycoco chopper style. Thanks for your quality reviews. I enjoy them.

Cost depends on the country you live in. In Thailand these bikes sell for between $240 and $270. Be aware batteries will last for 2 years, at best, and probably more like 18 months, so make sure you can purchase replacements. Tires usually do not have tubes, but are durable. Still, it's a good idea to make sure you can get replacements. The top speed varies, depending on manufacturer. I have one that only does 25kph, while the other will max out at 35. Quality of suspension also varies. For a year or two of reliable transportation, I see them as disposable, considering the price. I have two of them and they are great for short runs on streets where the traffic is not moving very fast.

I love those scooters, where I live in Latam they're a godly cheap mobility solution, even for mom's with toddlers... The only problem is here in latam streets are a peace of shit full of bumps and holes... And that poor suspension doesn't make it very well here.
