Y’all must be really bad cus I do this and I hit any breaking ball or fast ball, unless it’s in a really good spot I won’t swing. I knew this b4 watching this vid.
@@james_hard_e4785me personally i place my pci on the pitchers side they throw from and where the release is and track it from there but everyone has different ways just which one works best for you
If the ball comes out the pitchers hand and it’s moves up then it’s a breaking ball but if the ball goes start at you then it’s a fastball or sinker n what not. At that point you just gotta take what that person likes to do and what that pitcher can throw.
Another tip that helped me a lot is not swinging until the batter plants his front foot. My timing goes from pitchers release to the batter’s plant. That’s all the time you really have but once you get that rhythm down, now all you have to do is be selective.
@@mogunz9643and of course it's not a hundred percent because this crap is hard. But you will succeed more the more you practice. The real grind is mental as being able to fail and still keep a positive attitude believing that you will produce sometime in the game
I actually have more success hitting when I let the ball come to me. Not being afraid to let the ball get deep and react to the pitch. And if I’m having trouble picking up sequences, or don’t really know what I’m looking for…. I sit middle fastball and react to any pitch near the middle early in counts. Best advice anyone ever gave me in mlb the show, is see the ball and hit it. Seems obvious, but the more reps you get over the years, you will get better and better it’s inevitable.
Its insane how simple yet effective this advice is😂 like it sounds very obvious but no really if you just sit at the right angle to catch this everytime you have those games where u mercy ppl😂
@@manupr354that Bautista card throws gas but I can hit his gas much easier than Randy because Randy also has the 85 mph slurve while Bautista slowest pitch is like 93
Ive noticed that after a while of doing whats mentioned in this video, i started being able to predict the general area that the ball was gonna land on based solely on when the hand releases the ball, ex: early release from the hand means high or middle and complete follow trough usually end up in a lower to almost on the ground pitch etc.
This made such a huge difference in my game right off the bat. I’m on hall of fame and my pci placement improved and just had to work on timing. Just hit 3 homers in a row following this method
Or just use quadrant guessing to eliminate half the strikezone. Still dont know why Im THE ONLY ONE who has done this since the came up with quad guessing. Yall like doing things the hard way even though your soft gen zers who DONT like things hard.
It’s simple, work the count to get ahead and when it comes to timing “stay back” in other words give the ball time to reach the plate. Better late than early.
I’ve been playing Diamond dynasty since the show 15 and never been a threat. There will be a span of 2 days at most when I’m hitting well. But most of the time it’s just a dice roll. My record is 35-17 which doesn’t look too bad at first, but my batting avg is only .244 and most of those wins were when I first got the game and was playing other bad players in the lower divisions. There isn’t a specific pitch that I do well against. I have the same chance of hitting a HR on the corner of the zone than I do in the middle 😂
Focus on cutting the zone into smaller parts. So instead of trying to cover the entire zone, work on the inside part. Dominate inner half, and if you can do that, then expand your zone
This is spot on. And the point of all of the practice is that you are still going to fail alot. Especially online and on hof or legend. But because of the practice you'll succeed alot more the more you commit. Just like everything else in life 😂
I’ve seen this type of comment a lot, imma post an updated short on it. But to prevent slamming there’s 2 things you can do. Pci Anchor to the area opposite to where you slam, so let’s say you slam middle down, you anchor middle up. It’s a short term solution but can help. 2nd thing is to stretch your hands out. It sounds weird but people slam their pci because their hand is too tense so they flick a lot instead of moving to the ball. In the end, we want to think of the pci as a reticle not a sling shot. The smoother the pci is, the more consistent hitter you’ll be. Hope this helped you out.
I don’t mess with stick sensitivity, when you play on different difficulties the pci moves a lot faster on higher difficulty with more range. So you can’t get a good feel for what’s the best custom sensitivity
I tried this but I keep swinging too early. I would usually swing right when the ball is almost at the dirt, right where the turf and homeplate dirt meet to be exact. It works, sometimes lol
just keep practiving. another tip for hitters when learning to hit. is to take pitches and follow it with the pci gets u more comfortable following pitches, then u can look for like up in zone or slider. sitting on a pitch
You should also change your hitting to just buttons only. What is the point of purposely making the game harder by having the more complex batting controls
people shitting on this most important tip. i GUARANTEE you (because i catch myself doing it) that you have no idea how ADHD your eyes really are pre-pitch thinking you’re “looking” at release point and break etc. nah we all get in that rut where we like “wtf!? i 😅can’t stop swinging at shit pitches...” this tip right here!! literally fucking inhale and exhale and just focus on that highlighted circle he edited in there around the hand. it will literally lock you in to any pitch they got in their arsenal AND you can get SO good at knowing what’s a ball or strike regardless zoom or strike zone camera view. TRUSSSS GREAT CONTENT KING
I don’t even know how I hit lol I can’t look at pitcher hand or hitter leg kick lol I just wait and hit what ever comes but I can recognize the pitch very well my average is 389
I like following the pitchers glove to the hand going behind the back, then continuing to follow the motion of the arm. This usually helps to follow the ball and square it up if it’s across the plate, as well as recognizing early if it’s off the plate. If I get a 2-0, or 2-1 count I aim the pci at the pitchers head and look for something up in the zone. I hardly ever strike out and win 100 games per season at a hall of fame level.
Bro ive never plaayed any type of mlb game till about a week ago ive been playing and i fuckinf absolutely suck at hitting. Bro i cant hit no fucking ball. Im always missing if they throw high i bat too low if they throw low i bat to high like fuck i never know where their throwing. I only play online too.
Ok, so pick up the pitch right out of the hand….. then what? What does that even mean lol. All of the tips are pick it up out of the hand but no directions after….
Jeez bro. Easy to be in practice mode taking only middle pitches and then talk about ball tracking. Not hating but atleast have other pitches in different areas of the plate while telling us how to play better
