People complaining about too many pests are weird, it takes a lot of bad luck to ever get enough in the 20 mins of a competition to effect your rates ever... Even with the sprayonator I'm only averaging a out 3 pests every 30 mins...

Yea I thought u would get like 10 pests in 20 min and u only had like 200 fortune, but it takes quite some time, so i kinda like the update now

It's because pests break most one block tall farm designs, which are most mainstream ones.

Toad you can shadow fury onto the pests. This makes it great for mega farms with no great mobility between layers

About you not getting the gold medals, it's most likely because of the amount of people doing contests right now since the update is still very new. So give or take a week from now and you'll be able to get gold medals just fine!

More people joining events = easier medals because beating lower gear people makes you in a higher top % than if those dont compete. Its mainly because im ironman and the top 10% of farmers just bought a ton of new fortune buffs, while ironmans have to unlock them. Eventually ittl be easier overall but i need to basically max the update first

Yesterday i was doing cactus to get the final gold medal i was missing, i got it, with exactly the amount needed for gold. Like i was literally exactly gold i was ecstatic since i now have all 10 gold medals

your probably lacking farming fortune because no mossy and no rooted, but both need to be rng carried so its not like an ironaman player could just get them.
