I personally think that people can listen to music in whatever language they want. But I think that when a person discriminates against a genre due to a language is when it's an issue. Which you guys don't do. You're both insanely respectful and it's much appreciated. I prefer to listen to either K-Pop or J-Pop and I can sing along pretty well. I agree with the different playlists too. I have songs I listen to when I work, when I walk places, when I am getting ready, etc. I also tend to listen to English pop around my friends/classmates because they are the kinds of people who will give me weird looks for listening to music in another language. Music to me is very universal and I really don't mind if the song is in another language because I feel the vibe of the beat or vocals more than the meaning of the lyrics.
My second favourite song. Zombie is my first. I've been caught up with other groups, I must get back to them. Hopefully they will be back from military soon.
About adding songs to your playlist, the way I see it is that different people have different things that they connect with and appreciate the most when it comes to music. For some it’s the melody, some the instrumentation, for others it’s even just the way the words are enunciated and how they sound coming out of a singer’s mouths. For you it’s the lyrics that really connect and complete the experience so it totally makes sense that being able to sing along is essential to your enjoyment of the song, especially while driving because the music is more in the foreground and you’re not engaging with anything else except the road. Plus a good sing-along on your way to work can totally set the tone for your day as well 😂 I personally really connect to melodies and I’m not that shy about even singing along gibberish if I don’t know the lyrics sometimes 😝 But I’ve found that I don’t connect with English versions of Korean songs most of the time because Korean is such a high-context language and some translations don’t really capture the original poetic nuances. That said, based on lyrics being the element you enjoy the most, your perspective 100% makes sense to me!
my daughter loves day6 i have had the cd playing in my car many times lol ! I like day6 but not all of the songs are for me ! you have done a few of my favs.....but i grew up in the soft rock era and ive seen def leopard and bon jovi live ! deep in love reminds me its a banging song mainly in korean but its the soft rock vibe i love. congratulations is another fav day6 song its done fully in english and another version in korean.....if you watch congratulations do a double vid the english 1st and then the korean version i think u will see the differences but similarities ! Ive told u before in my comments if ppl dont wanna watch your channel thats their problem and ignore stupid comments , your definitely not discriminating in any way lol .......luv from the uk

Hey, great reaction from you guys, as usual! Also, you guys should really check out the song Tik Tak Tok by Silica Gel. They're a Neo-Psychadelica band also from Korea, but they don't really fall under the 'K-Pop' label. But either way, this song is truly an experience filled with complex riffs and ever-changing structure. I'd go so far as to say it's one of the best Rock songs of all time, not just in Korea but on a global scale. So yeah, hopefully you guys get around to reacting to it!
