I don’t understand how you can say these are good prices Trogly. These prices are ridiculously inflated for what..? A different color? Different knobs or pickups? Can’t justify it
Yeah, these prices are truly ghastly. Unless there's something I'm missing, there's really no reason any of these guitars should cost 5K. It's all about fashion - which seems kind of obvious considering these are only so costly because of their special looks, but they're really no different from fashion, watch and handbag brands that create artificial scarcity and exclusivity. They're expensive because they're expensive, basically. But I wonder how many of these guitars actually get any action as instruments 🤔 I still like looking at them, though.
+1 on seeing much more of the Aged Pellham "Blue" that's actually an awesome green. As a green-SG collector, I'm also real interested in that factory tour green SG that you mentioned watching the Andertons video.

The blood splatter LP would've kind of been a niche guitar if it were released at the time the TV series Dexter was running. Of course it may have had to have the character name and or likeness of the actor on it. I don't know about that first thing with the separate skull . Doubt its real but there is a degree of morbidness that says no to me. I'm thinking the pumpkin colored LP might be better looking in person. I love the looks of the Fire T 60s standard. It's got a striking color and isn't taken away from since it has a transparent pickguard. Though gold or orange control knobs likely would look better on it. Maybe amber knobs like on thst blueberry one following it. Or imagine it done sort of like the Trad Pro AAA flamethrower but still having the clear pickguard. I like that Black Satin SG. Also love that SG Standard in the Euro market.
I think Gibson went overboard with 'Bludgeon' which could've been changed to 'Blood Spatter Spec' or 'Blood Beauty'. I'd still ROCK that axe! But my fav is the Melon Fade Metallic access. I love Floyd Roses regardless of the complex string changing and the white hardware accents it perfectly.
My wife saw that Icy Indigo Flame top and said it reminded her of a pair of jeans, with the amber control knobs being the rivets on a pair of Levi's or something. I definitely see it.
Love the Silverburst LP Jr. Double Cut , the Dusty Pine Burst is a cool finish but Im not a fan of the smaller semi-hollows , the Arctic Cobalt P-90 SG is very cool ,Too bad about the Fire fly Sparkle ES-345 it is a DOOMY BEAST ( in a good way ! ) ,the SG Custom super faded Pelham Blue is a holy chit cool guitar , Ide love to own a Candy Apple Blue SG with those specs !...Thanks Troglyz !
Trog, you kind of answered your own question about that guitar in the Euro Mod Shop. The serial number alone tells you it's been over here before. Besides that, I remember it because I had thought about buying it
Austin I can't believe you didn't like the fire iced tea finish. I thought for sure that would be one of your picks! I agree with the clear knobs and pickguard though. The pig guard is unnecessary in my opinion and those clear knobs rarely look good on anything. The blood splattered custom did look cool in my opinion. Way more tasteful than the one from the way back with the handprint. That one look like it was actually from the scene of an un-alivimg.. Gory for sure!
I don’t get it . When you get a great Gibson is really great . For the most part is 3 to 4 grand for a guitar that’s made to medium quality and plays ok at best
Love the 58’s. I was born in 58 and I prefer the plain top so that’s a win win for me. I got to play one once at an Arlington Texas guitar shop back in the 70’s. They were asking $5400.
Salutations Austin! I really liked the finish on the Dusty Pine Burst 339 and the 1964 SG Standard in Heavy Antique Pelham Blue, it is actually looks like a very nice candy apple green. The Fire Tea Burst Les Paul Standard is actually a nice finish, it might benefit from a different set of knobs, which is a very simple modification, personally, I think 50’s gold knobs would look great on it. The Copper Metallic 70’s Flying V is interesting, mainly because it is not a common finish on a Flying V, and I think it has a lot of potential, it definitely looks different depending upon how the lighting hits it, I also think the Arctic Cobalt 1963 SG Special is interesting for the same reasons, unfortunately, for me, it is left handed. It is a very uncommon finish for an SG. There are a lot of other nice instruments, however, these are the few that really stood out for me today. It sure would be nice to win a huge lottery payout, so I could add some of these instruments to my collection, for now I will just have to be content with what I can currently add to my collection. I just recently built a pair of custom Stratocasters, (parts casters), with the help from my local guitar shop, which turned out very nice. I am currently putting together another one for a friend to give to his son for Christmas, whom is a singer/songwriter living in Nashville, Tennessee, I hope he likes it. Chibson isn't worried about making their product 1 for 1 replicas. They are in the business to make something that is close enough at a budget. I'm sure someone could custom order one with it if their attempt is to try and scam though
great video, some nice and some not so nice guitars. some nice prices and some rediculas not so nice guitars. the blood splatter guitars are just in poor taste to say the least
