Of the pilot watches, I really liked the TWA tribute the best of all six models. Didn't really need another watch, but for that price, I placed an order for one today.
Removing the Islander Text and keeping just the logo made for a very clean look on the dial. Wonder if you can go further and put just a lume filled Islander logo to replace the marker at 12 and remove all text from the dial for some of your future models.
@@dustinr16 date only at 6 o’clock is a much better implementation in my opinion. Maybe even a no date would be better. To each their own, though. My only real complaint is that it uses the SKX style bezel and not the Sub style like my ISL-091 has.
Thanks for this. Just and FYI, using Firefox and for some reason the pages on your company site will not show pictures of watches where they did not long ago. Checked on my end, no luck. What's changed?
Bought the ghost dial pilot watch, and was looking at the one offered here because it had the airplane on the seconds hand. It was a close call actually! Hope they sell out! Haaaa.... well, I just looked online and this bad boy has sold out. Too bad for me.
Mark (or anyone else), why do you wear your watches past your wrist bone? I see a few watch RU-vidrs do it, but it feels so uncomfortable to me. Is it just a preference or is there some advantage to doing it? I’m just curious.
I prefer above the bone, but with weather changes, a perfect fit becomes too tight on my wrist. So, I had the bands sized to avoid that, which means a looser fit and sometimes it slides below the bone. It used to bother me, but I’m used to it now.
@@ethanlareau3970 Ah ok. I don’t have any watches with bracelets but that makes sense, thanks 👍 I have put my watch below the bone when wearing a coat/jacket with snug cuffs, to keep the watch outside and visible. Thanks for your answer.
