I don't think so. He clearly stated that music is poor and it takes people away from ibadah. He categorically said it is better for him of he stops. The statement that he's already rich I believe is coming from a place of encouragement because he (pasuma) might be afraid of poverty if he stops. Wallahu alam.
Yes..they do things that are not permissible too. Musical Instruments, dancing, and people listen to these music instead of Quran believing it's beneficial.
Walahi if the ho world were just leave the entire world for Muslims this world will turn upside down to hard life, there will be no progress on technology and everything.
