Going through a rough time currently and this song may have genuinely saved my life.

The whole album is amazing

I work from home doing freelance 3D art and made the mistake of listening to this album in the background while I was working. When this track came on, I literally had to stop what I was doing and cry my fucking eyes out. As a man, it was taught in our society and culture to be strong. To protect. To push through emotion; to hide it. To lock it away or forget about it. But every single one of us feels it. We just cry alone. I've always been deeply empathetic and intuitive. Things weigh on me. But I've always been calm, and strong on the surface. When my mom died in 2018, that changed. I started speaking out about my pain, as we all should. Because it's okay. This album hits me so deeply (Rory having lost his father) on so many levels. It's an absolute treasure. And I hope it changes the fucking world. Thank you for being real. Know that so many of us stand with you and feel that same exact pain.

“So I think i will go for a night drive, feel the tears flood my eyes, so I think I’ll drive on the wrong side” - what a heavy line. The emotion in this album is something else, even it doesn’t hit directly hit home for you, you can find a moment in your life that you can manipulate the thought of so the lyrics fit.

Without Me is regarded as the best song on the album, but this is well beyond it. "if I last through the night, can you tell me again I'll be alright?" Damn

I love to sing to this album but when it gets to “my paper heart will fold” I can’t sing it, I choke up and I have to just let Rory do the work 😅

i feel the same way when I heard this song bro.. I'm really thankful for these guys making this music for us, a music that expresses what we feel inside, the pain, the struggle, the battles and demons we fight... actually, this song hit me so hard because I'm having a hard time on my emotions for a couple of weeks now... and this is just the perfect one..

About a year and a half ago, My wife and I lost our first pregnancy at 15 weeks and it almost killed her, and at the time, I listened to the song I Am A Stone by Demonhunter a lot, to kind of bottle those emotions up because I felt like I had to be strong for everyone, so the line "On the surface it seems, I'm collected and calm when you need me" hits so hard, this song just shatters me if I think about the lyrics too hard because it's exactly how I felt during all of that, but I just felt like I needed to bottle it up.
