I managed to snag the real deal back when BBTS briefly had him back in stock about a month ago. modern-day Medicos are generally pretty good about reissuing their older releases, so it's definitely worth waiting instead of buying something like this.
@@batvaleska do you have any good recommendations on where to buy these figures? They’re Honestly harder to find than most Figma at a reasonable price. But I’d love to get some peak fiction figures but I don’t wanna drop 90 for a figure who’s original retail was 40-60
To be fair the head on the real one is tiny aswel lmao , this one isn’t bad for a fake besides that terrible face , the hands are also quite over sized on the real SAS figs
I compared this guy to crazy diamond and jotaro kujo, all real and this bootleg is just so... Out of scale lol Since I don't really watch Jojo, would those be considered the newer figures?
@@dstar01 yes, part 3 figures are the oldest, and pretty big but part 1 and 2 are newer, much bigger. They’re the biggest of the series, and then after they get smaller again.
there were two neutral faces because one is the standard dio and the other one is early dio, from his first fully visible apearance near the beggining of the final battle in the manga, notice his double headband
100% agree. Altho it makes him look weird next to the current medicos sas figures, the scaling is actually much more accurate to the art style of parts 1-3 anyway.
The original head is that small. The hands are most certainly bigger (judging by my other Jojo figures). They must have taken hands from some other figure.
my dio figure is awful, i wanted to try a different head but the extras would go on. i put the original back on and now his head flops around. he also came with the stop sign but his arms are too loose to hold it up
I have the authentic version of this Dio figure but his toe hinges are on the wrong feet. Is there a way for me to swap them without breaking the joints? EDIT: I’m currently working on the feet, it’s removing the clay and gold spray paint that would be hard. Don’t ask me about the clay and gold spray paint. It’s a long story.
Common defect with the real dio mine has a slightly broken toe hinge too , I don’t think you can swap them easily u less you remove the whole angle joints
Probably, especially since its shipping from china when the legit one is japanese. An easy way to tell if its bootleg is by looking at the box, if he’s smiling with his teeth in the box its definitely bootleg. Also the box itself is a lot more green when its bootleg, its especially noticeable on the back where it shows the hand accessories, the background should be black but the bootleg ones have a green hue. Theres also a rereleased version with a different box design that has dark diamonds instead of squares like this one, but I’m still trying to find a way to tell the real and fakes apart for them
@@Truly_Jaded Another thing I noticed when looking at bootlegs, on the back of the box there should be a round gold sticker with an S on it. If its sideways or removed its most likely fake
damn it maan i wasted 50 dollars on this thing just to find this video and discover its a fake i mean what was i expecting, the "smirk" head that i got was literally bald, the stop sign didnt fit in the hands, the right leg is super wobbly and so is the left foot, so bad that they almost even fell off, the hands keep on falling off and its really hard to put the knives into the belt. fuck
