When Michaelangelo painted the ceiling, he journaled that he had a “large goitre” on his neck, and that his “face became a fine canvas for paint droppings” 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@gloriaborger8053 It was a letter Michelangelo wrote to his friend Giovanni Da Pistoia during his time painting the Sistine Chapel. If you search on google you’ll find it + a little funky drawing he included of himself painting the ceiling. (For other fun stories about Michelangelo I recommend researching about his relationship with Leonardo da Vinci (they hated each other and I am thrilled about it) )
@@thegraytergoodI'd HIGHLY recommend one of those covid face sheilds. Depending on the face sheild, it won't get foggy at all. Personally, I cannot stand waiting for the inevitable drop to hit me in the face and cause me to jerk so hard i spill the palette all over myself/furniture. The dread gets too intense 😂
@@whatamievendoing3416 it would work but if those ate glasses she regularily uses then there the chance that it'll ruin those glasses by getting into the cracks around the frame. I'd maybe use an old pair if I have them
With this kind of same leaf drawing I would use a DIY stamp for the easy going design, make 3 sizes and touch up a little after. Hope it'll help for your future protects. ❤❤❤
I totally get what yall are saying, but with stamps and paint it can get tricky. I personally prefer stencils because it’s easier to see the direction of the shape, with a stamp you can’t see what you’re doing as much 🫶🏻 I appreciate you trying to help though! 🥰
My house used to have vine murals in the laundry room and at the kitchen sink done by an artist who came and did it when my parents first moved in. Sadly my dad has renovated the house since then and so they were painted over. Thank you for reminding me of a detail in my home that reminded me a simpler and more nostalgic time in my life 🥰❤️
Thank you so much!! 🌿✨📚 I don’t typically do more realistic paintings but practiced for this and am so glad I was able to pull it off:) and grateful to @vaughanhouse for believing in me!
@@thegraytergood You absolutely did pull it off and @vaughanhouse is the most incredible place, you totally added to the magical, cosy feel of it!! I'm sure they're beyond thrilled ✨❤️
i'd suggest adding a thin cushion onto the thing you lie down on, because when i lie down on hard flooring like that material , it really hurts my shoulders. hope this (may) help!!!
This looks beautiful! Im sure that whoever would be looking up at that ceiling would be mesmerized because the amount of detail you painted ON YOUR BACK is crazy! You have amazing talent! I dont often comment on videos but i felt like this one deserves it
thank you so much 🥹🌿✨💙 I hope all the guests at the cottage are just enchanted with all the magical touches everywhere:) so many artisans have work there, it’s amazing!
Its refreshing to hear that I'm not the only one who gets nervous when it comes to doing art for others. That's why I've never really made a job out of any of my talents because I'm just afraid of it not being good enough I guess. Idk but I guess u got to go for it. It looks amazing 👏
@@thegraytergood hi!! i loved this video and am OBSESSED with all the nail videos! u actually inspired me to start taking care of my nails and painting them more often!
Mate, this is flippin' _gorgeous_ ! Super big props to you. Also, getting a sense of what it was like for Michelangelo to paint the ceiling in the Sistine chapel 😛
