I’ve never seen a video with this topic and go this in depth. Props to you. Immediately helped my game, now I’m just looking for players with early and high leg kicks!
Your videos really help me out a lot as someone who always played football growing up I only knows the basics of baseball and you clearly know baseball so I get educated while trying to get better at this game, it’s really fun and I’m not good at all. I can’t imagine how fun it is when you’re actually good at the game
Great vid. I always thought most players have similar timings. Paying attention to leg kicks actually distract me but imma try to look into this more. I been warming up against the CPU on legend and be Whooping them hopefully it’s a sign I’m getting better lol
Agreed. I’m in the same boat tbh. I never could focus on leg kicks as it distracts my mind but I can see exactly what they mean. I usually focus on the shoulder (idk why) but it works for me online and against legend cpu haha. I’ll try it out maybe when TA2 comes out soon.
Each batter has his own leg kick, but you can see when they’re about to put the foot down and you start your swing. If it’s a strike you’re getting good swings. It’s even showing it on the timing picture to the left.
Negative. The leg kick will tell u whether a pitch is a FB or an offspeed pitch. The thing is that very few hitters have the same animation for both type of pitches.
I can’t use the pci. I can’t ever correctly guess where the ball is going so I have to just bat using button timing. I also have to play on rookie cuz veteran whips my ass.
All this is making me realize is how dumb and broken this game is 🤦🏻♂️ I shouldn’t be having to watch my batter to know when to time it. I should be having to watch the ball. A batter irl can’t watch himself swing in real time. Stupid.
Right when the foot lands completely. There are some players with fast leg kicks like Marcell Ozuna and Matt Olson, others have average leg kick like Mike Trout and Acuña and others have a long leg kick like Aaron Judge and Justin Turner but at the end u have to notice ans get used to his move with the peripheral vision. Im currently making an extensive list with every leg kick's LS player (spanish version). Maybe you might take a look at it in a near future
I'm a freak and use analog stride 😂 i just love the immersive feeling of it. I sit around 650-750 ranked and I'm just fine with that knowing I'm sacrificing competitiveness for immersion
I’m not an awesome MLB THE SHOW 24 player by any means but.. the Derek Jeter caption card super glitchy. Just saying, haven’t heard much about it? Kinda wondering if it just me 😂
You can also start counting on ONE right when the ball comes out of the pitcher's hand (release point) and then count to TWO. So the method works as follow: 1. After counting ONE, you have to ALWAYS look at the fast ball to time his pitches. 2. Once u know the pitcher's gonna throw a fast ball, start counting to time the fastball like: ONE (RELEASE POINT).. TWO (BALL REACHED TO CATCHER'S HAND). Thats the timing for ANY fastballs (90mph and above). You're basically doing tempo but with the pitcher. 3. if the count reaches TWO before reaching to the plate then the ball is an offspeed pitch (change up, slider, etc..) Hope this tip helps everyone who are learning tempo and have to always look at the leg kick which is kinda frustrating.
@@Prnharlem130stNiceee. Ive improved this method now and Im working on a document with the leg kick of every LS player. It'll take me quite a lot of time but it'll worth the time spent.
I appreciate the advice. I would pay attention to the leg kick and would think the timing of the leg kick determined what pitch was coming and I ended up messing myself up mentally so I appreciate you being honest and saying this.
assuming i’m only going for the XP and don’t care about stubs, is there a huge difference in the amount of XP you get from one conquest game vs one mini season game on veteran
Coming back to this vid a few months later. Tempo is different from the leg kick even though It still goes off the leg kick. They load a bit earlier when it’s faster pitches very minuscule thing to see but very easy to see when facing someone like cease with 100 mph fb and 70 mph change up . None the less, the early leg kickers are the best for tempo, this the first year I’ve become constant 1000 rating after learning tempo and also I’ve beat a couple too 50s. Much respect to you for the info to folks bro, love the vids I know this one is old but I still come watch It form time to time
I’m having major issues hitting. I’m starting to wonder if it’s my internet. I either hit a home run or nothing. For example with Gary Sanchez I have 7 hits. All 7 were home runs. After about 600ab’s I have 1 double. With buxton I have 2 hits in 57ab’s. If I’m offline I’m not a great hitter but i get doubles. Could it be the internet?
For me I’ve been pretty fortunate in not getting caught up in thinking about players swing animations. It’s never really been something I’ve thought about. It’s always felt like different swing animations isn’t relevant FOR ME. I focus on ball and timing the pitch and have success that way. But I can see where if you do get caught up in the looks of different swing animations you can start too feel like different animations make a big difference when really I think all it is that animation suits your eyes better so it then feels better or “faster” or the opposite it feels “slow” and weak. So for me I’m better completely ignoring the player and his animation and focusing only on ball, my thumb pressure resting on the button during pre-pitch routines and timing the press.
Man I know this is a bit old especially with the new update but I've been struggling for 3 days, couldn't hit anything. I needed something to put a dent in my slump and while I know this is simple just hearing someone remind me that timing isn't just about when I think I should swing but the individual batter seems to have worked. I was on a 0-3 streak against the cpu on all star in a mini man 😭. So I thank you for your time.
I’m having trouble in seeing the curve ball low. And not swinging at it. So guys just spam low ball and I can’t hit. I built up a good team and started playing ranked and that happened, so I haven’t played in days. So frustrating
My personal hack is to use 1.50 - 2.00 magnification reading glases along with the precision rings. So much easier to see the type of pitch from the release point! Thank me later.
Is there a reason why you use the bar PCI? or is that just preference? I’m using altitude with the star fighter inner, simply bc I feel like it helps me with verticality for my swings
I been watching the Show videos for years and ive never heard anyone say this. That's how you know all these top players tips and tricks videos are bullshit. They'd never tell us the truth to actually help us get better 😂 So shoutout out to this guy. Earned my sub.
"Where the ball is in the zone horizontally" I feel like this is where I struggle. That and depth perception. Any suggestions?? Thanks for the great video BTW.
Cheat code?! Lol!! I played college ball and played since I was 4 years old. I use the word tempo as well, but either way is fine. In my opinion, though, being a pitcher myself, look at what is closest to the pitcher release point. For me, focusing more on the logo on his hat. Some use the letters, and some use the shoulders to the right or left hander. All of these work very well within The Show. Find what you like and go with that. I look forward to more of your videos, my dude. Sorry for the novel I wrote😅
@CJ12KYT I wasn't talking about you, dude. Lol! You mentioned other people thought it was a cheat code and made it clear that it's not. I apologize. I didn't word myself properly. Hahaha! I like your channel a lot! You're very informative and actually try to help us all out, and that's really a kind thing to do. Look forward to more of them!
